Do not count on David… We used David to help us close escrow when we purchased a house in Covington. In theory, one of the things he was paid to do was verify the deed and property lines… a task which he completely failed to do! — Almost a month after closing on the house we found ourselves involved in a property dispute and ONLYTHEN did we discover that our property lines ARENOT what where we were told they were when we closed… 20 days AFTER closing David gave us the Corrective Deed and asks us to re-initial all of the closing documents since he «…had now informed us…» of the true property line. The kicker to all of this… it was the SERVEYOR who we hired to mark our property lines that made DAVID aware of the Corrective Deed! It was the SERVEYOR who asked DAVID if we knew about the change in property line! Apparently, David never checked the county records. …whatever you do, DONOT count on David!
