Michael Pauls Entertainment & Party Rentals

I should have seen the reviews before going with this place, but unfortunately, I was pressed for time. Looking at the reviews, you can tell which reviews are the sincere ones and which are the made-​up ones.
Warning signs: 1. The poor communication (wrong time length and quote on the contract than the one discussed on the phone) 2. The wrong appointment time and length given when the hired character called to confirm (This suggests a breakdown in communication within the company). Because of this, I was nervous that the character and assistant would not show up.
When they did show up, I was surprised to see two very young girls standing around me and my wife and not saying ANYTHING, to the point we thought they came as guests with a relative. When I finally spoke up, they said who they were and we walked them over to their requested reserved table. They then notified me that a third person (I was only expecting 2), who was playing the character, was running late. The girl showed up about 15 minutes late.
When the girl showed up, I noticed that she stood around and was talking to the girls that were already doing the face painting. By this point, my wife and I realized the lack of experience these girls were displaying and felt the need to be more involved to get the ball rolling and to get my dollar’s worth. The whole point of this paid effort was to have Mario (the character) entertain my son. There was no costume in sight. I then walked up to the 3^rd girl and confirmed that she was the character. She then asked me to TELL HER when she should get in costume. I let her know ASAP would be nice.
When the girl in character and one of the other two girls came out, they were walking around very slowly with the kids and not doing much else, while the other girl continued with face painting and balloons. Again, feeling the need to get things going, I asked the girl helping Mario — the character if she could play games with the kids (like I asked for through the coordinator). Anytime my wife and I have hired a character to entertain the kids, we are used to them TAKING OVER AND ENTERTAINING THE KIDS. My wife took over with the babysitting of these girls and told me that their efforts in playing games with the kids were very poor.
Had I not seen the other poor and consistent reviews that were very similar to my experience, I would not have written this review, but the truth needs to get told until this company improves the quality of their work. Do not be fooled by the fake reviews.

I hired them for my daughter’s Inside Out party. The ladies that came were awesome. They were very nice and professional. The balloons and face painting were great. «Joy» was very pretty and the kids loved her. The guests had fun and I would definitely hire them for my next party. Thank you.

I hired my Michael Paul’s for my Lil girls birthday party, I hired Anna & Elsa — the girls that played them were great & kept my daughter in awe… I would recommend this company for there great people.

This company has amazing workers, who really know what they are doing in multiple areas of work. When it comes to dj’ing, princesses, princes, marvel characters, bar tending, servers, they know what they’re doing.
I had Michaels company come for a party that I had my work set up, I requested 3 princesses for my coworkers birthday, they painted faces and made balloon animals. Even though we’re all adults we still all felt like kids again and had a great time.
I also used Michaels company for my sisters sweet sixteen, I requested 4 servers, Michael himself as the dj, and a bartender. The party was seriously popping! Everyone had a great time no disappointment whatsoever with any of the guests. Good music was playing, servers were on it on serving guests left and right. I even had guests ask me what company I used because they were so pleased.
ALSO Michael’s company is also extremely caring when providing awareness on illnesses. I attended a pediatric cancer awareness fundraiser where there were 5 princesses. They were all so beautiful and friendly! So professional! watching all the children’s faces who attended the event light up was the highlight of the day! All the princesses danced with everyone, socialized, and really brought great energy to the event!

You have a right to know how this company operates. Michael doesn’t do the work, he sends very young workers (maybe 16 years old, maybe younger, I don’t know). These kids do not know what they are doing. He makes you pay a deposit through «friends and family» on Paypal, so there are no taxes to be paid, and no way of disputing it in case they don’t show up to your event.
We hired a «catering» staff for our wedding that lacked basic serving skills– they didn’t know which direction to pour water from a pitcher, change chafing dishes, or bus tables. They were supposed to come early to set up and get oriented, but they came 15 minutes after the wedding started and left 15 minutes early, even though we paid for that time. Half the staff stood around the kitchen while members of my wedding party started serving other guests.
This was completely unprofessional. I sent a message about how unacceptable this was, and I got a canned reply for «$ 50 off your next booking.» Are you kidding me? THERE WILL BE NO «NEXT BOOKING.»

Michael Paul’s has high quality characters with the best price around. Some companies make you pay an arm and a leg for less than Michael offers. I highly recommend using Michael Paul’s for everything party related, it will be the highlight of your party!

Awesome performers who can sing and dance! Highly recommended! We hired four Frozen characters for our Holiday Stroll party in the Village of Glendora.

They were awesome!
My son had never had a character at a party for him before and this company set a great precedent! I had read the reviews and read all the negative ones, but still took a leap out (backed with many many prayers), and i am glad i did.
First off my son birthday happen to be on the hottest most humid day of the summer, and Michael and his crea came out ready to go! Dressed in a baymax costume taking pictures with the kids, blowing up balloon animals, and doing face painting that was just some body drawing stick figures and calling it face painting. They took their time, paid attention to detail and my son had a blast! He ESPECIALLY loved that Baymax gave him a present before he left (though we had to explain who the flash was lol) he loved every moment of his party. And in the end that is ALL that mattered. My son had a great Hero 6 birthday, for his sixth birthday and he will remember it forever.
Thank you for making his day, and making mine super easy by doing basically everything (but the piñata and the cake haha). We WILL be utilizing your services again in the future!

I was at a pediatric cancer fundraising event this Sunday and Michael Paul’s Entertainment was there entertaining with 5 princesses and face painters. They were all so beautiful and friendly. I watched all the kids as their faces lit up when the princesses talked to them or asked them to dance. I was very impressed with their energy, they danced and got the crowd in on the fun as well. It was so hot and all of them kept a smile on their faces and were completely professional when the rest of us wanted to pass out! I am booking them for my next event. You can’t go wrong with this kind of entertainment!

I have used Michael Paul’s for two children’s parties. He was prompt, provided great service and had the best price, and I shopped around. I can recommend this business without reservations.

I used them for Iron Man and Captain America. Customer service was great easy to pay via paypal and very responsive. They were good. You could tell the guys were young but they did good. Did not have a lot of games and we filled in but I think they are good and worth it. I am a party planner and have used different companies and will use them again!

My daughter wanted Frozen as her party theme.. I am soooo thankful we booked their Elsa and Anna. They were awesome! The kids loved them. My daughter had a blast! !!. Will definitely recommend you guys!!! Thank you for making my daughter’s party special!

I had Elsa and Anna for my girls’ birthday party this past weekend. The ladies were very professional and interacted very well with the children. I definitely recommend them and will use their services again.

If I could give them a no star I would. Total disappointment. We rented the ninja turtle. The costume was cute but she couldn’t see where she was going. All the character did was walk around. Mind you I paid for 2 hrs. She probably had the costume on for about 15 min. In total time that she was there. She didn’t do any games at all! Total rip off!!!

Used them for my daughters party recently. Two girls dressed as Elsa and Anna for two hours. They girls were a little late but very apologetic. Can’t beat his price and the kids were absolutely in heaven. I referred him to a few friends already

I hired Mike for my son’s 5^th birthday party. (Batman)He charged me $ 250 for two hours. Total disappointment. He sent me a young kid with absolutely no experience as what or how to entertain my party. We paid a high price thinking they would be good no need to worry about entertaining the kids… well let’s just say i was the one having to tell them what to do. I was already busy enough hosting my party yet I still had to stop and think of games for them to do. I should have rented a super hero costume for a lot cheaper and had my husband entertain instead. Never again. I suggest you ask and confirm who he is sending you. The two kids were great but the superhero was I would say 15 – 16 years old with o experience. It makes me think if this man hires young kids todo his work… and he just gets paid not caring for his customers requests. Oh he also ruined my sons surprise by not relating my requests to his young kid employees.

I recently used this company for a bubble guppies themed party, the costume I wanted wasn’t available but I was informed that they could get it but it would cost more and children don’t really care for mascot costumes so we went with a guy dressed as the character we wanted. Communication was great and it was a plus that she explained to me the differences and what not of the mascot costume vs costume. The character arrived right on time, the consume wasn’t exactly what I thought it would be and looked homemade, he was a bit unorganized but you could tell he was extremely nervous all in all he did an amazing job! My son loved him and he was so sweet! We will most definitely be using this company for future party entertainment!

Great service for a Disney princess, face painting, and balloon artist. They were truly in character while at the party. My daughter and all my guest loved them– they definitely got more business from all my fiends and family– I was very pleased with the service set up process and also the performance given for the kids– this is my go to from here on out. My daughter is already asking for more princess’s for future parties!!!

Love them! Highly recommend! I used their photo booth for my 21^st and it was the hit of my party. They were professional with the process and when they arrived two of the sweetest men handled everything and I didn’t have to worry about anything. It was really cool because when the pictures printed out they were able to cut them in half and I got one strip and the people who took pictures kept another. It’s 4 pictures taken and comes with UNLIMITED photo taking which everyone loved! I don’t remember my 21^st so the only thing I have to remember it by are the photo strips I kept and framed. I will be sure to use them for all my future parties
