Calvert’s Express Auto Service & Tire

Awful. Do not take your car here. We are new to the area and used them for a simple state inspection. My husband is a mechanic and fully aware of the condition of our vehicle. He was called and told the car needed rear brakes to pass inspection. Quoted $ 280 and my husband knew parts were only $ 90. Due to time constraints he agreed to allow them to replace the brakes. Afterwards, he noted they pulled off the front tire for inspection. On Mo state inspection it is required to only pull one tire so how did they discover the rear «needed» brakes? He then noted there was an additional form competed at the shop stating «customer requests brake check». Then they noted «hard brake pedal on test drive». We did NOT request this nor give them permission to test drive our car. In all the years of owning cars we have never experienced such a thing. Do NOT take your car here. We will take the hour drive to where we used to go. He called them after discovering this to find a resolution. The guy talked in circles and offered no solution.

This Calvert’s here is run by respectable management and they are trustworthy. They don’t pad the bill and they don’t Trump up extra charges.

Had a tail light out. Simple repair. They were out if the bulb but called and got one in about 10 minutes.
Very nice people.

There is nothing express about this place at all. Made an appointment for a simple oil change, showed up 10 minutes before appointment time, then waited for over 30 minutes before they even went to get the car. It took another 40 minutes to complete a simple oil change, and they did NOTHING else, no fluid top, no tire pressure check, nothing. Dont know why it took so long to do one thing.
Then they dont even pull the car out of the bay, you are just supposed to know to go get it and pull it out yourself.
Very unprofessional, there are many other places in the area that will provide much better service.
