Perrine Buick GMC – Sales

WILL NEVER RETURN!
My husband and I visited this dealership today in hopes of leasing a 2015 Acadia Denali. We should have known as soon as we walked in to run out! First, we walk into the dealership and are not greeted by anyone (yet, there were no customers in the dealership). We finally introduce ourselves to a sales consultant, Paul Kirchmyer, who looked at us as if we were from another planet.
As we sit down, my husband and I explain that the vehicle is for me and that we were interested in leasing the vehicle. Even though we explained the vehicle was for me, Paul never once addressed me (narcissist you say!) once! He only addressed my husband and when I would answer a question, he still would not address me.
Then, he asked my husband for his license to write down some basic information. When my husband reached out his hand to take his license back, Paul placed the card on the table and slid it to my husband. How disrespectful is that?! Anyway, we discussed the vehicles available and informed him of the vehicle we wanted to see.
While he went to get the vehicle, several sales consultants were staring at us and giving us the dark eye while we were sitting down waiting for Paul to return. My husband and I are of Hispanic decent and felt extremely uncomfortable. We have leased many vehicles in the past 15 years and have never been treated like this ever before. Racial profiling at it’s best!
My husband and I walked out of the dealer while Paul was getting the vehicle. I later called and spoke to the sales manager, Tom, who was very nonchalant about the whole situation.
Needless to say, we are taking our business elsewhere!

Everything you’re scared of when you deal with a car dealership.
Don’t let the smiles fool you. To their credit, the staff is very nice and very pleasant. But the overall business model is designed to rip you off!
Firstly, if you own a Saab, as this used to be a Saab dealership, DO NOT take your car there. They do not know what they are doing! After a week and several missteps, they charged me $ 1300 for work that didn’t address the issue I brought it in for, didn’t have the expertise to diagnose the problem properly, and then charged me $ 160 for use of their courtesy car during all of the snow storms that took place this past winter.
I am even more incensed as I had to take my car to a different mechanic who was familiar enough with Saabs that she knew exactly what was wrong with my car just from me describing my issues over the phone! They do not care about the customer. When I wrote of my concerns to the service manager during this process, I was met with… yes, you guessed it… no response. Why… because they already had my money!
The irony is that the day that I dropped my car off, we test drove two vehicles as we are in the market to buy a new car. The deal was pretty much sealed as we figured we’d buy our new car from them. Now, not a chance in the world. Not only will I be happy to purchase from their competitor, but I will gladly tell everyone I know to stay away from them.
If you want to know the essence of why I think it’s a rip off. Perrince Buick GMC finds it appropriate to charge me $ 75 to change the bulb on my fog light. A job that I have done myself that literally takes 2 minutes… if that. The bulb cost $ 9 in an Autozone. So, you do the math. $ 1300, you don’t fix the real problem, then you can charge me $ 75 in good conscience for a simple job like that. If that is the way they do math, think about all of the basic work that they do that you are being charged a 300% mark up on.
Do yourself a favor and learn from me. Take your car somewhere else where you can be sure that not only is your car fixed right, but you won’t get overcharged, and can be certain that the work listed was actually done.

I really appreciate the way the body shop was able to commence ordering parts for my car with only a phone call. They promptly emailed me the appropriate release forms which I returned electronically without the need to drive in. The work was performed on time and with high quality.
