AVOID THIS PLACE! Sexist, lying scum bag. Had my car for 3 months for a one week repair. I was without a car for THREE MONTHS because Phil was «ordering parts» that «weren’t in yet». I would stop by 3 times a week after he had my car for over a month and my car never left the spot in his yard. I even offered to go to the supply house about 45 minutes away to speed up the process but there was always an excuse. He’s a lazy, rude man who will try to pull one over on you. My car broke down on my way home after picking up and paying and gave me a hard time and asked «what did you do» like it was my fault that it broke down 10 minutes after leaving his shop. He refused to fix it until I threatened a lawyer on him and said he put a new transmission in when someone later told me that the transmission under my hood has never been moved and all he did was put $ 56 oil in there and $ 2,000 labor… This place needs to be put to a stop

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! I dropped my car off here on March 3^rd. My car was broken and I needed a new transmission. I got a few local quotes and this place was literally $ 1000 cheaper and I thought it was too good to be true. After pestering them 2 weeks later, they were still «waiting on parts» … I patiently waited. My car was given back to me on May 12^th. 2 MONTHS AFTER!!! On my way home from the auto shop, I broke down on i80. I called Phil’s and he offered to pay the tow and check out my car again. Now it was the fuel pump. I should have had it towed somewhere else and sued him for fraud. I had an auto friend come to his shop and look at my car after hours since my car sat in the yard and did not move. He never replaced my transmission. My invoice said parts and nothing about a transmission. Finally, on June 22– my car is back in my hands. I had to show him paperwork for me reporting him to the better business bureau and show up with the Joliet police in order for him to get moving on my car.
This place looks like a junk yard. There are at least 20 cars in his lot. That should have been a red flag from the start. DO NOT EVER GO HERE. Luckily I did have an extra car to use but imagine if I did not… 15 weeks of a rental car would have been expensive. I have successfully filed a claim with the BBB for this place.
