Unfortunately, Dennis Binder-Payne of Boarder Construction slid into my bathroom remodel job via last minute referral/job dumping from Ruff Construction, the construction company originally assigned to the job. I would have never hired Dennis otherwise. He was a nightmare to work with throughout the entirety project. If I listed all of the issues we had with Boarder Construction this would turn into a multi-page review, but here are some of the highlights: He consistently came late and left early, often not arriving to the job-site until after I called to ask where he was, which caused our small 9×5 bathroom project to run three weeks past the timeline(though when he began he assured us he never missed a deadline). Dennis attempted to over-bill us by 25% over our contract price when nothing was completed beyond the initial agreement(«Oh whoops, did I charge you sales tax twice?»). Dennis needed to be told several times to correct the obvious. He failed to provide an agreed upon credit to us for missing supplies that we provided. To top it off, when we called him out on these issues he vandalized our place with a nice little expletive statement in paint above our entrance doorframe during his last day on the job(very professional). I also contacted the President/registered agent of Boarder Construction Remodeling Inc., Terry Payne, to communicate our concerns and didn’t receive a response back(again, very professional). I seriously can’t imagine anyone being happy with Boarder Construction’s work. Consider yourself lucky if you’re reading this before signing a contract with them, if not prepare yourself for a serious headache.
