KC’s Family Tae Kwon Do is a professional and family friendly martial arts school that serves students from across the Verde Valley of Northern Arizona. With students coming together from Cottonwood, Clarkdale, Sedona, Camp Verde, and Rimrock, KC’s leads the way in building a strong community at it’s training center in Cottonwood, AZ. In the ten years since the organization began, it has built strong connections with school, charitable and civic organizations, it has created focused leaders in the KC’s students, and has made «family» out of friends. With over 20 Black Belts, ranging from 1^st degree thru 4^th degree, participating in both full-​time training and teaching, the instructional staff in our organization is top notch and sets a prime example that inspires our beginning students.

History

Established in 2006.

KC’s Family Tae Kwon Do was started to support families, adults and children in the Verde Valley. Master Karen Conover, Owner & Head Instructor (4^th Degree Black Belt in 2013, Masters of the Arts in Music Education) has been studying martial arts for 17 years and has been a teacher (first of music, then martial arts) for over 25 years. She has led the KC’s organization since it’s inception in promoting nearly 80 students to black belts (1^st-​3^rd Degrees), coaching 100+ State Champions, fundraising & donating to charity over $ 50,000, and inspiring thousands of students. KC’s is very proud to boast a Leadership Team that includes over 30 students of all ages that assist with classes — a group responsible for the incredible community that’s been created on the mat and off.
