This place is a hidden gem. Batter is light and fluffy. First time here looked on Unilocal and I stopped. I am glad I did. This is now my goto spot for Fish and Chips.

This place does not disappoint — her sides and sauce are fresh — not packaged. Fried fish was crisp and fried oysters hit the spot. I can’t wait to come back and try her fresh fish and lobster.

Food very bland, no taste. Could of spend my $ 28.00 bucks on a buffet for two and had way better

It was a Friday during Lent and I was craving a good Fish n Chip platter so I found this place through Unilocal while working in the area. When I arrived, Fish n Chips were on my mind but after seeing their vast menu of fried seafood and other dishes, I found myself ordering otherwise. Fried clams were delicious and for the side I had fried yams. Sooooo yummy! In the corner of my eye, I did see this novelty called«Fish n Chips on a Stick». Naturally, since that was my original intent in seeking out this place, I just HAD to try it. And boy did they not fail. What a brilliant idea! Cod wrapped in potato & battered, attached to a skewer then deep fried. Absolutely genius!!! I hope to find a reason to be in the area again, but Fish n Chip cravings on a Friday night just might be reason enough. Warning: not recommended for those who are dieting or have some kind of heart condition; deep fried foods are their forte. Two thumbs up!

Good food, I got the daily special 2 pieces of fish, shrimp and fries. What made the meal was the super friendly lady(Owner) who totally welcomed me and gave me a history lesson on the long history of this restaurant. I think she said they have been operating in the same location for over 25 years. Will be back.

One of my favorite local fish and chips in the area. Their batter really hit the spot with everything on the menu. From the fish to the shrimp and the fries, if you eat them with tar-tar sauce you can bet to call the rest of your day a good one. Can’t say anymore but come and have fish and chips mates!

Thanks to Unilocal reviews I found and tried this place tonight! Ordered fish, fries, and calamari. It was all the cash I had(they only take cash payments). My order was done quickly. And sooooo fresh tasting and crunchy. Not greasy at all. Very casual; can eat in. The owners are so friendly. Kitty says they’ve been around since H. Salt went under in that same place. Her sister has an eatery next door too.

Here Kitty Kitty Kitty… Off I go for some fish and chips. Love the smell of fish and chips(crispy) and yes I do give a piece to my neighbors cat, because my neighbor always tosses a rib bone to my Jack Russell(Benny). Kitty is the owner of this place and is really a sweet nice lady who is really keen on remembering us. Always a cheerful smile and when I call my order in, as soon as I walk through the door… the food is just coming up. That’s what I call great service. When I do order there, they’re still just as fast and the fish is really great. My mom’s favorite place and she loves to eat out here and the place is always clean.

Family is coming here for years, probably 20+ years as the old H. Salt place. Still great and super nice service as well! This is the place to go for fish and chips. In fact, when my family comes over from out of state they ask to come here! With that said, check it out!

Let me first say I am kind of spoiled. I had a fish spot but it burned down and this place is not my old fish spot. This is a small place with seating for maybe 10 people. We ordered what we came in for but the prices were different from the menu listed here on Unilocal.I ordered 2 fish specials that come«2 fish, one jumbo shrimp and fries«. I also ordered the Cajun popcorn shrimp that was again different from the menu price and listed as a special. It all came to a little over 20 dollars. Everything is served in a small separate boat sized paper tray. The fish was soggy in the middle and the jumbo shrimp was nothing more then 4 small shrimp bound, battered and fried. Not a jumbo prawn like one might think. The only crispy thing was the fries and Cajun shrimp. I feel like everything was frozen because the fish is all shaped the same and the shrimp was rubbery. The portions could have been bigger and the quality was just not there. I was not impressed and will not be returning

Was thinking about where to eat after going to the gym right next door and I had seen this Fish and Chips restaurant before and thought it was a good chance to try it. This is a family owned restaurant, as the cashier consulted his father, the chef, when I asked about the menu. I ordered their scallop combo which came with 3 pieces of shrimp, 2 scallops, and 1 piece of fish and chips. The batter was not too thick like some other fish and chips restaurants and all of the items I ordered were very good. My sister ordered their 3 piece fish and chips combo but said she thought it was a little bland. I used to visit the H Salt fish and chips place in Pasadena on Rosemead and was looking for another place closer to where I live and found that this is a good replacement. Their food is good and the wait was not very long, but I came during the week for lunch so another day of the week or time might be different. I recommend coming here and will definitely come again.

My first time here, was not disappointed. Good fish, good shrimp, great hush puppies. The only reason I gave it four stars is because its a cash only place, so beware if youre rolling in with only a card. Other than that you should definitely give this place a try.

Not bad for fast food type. You can’t go wrong with the Fish & Chips always cooked to order. My favorite item is Cajun popcorn shrimps– not too spicy, rich flavor and crisp. Don’t forget to order their fried ice cream for dessert.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here, but still good like always. If ya ask me, I’d get the Cajun popcorn shrimp if you’re not too hungry and you don’t mind spicy. Kitty’s always here and super friendly. Hope to be back soon!
