Another expired item just bought last week didn’t realize before my kids already ate it. If they get sick… Stop and shop seedless red raspberry jam expired 01/10/2015. Over a year ago. Are you kidding me. I am not shopping here anymore. Not worth it to keep purchasing things that are expired.

Came here on my way back to providence from south county. My list is fairly straight forward: chicken sausage, lean ground beef, asparagus, grapes, Chobani, Polar seltzer. The store was empty on a Sunday evening but he shelves were all stocked. Being fully stocked I was shocked to see that three of my items I needed had very limited selection. There were only two flavors of chicken sausage, some of the original Polar flavors, and a couple Chobani flavors. I bought my some items and had to swing by another store to get what I needed. The customer service was pretty horrendous here at the checkout. There were no baggers and the cashier was throwing my items down the belt while I attempted to bag them in some type of order. Once she rang me out she left without even bothering to offer to help bag everything else.

Being the clearance shopper extraordinaire that I am, I always looking for a good deal on day old baked goods. A $ 16 cake for $ 8? Yes please. This Stop & Shop usually has a great selection on reduced bakery items and I can appreciate that.

Bakery: I got my son’s birthday cake here. Not only was it beautifully decorated, but it was very fresh, moist and delicious!

Scores 1 – 5: Cleanliness: 1 This store is FILTHY. Not much else to say. Helpfulness: 1 /Stock 1 I feel their stock is VERY limited, since this is the closest store to me I suggested they stock a few things that I regularly get, I was met with a resounding – NO! Not even, no… I’m sorry, we can’t. Just… NO! Working self-checkers: 2(They have two that work? I think??) The same 2 self-checkers have been broken for the last 3 months(I’ve only lived in this area for 3 months). Friendliness: 1 1. I can’t find something… I ask where it is in case I am looking in the wrong aisle. Employee 1:“We must be out of stock“ Me: «Can you check» Employee 1: «*Screams to someone* What aisle is the X in?» Employee 2: «*someone screams back* Aisle x» Employee 1: «Yup, right aisle, must be out *goes back to talking about her pregnant friend*» Me: «…» 2. I walk up to the check-out. There is a chicken, leaking, that smells DISGUSTING. It has probably been sitting there all day. I let someone know. They sigh, get annoyed, grab a bag, and are very huffy. Is customer service too much to ask? Sorry, my bad. I’ll go somewhere else. Despite the fact that this Stop and Shop is about 5 minutes away, I’ll drive 20minutes to go to a good one.
