All products are sold in Stella Marie’s flagship cyber store and through various distribution channels including festivals and events, wholesale, custom orders and private label.

History

Established in 2007.

Stella Marie Soap Company was founded out of a desire to merge artistic expression with a passion for the bath. Drawing on inspiration from punk rock, pop culture, baseball and feminism, Kim Gonzaga created a line of fun but highly beneficial bath and body products made with natural ingredients. She named the company after her two grandmothers, who have had a profound influence on her.

In 2010, Stella Marie Soap Company received a Best of Rhode Island Award from Rhode Island Monthly Magazine, as well as a Best of Providence Award the same year from The Providence Phoenix.

I haven’t been to the store, but I have been using the soap for at least two years and it’s great! My skin is less dry than when using the commercial bar soaps. Highly recommend.

i’m a fan! i’ve used the soap for several years now but recently was given the body butter as a gift and WOW! my hands take a beating working with flowers and this stuff is awesome! run, don’t walk to their shop! well, i live a bit far away so i use the online shipping… but go ahead and order yourself some pronto! thanks Stella Marie!

I wandered into Stella Marie after buying yarn at Bella Yarns. This shop is adorable and her products are fabulous! A must for gifts and those little extras you need through the year. Downtown Warren has come a long way, and is an adorable little afternoon of shopping. Go!

This store opened a few months ago in Warren and I really like it. I’ve been a few times and they keep adding new handcrafted products. The soaps smell fabulous and when lather up, they have a luxurious feel to them. They leave your skin nice and soft. This time I also picked up a bath bomb, which I can’t wait to try.

I went to Stella Marie’s flagship store on Main Street in Warren today, and I was so impressed with what owner Kim has done in the three short weeks she has been open. She is at a great location, and between the light from the big front windows and the way that Kim has set up her shop, it is cozy beyond belief. I am sensitive to fragrances, which is why I gravitate toward Kim’s handmade soap, and the scent in her store is just present enough to make you want to buy every thing there.
The walls are painted a beautiful 50s sea foam, and with the old fashioned tub and the vintage General Electric steel refrigerator door on the wall, it gave such a funky feel to the kitchen and bath goods she has on display. Handmade pillows, coosies, pot holders, ceramics, and of course, SOAPS!
I was there to put some of my crafted goods on consignment, and I bought two giant bath bombs for girlfriends I was meeting later. They were scented in Cool Cucumber and Tangerine, and both smelled amazing and sent my friends over the moon.
I have been a fan of Stella Marie since I moved to Rhode Island more than 4 years ago. I am so happy to have an actual storefront to go to now!

I love Stella Marie sugar and salt scrubs. The make great gifts and I don’t need to worry about offending my vegan friends as these products are completely vegan!
The chocolate marshmallow smells heavenly without being too sweet or «fake smelling». I recently gave the lavender and eucalyptus, tangerine and lime, and sweet mango as gifts along with a sampling of soaps. They raved not only about how lovely the products smelled but how soft their skin was after using it.
They are my go-​to for yummy smelly and highly effective locally made bath goodies!

Love, love, love Stella Marie’s body scrub! I recently came across her line at the Indie Farmer’s Market and picked up a batch of basil and mint scrub, which smelled out of this world! They are free of harsh chemicals, and SLS too. She has lots of different flavors and products, and I’d absolutely recommend checking this line out!

I came across these products at the SoWa Boston Market. All of these soaps are pretty, smell wonderful, and work well, too. I bought mine to give as gifts and the recipients were all delighted. I am happy that these products don’t include scary chemicals and they are cruelty free. I am now a customer for life.

I came across Stella Marie Soap at a farmer’s market in Providence. I bought the pumpkin soap on a whim simply because I love pumpkin. I have since bought several products from Stella Marie and have liked all of them. I really like the soap in the pumpkin and cranberry flavors. The body scrub in mango is great — smells good, gives your skin a good ‘polish’, leaves your skin feeling smooth. Highly recommend. Also, I’m very picky about soap/​body products (sensitive skin) and I haven’t had any problems with Stella Marie’s products.

I came across Stella Marie Soap at the recent Cabin Fever Indie Market (SoWa) — it was like heaven! I limited myself to buying only four bars (Strawberries and Champagne, Here Comes Your Soap, and two others whose names I forget– one is coffee and has coffee beans on top and the other is Rosemary something.) The scents are HEAVENLY. I have sensitive skin, so sometimes I have to worry about different soaps, etc– but these are very gentle and again, they smell great! I haven’t had a chance to use all of them yet, and I can’t wait!

i am very fussy about soap so when i say i love stella marie soap, believe me, it rocks. the soaps are made of quality products which shows in the shower with fine scents and luscious lather that actually softens your skin. i love ‘de la soap’ but my all time fave is ‘ocean state’ which has an amazing geranium scent and french clay. i can’t say enough about it. if you haven’t tried this soap, your skin and senses are missing out. oh, i am also now addicted to the choco-​rotic lip balm, it’s appropriately named ;)
