Great Great Great I Live In RI And Visited This Place Got Some Vinyl From Here Last Night The Guy That Was Ringing Me Out Was Very Friendly I Will Be Coming Back To This Place More Often. I Will Be Going Back There Today HaHaHa.

We have going to Time Capsule for years, the guys that run this place are extremely professional and eager to assist customers in any way required. My sons are big you collectors, the staff accommodates them every time they come in by offering to check downstairs for new arrivals. Also, they offer a wide selection of smaller publishers and titles, such as «God is Dead» and «Goon».

What a great little hole in the wall to spend some time and find something interesting. Lots and LOTS of golden age comic books at very fair prices. And 50% off. Friendly, fair, honest staff and lots of comics, toys, games and albums to look through. I went there with my daughter and we were pleasantly surprised by everything about this little Cranston gem. We left with two 1970s Era Wonder Woman comics and a big smile for about $ 10. Check it out.

Update — I drove 45 minutes out of my way last month to visit here when I was in RI and was very disappointed at how it seems to have changed in the last couple of years. Whereas previously the store was filled with reasonably priced toys and action figures from the last couple of decades, there was very little of that to be found. Now it’s filled with current action figures/​POP! figures etc that you can find in any toy store. I was in and out of there in 5 minutes. Pity.

The time capsule is where I get all of my new Star Wars comics… Love having a store in the area that gets weekly shipments!

What a hidden gem this is to me! I’ve always enjoyed collecting vinyl & searching out hard to find movies. I was lucky enough to have a friend introduce me a couple of years ago. I always manage to find something I want at a good price & never walk out empty handed!
The owner is also very fair in his buying practices! Recently inherited a crate FULL of records that didn’t really interest me & without much hesitation he offered me a great price!

What an awesome store! My sons and I could have spent hours here. One of the workers showed me around the vinyl and turned me onto a few new bands. Great selection of comics, music, movies, video games and a lot more. Bring some plastic or cash when visiting here cause you will walk away with a big olé smile on your face!

I visit weekly and Rob is constantly getting new stock, you could visit daily and find something new! Everything is priced to sell and restock. An exceptional RI business ICON.

This is my favorite store to go to in the entire state of Rhode Island. vinyl albums, Nintendo videogames, rows and rows of amazing comic books, and of course the wonderful staff. Robert Yeremian is one of the most knowledgeable people I’ve ever spoken to about collectibles and really cool fun toys like what they sell here. We live in California, but have family in Rhode Island so get out there at least once a year. I look forward to my journey every year to the Time Capsule.

Time Capsule Comics is a cornucopia of geek culture fun.
When it comes to comics they cater to the reader, with a stellar collection of graphic novels/​trade paperbacks (whatever you prefer to call them) and even discounts on them… The back issue bins for the collector, are always well stocked with a nice range of back issues all at ½ guide (even silver and bronze age books). His higher end stock has always been great, with at least one new assortment of nice silver and/​or golden age books being put on the wall every week.

For the record collector he has bins and bins of music from every genre imaginable and video game enthusiasts will surely find a game or 2 in the video game section.
The customer service has always been top notch from where I’m standing and how I’ve seen them treat others. Always a friendly greeting from Bob and his staff members. The hours spent in there talking about comics, artists, and storylines have even gotten this Silver Age to 80s collector and reader, to read some newer titles.
I’ve been buying comics and toys from Bob since his old store in Warwick, and from him at conventions before that… and will continue to do so. I may visit other comic shops from time to time, but neither myself or my girlfriend (who also collects comics and toys) have never been treated as fairly by a shop when it comes to purchases, large or small.

Very happy I found this place. Ended up finding almost 30 back issues across 6 different series that I wanted. I would without a doubt return in hopes that the stock of comics flips often and I can continue to find more comics needed for my collection. I would recommend this store to just about anyone. Very neat. The guy working the register was cool and knew what he was doing. Very helpful.

An ok comic shop with a geek elitist attitude. I guess that’s what most people want from a comic shop. They’re more than comics. They have records and other collectables.

While I’m not a comic book person, I am a vinyl records person and this place has not only an awesome and unique collection, but their prices can’t be beat. My fiancé and I were shocked at the low prices and every time we go in we walk out with about 10 – 15 records.

I like to go here at least once a week.
I go for the old school games. This place has a way better selection than the toy vault. I always see new games that I have been trying to collect. Some people here are saying that the customer service is terrible. Do they walk up to you and say «hey can i help you find anything?» no, but you dont need someone to be in your face like that. I love how they let you look without bugging you. Most of the people who go in there are looking for something specific and know where it is.

Brightly lit, well-​stocked, and easily accessible. A great stop for the comics fan, as well as anyone interested in memorabilia and vintage records and games.
My fiancé and I stopped here to get acquainted and hopefully find a Birds of Prey trade paperback that was eluding us. The man behind the checkout (I’m pretty sure it was the owner) gladly offered to check for the book in their sister store in Seekonk, and when he came up with nothing he checked with the publisher and reported that the book was out of print. Very very helpful!
They also have a pretty good discount, I believe it was 15% off a purchase of 3 or more paperbacks. Old single issues are 50% off!

Create selections and love having the records and video games as well. To be fair I’m only a book girl due to Joss Whedon and Buffy (I know– super limited) but I’m cool with that. Well organized, which I appreciate. And I’ve never had an issue with service, always helped when I needed it, including some pop items I was able to sell to them. My only complaint, really no independent comic book store in Providence proper? (No I’m not counting Newbury Comics– love it, but that’s a different matter). Come on Providence!

This is a great comic book store (and it has music, movies, and games in a side section for people who are interested). Probably about 20,000 back issues in long white boxes, six tall shelves of graphic novels (with some discounts if you buy many), and knowledgeable staff, who don’t bother you but will answer questions if you ask them (no, I don’t like people randomly coming up to me and saying «Can I help you find something?” – I find that kind of behavior obnoxious).

The Time Capsule is everything you expect from a good comic shop. It’s dark and kind of cluttered with a slightly stale smell. The rows are packed with bins of back issues while the newer comics are displayed on the outer walls. There are toys, collectables, LPs and old school video games. Got a hankering to save Sandy from the evil mad scientist? They’ve probably got a copy of Maniac Mansion lying around.
The prices here are pretty great, I can go in with my «allowance» and have plenty of material for a perfect nerd night. The employees are super knowledgable and friendly, but give you space so you look around at your leisure. The space is pretty small so it can get a little cramped early Wednesday afternoons when the new releases are out.
Out of all the other shops in the area, this is definitely the place to go!

Like most comic shops, this place suffers from the sin of elitism. The HILARIOUS thing is, the staff is so clueless about what they sell (from comics to vinyl) their elitist, «you don’t really belong here attitude» comes off as ridiculously pathetic. Having been a comic book enthusiast all my life, and even having managed a comic shop for years, I know what the «crowd» is like. I can accept it… and usually that initial reception and «cold, I’m cooler than thou» attitude towards a new customer dissipates… NOT HERE! The only one WORTH chatting it up with is Rob, who does know the ropes and what he is talking about and doing… even if he is a little on the cheapskate, screw you over for a quarter side. If you’ve been into comics for years in the state of RI the best way I can describe it to you is: Rob is now the NEW Wayne, but Rob actually has a passion for comic books.
Some others here have complained of damaged and poorly kept merchandise– I have noticed this as well too.
The staff is clueless, unhelpful and actually WORST of all, UNWILLING TO HELP. They’ll avoid ALL eye contact with you by any means necessary so you can’t grab their attention unless you walk up to them with a huge stack of stuff to buy in your hand– or a baseball bat. I suggest the bat.
I can’t complain about the prices really except for the rare stuff which is way overpriced with both comics and vinyl… oh and what he offers to pay or trade if he’s interested in something you have.
The TPB/​Graphic novel section is laid out poorly and confusing.
I don’t go on a regular basis anymore, and only when I am looking for something specific. It’s been 50 – 50 so far whether they have it or not.
Seriously, I switched my subscription list over to Newbury Comics and have yet to miss a book, and have even gotten a VARIANT here or there for COVER PRICE. The discount you get at Newbury is also much better. I believe Rob started offering a discount for the subscription books you pick up… but for nothing else.
I WANT to LOVE this place, but I can’t. I miss ATOMIC!
