Tim Chen

We were becoming disillusioned and frustrated before we met Tim Chen. We had looked and looked and nearly purchased a home that had too many issues before our referral to Tim.
Tim was understanding, flexible, patient, and earned our trust. This led to the purchase of our first home. Without Tim understanding our needs and interests, and treating us like friends, we likely would’ve given up hope. Searching for and buying a home can be overwhelming, exhausting, and stressful. Tim made things much easier and we will forever be thankful.

Tim helped me and my husband with the search of our first home, and succeeded on the first try. We found a home that we were interested in while browsing online, so we contacted Tim. He immediately drafted and submitted our offer the following business day and did all the following up necessary with the sellers. At the end of week, he was able to get us the house! He continued to be very dedicated throughout the escrow process to make sure all of our questions were answered while we were signing our contracts/​documents. He made us feel like we were his priority as he was always reachable by phone, email, and in-​person meetings. He was definitely very dependable and I would recommend him to my all my friends and family. I hope to work with Tim again in the future!

As a first time home buyer, I had no idea where to start. I just had a general idea of which cities I preferred. Tim helped with a run down of the whole process and answered any questions regarding purchasing a home. I didn’t feel rushed to purchase a home, it was more important that I found a house I could call home. He was very patient as a I had a lot of questions and wanted to look at a lot of homes (and I mean a lot). He had no problem setting up 10 – 15 different appointments on a single day. Tim is very knowledgeable and was able to give me his honest opinion on things. He was very professional and took care of all the necessary paper work and would give me updates even before my lender would contact me. I felt like I didn’t need to worry about anything because he was on top of everything before I asked.
Aside from all that, Tim Chen is an awesome person to work with. Definitely would recommend him and will use him for my next purchase!

I first met Tim a couple months after I sold my house and on my way to look for a new one. Even though I had no problems with my previous agent when I sold my old house but somehow I felt that he was not completely honest and trust worthy. Therefore, I was looking around someone that knowledgeable and most of all someone that I can trust. Tim is great agent with the whole package. He was very professional and patient. It was hard and rough of three months that to look and buy a new house for me and finally we did it together. I was a little over a year into my 1.5 year house hunt before I met Tim. Previously I had worked with 8 different agents attempting to find that perfect property and none of them seemed up to the task. I often felt I was being rushed through the house viewings or hassled into placing an offer on a property that just didn’t have what I was looking for. Mind you my search requirements were not common or simple (hence the 1.5 year hunt) and I made each agent aware of this from the get go. I encountered none of these problems with Tim.
From the very beginning he was attentive, caring, and competent. Previous agent experiences had me hunting down each property that fit my needs before going through the agent for a viewing, not the case with Tim. Daily MLS listing updates provided by Tim, sometimes multiple times a day, made sure I knew what inventory was available as soon as it hit the market and I didn’t have to go looking for it myself! He would even call the listing agents if he thought the property would be worth a viewing, and had available appointment times ready for me before I even asked! He listened to all our requirements and our wants, advised us on realistic expectations, and held our hand (figuratively) throughout the whole process. When I say he listened I mean he really listened and did great at only suggesting houses that came the closest to our requirements. Tim was even courteous enough to drive us around from home to home for viewings.
The search itself was not easy as our parameters led us to some interesting properties with interesting «issues» many agents had never seen before. After having dealt with so many unsatisfactory agents, it was a pleasure to see Tim’s vast real estate knowledge exceeded expectations. For those rare or extreme circumstances where he himself was unsure, he was quick to draw on his network of highly capable real estate professionals /​brokers to provide the information we needed to proceed.
When the time came and we finally started escrow, Tim was there the whole way, offering advice on dealing with the lenders, to negotiation tips for dealing with the selling party; he even helped us pick out our inspectors which later saved us a bundle! I really felt like Tim was looking out for our best interests the entire time and cannot stress how much of a pleasure it was working with him. It’s now been almost a year since we closed on the property and guess what I find on my phone, a voicemail from Tim letting me know my home warranty will be expiring soon and offering his help in dealing with them should we wish to have any work performed prior to its expiration. At this point there’s nothing left in it for him yet he continues to go out of his way to ensure his customers are happy long after!
Because of this experience, I’m currently working with Tim on the sale of two additional properties and I’m happy to say the impression is the same on the sale side, if not better. If you are looking for a real estate agent to buy or sell a property through then look no more, Tim is your man! Thank you Tim for everything you’ve done and everything you continue to do!
