This is a dive bar pure and simple. Great bartenders and patrons and friends. Darts and dart tournaments and dart leagues with 6 Phoenix dart boards. Drink prices are reasonable, and they carry better beer and liquor than you will find in most dive bars. This is a smoking bar. If you like to smoke while you drink, this is your place. If you can’t be around smoke, stay away!

Smokefest for sure. Only been there once and vowed never to return. Talk about leaving smelling like an ash tray. Def need firefighter gear to enter that smoked chamber. Good thing there is a Laundry spot next door to do a quick load after you leave Rendezvous.

If you love dive bars, you’ll love this place. I liked the friendly service, chill crowd, volume of the music, and don’t forget the drink special before 10pm! I went here alone so I was a little nervous, but there was nothing to worry about. Very nice crowd

What can I say… this place is the best! My favorite Dive Bar in Covina Been coming here for years, so I might be a bit biased. Positives: 1. Classic Dive Bar(only cleaner): Complete with wood paneling and cigarette smoke. 2. Cheap Booze 3. 2 for $ 5.00 !!BESTSPECIALEVER!!! 4. Veteran Bartenders: The Ambers, Nate and Tara are just freakin’ awesome. 5. Space!!! There are tons of tables. Negatives: 1. Classic Dive Bar = Cigarette Smoke! 2. Lots of Locals: if you’re new don’t expect to be pampered. 3. NOPOOLTABLE! I love a good game of pool with my whisky. 4. Id like to see a better selection of beer… Overall, this place is everything that I would expect from a local dive. Give it a chance and you’ll find yourself loving it as much as all the regulars do,

Absolutely love this bar(probably cuz I’m a local) my new favorite bar after I moved to Covina I used to frequent the cove which is also a cool little spot. Usually just get hammered at the bar then go home at a reasonable price!

I’ve been around to all the dives in Covina. This one fit me best. First off, I have to say it is a matter of preference. I’m a middle aged local. I don’t like crowds that go to the Chatterbox where the music is so loud you have to yell your order to the bar tender. Can’t walk to the bathroom because they don’t realize they are at capacity. I also enjoy a good deal, unlike the Vinos where its easily $ 12 – 20 a drink. I also expect my drinks to be nice and stiff, which excludes Katie Jakes for me. If you want a nice quiet time, friendly bartender, some local friends, and are on a budget this is your dive.

It’s your typical dive bar location. Drinks are cheap and depending on the bar tender strong or weak. Just like most places. They have an internet juke box and a megatouch(you know… one of those units with all the touch screen games on them). The bathrooms are super clean. Which to me is a big deal in the dive bar arena. No pool table. They get an extra star for the extremely neat dart boards. They are digital on top and they are hooked up to the internet. You can even play people in different countries. Super cool!

Gross smoking indoors! Should be illegal. I couldn’t stand being in there for more than 5 minutes because it was so stinky and filled with smoke. My hair & clothes wreaked of smoke when I left. Ugh.

I grew up in West Covina, but never frequent any of the bars in the area. I met up with a friend in Covina and Rendezvous was the suggestion made. When I first walked in, I was greeted by puffs of smoke, FABULOUS! The vibe was mellow. You can tell that this is a «locals» bar. They have no beer on tap, however, their drinks are rather inexpensive. Towards the end of the evening, rap was blaring the entire time on the jukebox, and there were tons of drunk«WOOHOO» girls. These girls were attempting to create a seductive dance party. OHBOY! This bar wasn’t my scene, and I left smelling like an ash tray. Talk about involuntary smoking!

A nice little dive bar which is in a quiet area in Covina. I’ve been there twice and I enjoy the variety of people that go there. Plus, drinks are cheap which is of course a plus. Also, nice variety of music from the Jukebox and generally a nice attitude in the bar. Con’s, however, are that it’s indoor smoking. I was there for a bit and i got home wreaking of cigarette. I didn’t realize it until I got home. But not a huge deal in my opinion because it’s not so bad to the point where you can’t see because of all the smoke.

A friend of mine took me here once for a random outing to get a drink. I am a native to the area, but never have been to this place(I mostly hang out in the OC because all my friends are out there and it has an actual music scene, unlike the SGV). The people were cool. Even got a free drink from some cool new friends. The bartenders were nice. One of them even made a impromptu drink for me after I made a request for him just to make one up, and it was delicious! He even added an umbrella for me(I’m a sucker for those…). The only con was I smelled like smoke when I left and the bathrooms were smaller than my closet. But it’s not a big complaint.

Ahh, another dive bar notch in my belt. One bar closer to a complete life. Pool tables, juke box, lonely souls cradling their poisons, as well as the regular locals… Yup, its a dive bar. I didn’t pass out, black out get beat up, kicked out, ripped off, or mugged. I enjoyed my cheap Sutter Home(Stutter Home, Stumble Home, Send Her Home wine). A perfect nightcap after going to the Ducks game. So yea. It’s all good.
