Back to Mugshots again. This time, I had the Cajun«Dixie» Chicken sandwich and beer-battered fries. It was very enjoyable. No complaints this time, and our server Devin was great!

I first have to say I rated Mugshots at two stars because I have previously had five and four star experiences at this restaurant. Walking into the restaurant at 7:30 on a Monday night, my wife and I were greeted as a nuisance rather then guests. We sat down and received unsweet tea instead of sweet tea. The food came out and the burgers were somewhat dry and the fries were cold. The service was great after being seated, however the food left a lot to be desired. Hopefully they can be more consistent. Love the concept and product. Just not very consistent at the moment.

So-so burgers. Nothing to write home about. The friends I were with said it was an off night though. I would have enjoyed a Wendy’s or Sonic burger more honestly.

Meh. Not impressed. I know ordering grilled fish with veggies at a burger place is asking for it. However, if it can’t be executed with some decency, it shouldn’t be on the menu. The portion was diet-sized — even the veggies. However the real shame was how incredibly overcooked and dry the fish was, and how mushy and wet the vegetables were. Even Tony Chachere’s couldn’t revive it. My compatriot’s burgers looked well-sized and juicy, but the fries wilted under the oil. As others have experienced, the service is non-existent. It’s not even laid-back or lackadaisical. From the oblivious hostess, with a nearly empty restaurant, placing us right in between two hyper toddlers, to the server, who would just walk on by, with empty beers and water in front of us, and us waving frantically for attention.

Been on many occasions. However, the last three times we went the food just wasn’t as good and the quality of service absolutely was a fail. We have gone at dinner and lunch hours so not sure what the problems are that caused the lack of quality and customer care.

Had an order to go, got home, the burger was burnt plus the bun, suppose to have lettuce and tomatoes– had none! Shameful !

Been here multiple times and enjoy the service and the food every time. The burgers are always great tasting with a nice side of fries. Definitely good portion and reasonably priced. I always hit them up if I’m in a burger mood.

Really yummy veggie burger! Nice, big booths to sit in! I like not feeling crowded when sitting at a table in a restaurant.

Staff was friendly but that was the only saving grace. The food was bland. My burger was over cooked and my girlfriends pasta was flavorless. The sweet tea was too sweet and the unsweet tea tasted like water. The booths were uncomfortable and oddly spaced. I could go on but the point is its not worth the money.

Incredibly delicious sandwhich! I usually just get the grilled ham and pepper jack sandwhich, but I ordered the Ranchero sandwhich instead. Was amazing!!!

Nothing spectacular that separates this place from any other. Burgers are mediocre at best as is service. Burgers are very bland with little to no seasoning. Nothing special about the bun either.

Perfect burger. I got the Comeback burger. It’s basically a bacon cheeseburger, with whatever comeback sauce is, and A-1. The bun is essentially a giant sweet roll. Nom nom nom

Ate here twice. It’s your average hamburger joint. Nothing special. Pretty cool little place to go get a burger. My favorite things are their hamburger buns. I dunno why, they just taste good!

This place has vast selection of unique hamburgers and skill of then are delicious. I walked up to the bar on a packed night and ordered from the bartender and with it packed I received my order in a prompted manner and it was made exactly how I ordered it. I love this pace.

All I heard in the week leading up to our weekend trip to Mugshot’s was how the bread was OMG Ah-mazing! Went with the wife and kids, and the service was fine. The food was just okay. I’ve been to Times, Chimes, Five Guys, and Lee’s in the Covington area, and the actual burger at this place is probably near the bottom. It tasted and looked like the burgers you get in the boxes at the grocery. I quickly realized the reason they put all the crazy ingredients on the burgers is because the burgers would not stand up on their own. The bread they use is a sourdough type, which is fine, but again, draws your attention from the actual burger. If you want a good burger in Covington, go to Lee’s, unless you want okay food and a lot of TVs, even then, Chimes is the better option, plus they have a much bigger beer selection.

So so, they have their specialty. The bread is sour dough I believe. No one was in there between lunch and dinner so service was fine. Big cups for your tea. There’s also a burger challenge if you want to give it a try, if you don’t eat it all you have to pay for the triple burger tho. I do not have the urge to go back.

We sat at a high table, which wasn’t bad. Our server wasn’t the greatest. We had a hard time trying to find our waitress for a refill. She suggested a few things and we got an appetizer and also ordered drinks from the bar. The drinks from the bar took a while to get and the appetizer came out with the meal. Which I didn’t care too much for. I got the pizza burger. And I’m pretty sure I will never get one again, pizza and burgers should never be mixed. The bread they used made me sick. I’m not sure why. It was sour dough I think. But it didn’t go well on the burger. My fiancé got the peanut butter burger and he said it could have had more peanut butter on it. It took about 15 minutes for us to get our check and It honestly didn’t even seem that busy. Also, we waited about 20 minutes to get seated because there was a wait. I’ll have to check this place out again maybe to make sure I’m not missing anything.

My experience at Mugshots can be easily summed up. The food was pretty good, but the service was not. Since I would be laughed off of Unilocal if that was all I wrote, I will expound on my experience. I visited Mugshots one Saturday with my youngest child. As we walked in we were greeted rather coldly by the hostess. I was so taken aback by her reaction that I wondered if my child’s reputation for restaurant behavior had been reported to all of the businesses in the area. It seemed as if my request for a table was so offensive to her that we almost left at that point, but I was determined to try the food. Once at the table our menus were dropped off and we sat. At around the ten minute mark I began to wonder what was going on. Numerous servers had walked past our table averting their eyes from my glance as if to let me know they weren’t helping me. At 15 minutes, I was getting up to leave when a rather frazzled looking server walked up and asked if we had been helped. When we responded that we had not, she said that she would be right back. Another several minutes elapsed and she returned to take our order. From the time I walked in, to the time our order was taken, over 20 minutes had elapsed. Had the restaurant been full that would have been unacceptable, but the restaurant was only half full at this point. Considering how long the wait to order was, the fact that our food arrived in five or so minutes was perplexing, but did help our moods. My burger was their signature 1000 Island Burger. Dressed similarly to a Big Mac, I ordered mine cooked to a medium temperature with a side of fried pickles in lieu of fries. The burger was perfectly cooked, juicy and very flavorful. The thousand island dressing blended well with the flavor of the beef and neither overpowered the other. The pickles were good and a welcome change from plain olé fries. The original server was not who brought out the food, and getting the check at the end of the meal was pretty difficult. I got the feeling that the server who waited on us only did so because no one else was willing to help. Better communication between the host stand and servers would have helped I think. While my food was good, the service issues seriously soured my opinion of this restaurant. If the service issues were solved, this could easily be a four star burger joint.
