Vista Pointe Apartments

My husband and I chose Vista Pointe apartments primarily because of the location, the beautiful well kept property, dog friendliness and awesome management. We were a little skeptical al first because it just seemed perfect. We both thought there has to be a catch lol. The pricing is a bit high but for what we got I think it’s great. I feel the place is up to date and modern. The model is very similar to what you will actually get but they have floor plan drawings which made it easier when we were shopping for furniture. We own an Australian Shepard and he likes it so far. We take walks everyday and always run into friendly neighbors! It just has a nice feel overall. There are designated puppy areas and doggy bags around the entire place which is great!
We dealt with Clarissa and Jimmy the entire process. Clarissa assisted us in viewing the model and answering all the questions we had as first time renters. She was very patient and kind. We are very family oriented and my parents came to visit the property before we actually moved in and she was happy to give them a tour. They came and told me she was great! We dealt with Jimmy with all of our final paperwork submission and payment. He was truly great, he made it seem as he was happy we were joining the community. Not rushed at all, he gave me our keys, walked through the apartment with me to make sure it was up to par and also made sure i didn’t have any unanswered questions. Clarissa and Jimmy are both very professional and are very attentive. I would recommend to deal with them if your interested in our community :)
As far as communication, I would recommend contacting them via email as it may give you a faster response. I found I had a little trouble getting ahold of someone by phone. Understandable though as they might be out giving tours or showing a model. Overall great experience moving in, and so far so good! I love our location and everyone seems nice! Nice to call vista pointe home! :) will update in a few months!
P. S. Dog park is about 9 minutes away which is awesome!

I had the option of renewing my year lease or moving out. I decided too renew my lease, because I haven’t had any problems living at Vista Pointe Apartments since I lived there. I appreciate the fast response from the management team for any concerns regarding my apartment. I appreciate that there security company patrols the apartments, 24 hours everyday; and causes me and my family too have peace of mind and get some good sleep at night. I also noticed that the new management team that took over a few months ago has been more concerned about the tenants needs. I recently had one of my family members loose their IPhone, and I called the main office at Vista Point to see if they found it, and one of the maintenance workers found it and turned it into there office, so I was able get the IPhone back, because they have honest employees.

I have been living at Vista Pointe for about 6 months now. The property is secure with gated access and overnight security, and it is a quite property as well. The staff has always been friendly and eager to help, and the maintenance team is top of the line as well. I have a small storage space off of my balcony that helps with my storage and my apartment has been renovated making it feel like new. I love calling Vista Pointe home! The pools and gas grills are amazing as well!

Have been living here for 2 mo. now. Everything goes well. The complex is secured by professional security and the management team is awesome and nice.
MORE IMPORTANT THING: If you want to get your cable installed, I will recommend the guy who is also recommended by the leasing office, Paul, from TWC. He is one of the nicest guy I ever met and able to do an awesome job in second.
Since I can’t leave such a message to his boss, I’d love to tell this story here. I have also got my friend’s house connected with Paul’s help. I appreciate his professional job and delight way to serve.

I have been living at Vista Pointe apartments for around five months, and it has been amazing. Growing up I moved around more than a few times and this is by far my favorite apartment. Very calm and quiet environment and the staff is very friendly. There is always more than enough parking spaces, the only downfall of my apartment is there is not enough storage space inside the unit.

We have lived here for 9 months now, never a moment we regretted. Peace and quite, friendly staff, maintenance are very friendly. Loved the facilities.

The apartments are nice, but some of the upgrades have made other things unusable. The stoves are larger which makes it so you cannot open the drawer next to it without opening the oven. The bathroom door in the master bedroom does not open completely because it hits the shower curtain rod.
The maintenance crew is great. They are very attentive and they follow-​up. The personnel at the front is nice (for the most part), but they do not follow-​up on anything. It took me three months to get a gate code. Being a single mom and having to load my baby up every time family came over because they could not get in the gate was a pain. I sent emails and made phone calls for weeks on end. Finally I got a gate code and surprise surprise… it did not work. The personnel at the front also sometimes leaves early unexpectedly. When you are a working person and fly home so you can go to the office only to realize they left early for no reason (with no note), is frustrating.
I only stayed there for four months. I requested a pre move-​out inspection, but never got one. I left the unit very clean (even took pictures). They still kept a portion of my deposit stating they had to «sanitize» the apartment. It’s the first time I have ever had a portion of my security deposit withheld. They also hold it for the maximum of 21 days which is tough if you are relying on that when you spend money moving into another place.
I would have liked to stay here because I liked my unit and the location was ok. However, I don’t want to pay high rent for a high maintenance place. I shouldn’t have to make repeated calls and draft numerous emails in order to get something like a working gate code.

We just moved out of this complex. The maintenance team is amazing. Completely heartwarming and do the job in a timely manner. Bonita and Jennifer from the front office is amazing!!! Bonita is the best tho! The only person who will not give u an attitude. The rest of the front office staff is always so rude. Always with an attitude and any complaint just seemed as if they wanted to know the ‘chisme’. Completely unprofessional. Our apt always had roaches. And not just regular roaches. BIG ones. Multiple complaints made. But until our downstairs neighbors moved they went away. The parking is wonderful. There was ALWAYS parking for ourselves and guest. We always got noise complaints for music. Even at 3pm!!! We felt as we still lived at home. Couldn’t even enjoy our living space. Our apt was spacious. But uncomfortable because we we’re surrounded by the management. No playground for kids. Overall, quiet place. Not kid friendly. Majority of the staff is rude. I’m glad we left!!! Too expensive to top off all the negatives.

I’ve been here for 2 years and I just renewed my lease again. I gotta say that living here at Vista Pointe has gaven me a peace of mind. The first year was a little rocky with changes that were occurring but since this new year hit it has really turned around.
Pros of living here:
Maintenance Staff is really nice and fixes things in my apartment that same day. The office staff is nice as well, they really helped me an issue I had with my neighbors and helped with taking care of it without making things completely awkward. They even sent me a follow up letter which I’ve never received at other places. I love that there’s SOOO much parking available, because my last place I can only park 1 car inside and my second in the street. (no assigned parking– YAY!)
Cons:
This year I received a rental increase of $ 50 but I found out I was still paying less than what they were offering to someone walking in the door. So I couldn’t complain much. But I did start searching at other places and I couldn’t find a place that had so much amenities & nice interiors like I have. I guess I’m spoiled here. So safe to say I will be staying for my 3^rd year.
So if your looking into living here, I would recommend it! I do have to disagree with the last review, where she mentioned the rat traps as a negative, but I’m glad they have them because I sure don’t want them in my apartment. (better out than in)

I’ve been living in this complex for a year now and I absolutely love it here… It’s quiet and I feel very safe which is a huge thing for me since I get out of work late at night. I had a small problem with my garbage disposal, and they were seriously out the same day checking on it which is awesome because I hate having dirty dishes around! You can tell the girls in the office really care every time I’ve called with any kind of concern or question they always help me out! At previous complex’s I’ve lived at they have been so rude and talk to their tenets like were stupid, they hear you out here and help anyway that they can… The pool is always clean all the tenets are really nice. It’s safe to say I’ll be living here for a while :)

I recently tried to get an apartment here, but was denied by the property management company.
The girls who work in the on site office are great, they did everything they could to help us get into a place, however when it came down to it the credit was an issue. If you have less than perfect credit I would not consider this place because the management company (not the gals who work on site) are very unforgiving. Makes me laugh because I could buy a house with my credit score but I couldn’t rent a unit here.
They are very expensive for being as small as they are, however if you are low income ask about a bond apartment. The units are small but the layout does make them feel larger than they are.
They are dog friendly, however the dog rent and deposit is high.
All in all, you’re paying for location because the units are pretty tiny. The grounds are clean and lovely.

I lived here in 2006 – 2007 during those years it was a good place to stay. Management has open communication, they treat their tenants well, and have 24 hour security on-​site.
I gave it four stars because it was a little pricey and for the size of the unit you can rent else where and have more room. They made repairs quick and will even hold your ups packages in the front office if you are not home.
The only down side was that it is a college community, not good for small children as it can get a little loud in the evenings.

I wish i had researced this apartment and read all the reviews before moving in. I didnt know that people have written reviews about this establishment. Anyway I was in this apartment for 1 year and the reason we moved out bec the rent is way too expensive. I rented a 2 bedroom and 2 bath for $ 1600 and the unit was too small. After moving our furniture we barely had floor space. I recommend to use small or petite furniture like maybe from Ikea. I asked why it was that much after realizing that other community apartments (like Gladstone Ridge) dont even charge that much. They said it is because of the cabinets which are white with silver knobs, and that the appliances is upgraded. Their refrigerator is Hot Point and when I first moved in the fridge was not working. it took 48 hours for them to get back with me. And it was fixed. The cabinets dont have stoppage point so therefore if you have small kids and they start pulling the drawers out all they way it fall out and can cause injury to the kid. it almost happen to my kid but thankfuly I was there to stop if from falling of the hinge. The assigned apartment we were in it was dark all day. In other words no light can go into the apartment considering we are downstairs but still I realized I had to pay way more to my electric bill because my lights are always on day and night 24 hours. I felt like I did not see the sun while living in this apartment. The people upstairs walking footsteps can be heard to the point at one time I jumped out of the bed in the middle of the night thinking a bulldozer came to the house I realized it was our neighbor upstairs. Walls are thin I can hear conversations from the back side of the apartment. Also which is the most important is the school rating in the area. For elementary Cedargrove Elementary School rating is 7 out of 10 you can see parents review and details about this school
. Yep i didnt check this site before moving which I shoul’ve have. I think with that rating of the school they should not charge way too much rent because of that factor. If you check Arcadia School District. in the same website ALL their school is rated 10 out of 10 and you can find rent there less than $ 1600 or less than $ 1200. And most utilities such water and trash are included. You know with that reputation such as Arcadia both the city and schools you will be sending your child in one the best school in Southern California. Also Vista Pointe uses a third party to bill their tenants with water and trash i believe the name is AUM and I was upset bec I wanted to pay my bill online and to do that they add $ 4.00 for administration fee or convenience fee. And my average water bill is $ 50 – 60 with them. Plus I cant get Dish Network because my apartment is facing away the satellite and I had no choice to pay cable from $ 35.00(Dish Network) to $ 60.00 with Charter. I had no choice. but to get Charter. TAKE NOTE: The community has water faucet outside the apartments but has NO knob for tenants to use it. I have asked the office If i can use the water faucet to clean my patio and my entrance walkway especially on summertime it gets really dusty and dirty. The lady responded «I am sorry we can’t let you use it because our water bill is going to go up» And Im thinking what? I am happy to say that Im renting an aparment that has lot more space, 2 bedroom, lower rent, better appliances, 10 rated school district, walking distance to high scale shopping centers, restaurants, my rent includes water and trash we have our private walls one level apartment and I am very happy. Guys do your research!!! which I failed to do. I dont mind the neighbors Indian or another nationality. I embrace all races. The staff i dont mind either. By the way fitness gym the equipment needs an upgrade. When i run at 10mph speed it stops. Check other apartments GLADSTONE RIDGE their layout is better for me high ceiling and plenty of space. I honestly think the rent for this type of apartment should be around $ 900-​$ 1200.
