I will never use them again. They replaced a thermocouple on my water heater and it broke after a month. I asked them to come back out to check it and they said that their parts are not under warranty. They were only interested in trying to get me to change my entire water heater. They gave me 2 different quotes the first time and second time out. They are inconsistent with their prices and I feel they only want to get money from you. Bottom line, I don’t trust them.

Absolutely professional in every way. Made the call at 930PM on Memorial Day Monday and they had someone out to my place by 11PM. The main sewer line was backed up and I had all sorts of stuff coming out of the toilet and bath tub. Needless to say, Ivan saved us from a very long night. I would highly recommend their service to anyone. Thanks again!

We used this company earlier this year for a very expensive broken pipe. The work was done as quickly as was possible, the delays were from the city inspector. I now have a dripping and broken faucet in a bathroom, I have the parts, and what should have been a simple home repair, now needs a plumber. I called yesterday, spoke with Lisa, who was very nice, and an appt. was scheduled for 2 – 4 PM yesterday. Just before 2 PM Lisa, called, I imagine to double check that I was home, and I was assured the plumber would be coming. At 5:15 PM, no one had come, and no phone call. I called, and was assured a plumber would still be coming. NO ONE EVER CAME! At 9:45 PM, I got a call suggesting we reschedule for tomorrow. So, after waiting for more than 7 hours, why would I ever bother to reschedule? If a Monday appointment wasn’t honored, I didn’t have any faith they would show up on Tuesday. Will never call them again. Their loss! I have a 45 year old house, what are the odds I won’t ever need another plumber?

I needed a gas pipe cut and capped off. Joe helped me out and was very kind and professional. I would recommend the Rescue Rooter service to friends.

They were prompt and helpful by answering questions we had. Very courteous and clean. They were quick to clean up after themselves.

NEVER, EVER USE THIS COMPANY! On December 9^th 2014, my 14 year old water heater broke. Since I have two small children, I needed it replaced that day. These guys said they could come out right away and replace it. When they got here they said that because our previous one was so old they had to add new piping, gas lines and straps. I was home by myself with my kids and they took full advantage of that and charged me $ 2475 for a simple installation and a 50 gallon tank. Since I had never had to replace a water heater before and while that seemed expensive, I paid it not knowing any better. Fast forward 15 months to yesterday and the water heater stopped working. Apparently it has a defective part that is going to cost me another $ 375 to fix today! So not only did they over charge a lower income family of 4 by at least a $ 1000 from other prices I’ve been quoted 16 days before Christmas, 15 months later the water heater doesn’t even work. I’ll be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau today.

We had an issue with our tub not draining. Rescue Rooter (Jeremy M.) was there quick. He was very courteous and professional. He was able to fix our problem and fast. We are more than grateful to have some come out on a Sunday (3÷6÷16) for us. I will gladly recommend Rescue Rooter to anyone. Great job Jeremy, sorry you had to sweat so much! But we are still without problems… Thank you!

My neighbor told me about this service and that they came out late last year and snaked her drain. She provided me with the coupon they mailed her and I gave them a call.
Christian was an angel. He was very knowledgeable; he was able to walk me through several scenarios and took the time to assess the problem. He was able to resolve my clogs in a very professional and courteous manner. Kudos to Christian and Rescue Rooter.

NEVER USE RESCUE ROOTER!!!
I came home from work on Thursday to find two Rescue Rooter trucks parked in front of my house with three of their workmen gathered around my wife. The sewer had backed up from roots clogging the line and the Rescue Rooter men had come to snake and video scope it. They had me stand at the video screen and explained that there were multiple breaks in the clay pipe which necessitated digging a 65 ft. trench and replacing the line all the way from my back bathroom to the city sewer. I was told the project would cost me $ 15,000.00 and they even offered to finance the project at 5.99% interest. They would not provide me with a DVD copy of the video.
Since one of the breaks they said they had located was a few feet into the street my wife called the city of West Covina and two of their city workmen came out the next day. They brought a city contracted plumber who used a six inch spreader to clean out what he described as a lot of roots. (Remember, the Rescue Rooter men had already been there and told me THEY had cleaned out the root blockage) The city contract plumber then video scoped and told me the line was now clear of all roots and that there were no breaks in the clay pipe. My sewer line was in tact and without any problems! NO CHARGE TO THE CUSTOMER. He recommended that I should have the line cleared once annually with the six inch spreader in order to keep the root problem under control.
If Rescue Rooter had their way I would be drowning in the sewage of a $ 15,000.00 debt for replacing a sewer line that had no problems! I repeat: NEVER USE RESCUE ROOTER!!!

I called around 11:30 am and they sent Jeremy out and he was here before 1:00. He was extremely courteous and polite and VERY helpful. He was professional and the job was completed in about an hour. He didn’t leave a mess!
Lisa was professional and very courteous as well!

I used Rescue Rooter’s on-​line option to schedule an appointment for a drain cleaning. I got an e-​mail response with an appointment reservation number. When I didn’t hear from the plumber after the appointment window expired, I contacted Rescue Rooter through their web site chat line, and was assured someone would call me. When I still didn’t hear back, I called a live person, using the phone number on the e-​mail they had sent me, and was informed that they had no record of an appointment at my address.
I realize it’s a Saturday, the day after Christmas, but their lack of response isn’t acceptable. I don’t know if Rescue Rooter LA East had anything to do with this abysmal service, or whether it was the national franchise, but I won’t work with them again.

Had a pinhole leak somewhere inside the wall, gave them a call, guy on the phone was very professional, and thats about it. One and a half hour later, the technician called, basically told me he does not have any supply on his truck to do the job, and have to wait until HomeDepot opens next day morning. WTF is this? and what’s the point of having a ²⁴⁄₇ type of services which can’t even handle a leak repair? After all, when you finally call in to cancel the services, they make you sound like an idiot…
Seems you guys spend all your time and effort here on Unilocal doing damage control rather than servicing customer who need their leak fixed.

I’ll give it to you straight up:
The tech they sent out did good work for what they are in business to do — fix leaks, backups, etc. Helpful in that regard. Their management is the problem, they GOUGE customers on subsequent repair pricing. I don’t mind spending the $ 3 or 400 they charge to identify the leaks or problems, but being quoted to pay thousands on repair jobs that normally run 2 – 3 hours by a local plumber is ridiculous. When asked why their pricing is so out of whack they said «We use a computer model to determine pricing». Well l could hire a NEUROSURGEON and TRAIN him to be a plumber for less than what they charge on an hourly basis for the particular job we encountered. Market rate for a plumber in LA is $ 70−80/hr, NOT $ 1000 AN HOUR for the job.
Your computer model is flawed and is causing unethical action in the marketplace by taking advantage of distressed homeowners. This is a classic case for the BBB or Ripoffreport.
Bottom line, IF you use them to find the issue take pics and send them on their way. Hire a licensed plumber to perform the repairs at FAIR market price! JD

Mike and Jeremy came on a Sunday within an hour of my phone call. They found the problem, explained the solution clearly and fully, even using computer graphics to help illustrate the problem and the correction strategies. They were well, mannered, clear, polite, professional and just excellent in their customer service! I can and do recommend their company and their work without hesitation.

Very professional and clear about the work being done. No surprises. As first time homeowners, it was a pleasure to work with honest people. They are able to do an entire home inspection and list any repairs that need to be done. They ran a camera through our main line and showed us exactly what was causing backups. We also had them install new toilets and kitchen faucet.
Reuben our tech was very professional, and did an amazing job at digging a hole to get to our main line (because we had a damaged clean out) that was cemented over (previous homeowners). He also kept us informed when he was going to arrive and when he left the property.
You can decide whether you want to do all the work now, or decide to do it over time. And payment is not due until all work is complete and inspected by you.
Overall, I am completely satisfied with the work done and would definitely keep them for future business.

Sunday morning I began to have problems with water back up into my kitchen sink. YUCK! I called Rescue Rooter and within 1.5 hours I had a technician at my door. Paul was very thorough, informative and he cleared a «VERY» clogged line in less than an hour. I was provided with good service at a reasonable cost… AWESOME!

«We don’t do laterals.» Well, what the hell do you do, then? They called and told me this on a Saturday morning two hours before the appointment. It would have been appropriate to let me know days earlier when I scheduled.
This makes sense based on one woman’s review here where she said the work had to be redone. Probably what happened is they replaced her sewer pipe to the right-​of-​way and left the old lateral (no matter how damaged) intact. That’s okay if the problem is in your home line, but many times the issue is in the lateral which stretches to the city’s main line in the street. So just tying into another stretch of broken pipe won’t do the trick.
You’d better damn know whether the sewer problem is in the lateral or not before you call a plumber who doesn’t want to look at laterals.

Nick the manager contacted my dad and cleaned up the work they originally did. They came on time and finished the correction on time. He came with John and Nick definitely made a valiant effort to try to remedy the sour situation.

Rescue Rooters is so easy and FAST. Our kitchen sink was clogged and the disposal wasn’t working, so I made an appointment for a drain cleaning online for a same day appointment. I got a call from a representative literally 2 seconds after I booked it. We were able to schedule a visit for someone to come within 2 hours. Amazing. Anthony was our service guy. He was courteous (covered his shoes with fabric before stepping into our house), on time, and efficient. He also gave me a call when he was on his way. Everything was working within 30 minutes. Total cost was $ 90.
Bonus points for being able to pay by card and receive an e-​mail receipt on the spot.
Would hire them again!
