Great place for an ice cream, and milkshake It’s right next to the park so it’s a good place to take a break if you need one.

Awesome down home great place to go. The food is made to order and comes out fresh n hot. Don’t forget their awesome desert menu. If you drive by you have to stop in and try it out.

This is a very small local Ice Cream place. It seems like its been around forever and people love it. The menu is pretty vast. They usually have one or two employees and food is made to order. So it might take a while to prepare — but never too long. My favorite order is a chocolate malt with extra malt and a cheeseburger. They have an old trolley outside that you can sit in to eat. It’s nothing fancy, but something special. Maybe it’s the down home country feel that people love. Well, the malts are pretty awesome too.

The Whippy Dip offers a perfect way to end a drive through the country… or kick off a vacation. The Bluegrass is wonderful to drive through anytime and a long drive through the Northern Kentucky region is a perfect way to spend time and the perfect way to end the drive is at the Whippy-Dip located about 45 minutes south of Cincinnati. They’ve got the usual suspects of sundaes and shakes, but they amp up the pleasure and ditch the little town ice cream shop menu with their amazing variety of soft-serve flavors. I didn’t count but looked to be about 25 to choose from all listed on laminated menus with a drawing of each color coded. Fun. I always get the small(I’m 6′ and 240lbs) because the small are large and the large are too large. I’m not sure what they put into it but it doesn’t taste like FLAVORADDITIVE, but like goodness. Go there… and why is it good to kick off a vacation. Because there’s no beter way to kinda shut up the kids and put yourself into a vacation mode as your head to Florida than to pull over just after you leave/get through Cincy at the Whippy-Dip. We do. It kick starts that vacation… and you can stop again on your way back.
