This place has everything on the buffets. Including calamari and steamed shrimp. For under $ 10 with a drink included it really can’t be beat.

Was a great dinner. Clean. Major selection. If you’re contemplating Chinese I don’t guess you can find anything better just do it.

Back in my teenager days I would take a date to a buffet, because if I am paying you are going to find something you can eat. I started forming an opinion on buffets but now that I am older I am glad their are places like Osaka to show me that buffets have come a long way. I went into this place with the preconceived idea of what I thought a buffet was going to be like. I was expecting a trough of food that has been sitting for a minute with food on the floor and cross contamination of foods by people constantly using the same serving utensils. I was proven wrong and that is hard for me to admit. The place was very spacious and clean. Evidently the tables are made for those who frequent a buffet because where I sat and where the edge of the table was had to be a gap of two feet. OK Osaka I accept your challenge to eat enough to fill that gap. The food was always fresh and full of flavor. You know how it is when you find something you like and then go back to find the tray empty. Then there are people hovering over that one station waiting for it. Not the case here. The servers and cooks were always coming out to monitor if food was getting low. I saw a few items that I rarely see at a buffet. Most surprising was the tastiness and freshness of the sushi. I took samples of more than a few items. All were on point and I wish I had saved room for the Mongolian bbq station that is located near the sushi bar. Many people knock buffets but there is no doubt in my mind that you will find something you will like here. There is a sampling of food for every palette and many different varieties of food to choose from.

Well, how do I say this nicely? Some of the food looked good, but looks can be deceiving.

I am so glad that this isn’t an establishment with 40 «don’t do this» signs hanging everywhere. You pay when you arrive not at the end of your meal. For the lunch buffet price, there are so many options that you will surely find something to satisfy you. There is an hibachi and sushi option in the rear of the restaurant for no additional charge but tipping is encouraged. There are hot bars that have chicken, fish and beef options for anyone with food restrictions. Soups, salad and desserts are available with the price of your meal. The bathrooms were clean and the hostess seating us was attentive and worked hard to maintain cleanliness of the dining areas. Everything that I sampled was delicious. A few items could have been warmer(Calamari, chicken, fried rice). As with all buffets, it should be all you care to eat and not the mentality that you’re gonna have to be rolled away because you’ve over indulged. I will return to try some of the other food options. Lunch time wasn’t too crowded and the servers kept the hot bar and other areas well stocked. This establishment graciously offers a military discount but ask for it instead of waiting on it to be offered.

This place is really good. Very clean. Staff is very friendly. Great selection of everything for the whole family. Will be going back. The only thing I didn’t like was our waitress stood to close to our table. Just waiting on us to finish a plate. It was great because I was never out of drink but uncomfortable.

I’ve been here a few times… food is ok… steak is too chewey, last time I ate the sushi I got sick so I generally stay away from it. They do offer some decent choices but I tend to eat the same thing every time I’ve gone there. The employees doesn’t say much. I brought a friend of mine with me and she is Panamanian and the Asian woman kept speaking to her in spanish when my friend clearly spoke English and responded in English… that pissed us both off. That was extremely rude and stereotypical. Price is okay… but could be better considering the lack of varieties in food. Not my go to… i’d rather travel to Hanover for a buffett.

The best buffet! I always want to come here constantly, I always leave full and satisfied. I enjoy the chicken and broccoli, fried rice and general tso chicken, and the other varieties of Chinese food. The calamari is a must as well. Great service as well, there is always a server not too far away from your table to clean and get refills.

Osaka is one of the better chinese buffets in the area. The food is a bit better then the Teppanaki /Habachi grills that have infested Maryland. They have lobster claws on Sundays — get them when the come out as they are gone pretty quick. The sushi bar is better than average, many people were feasting on the freshly made rolls.

This place is just okay. Tacky décor, decent food. Typical Chinese food buffet. Some of the food was actually pretty good(crawfish, some of the sushi, and their hibachi rice) but most of it sucked, especially their lo mein, crabs and egg rolls. Service was pretty good and they do have a wide selection of deserts which were pretty good. It’s cheap to eat there for lunch so I’d probably go back but just for lunch time as the dinner prices are not worth the quality of food you are getting.

On Sunday, June 62015 at approximately 4pm, my wife and I went out to dinner at the Osaka Buffet in Crofton. My wife has a standard poodle mobility assistance dog, DJ who accompanied my wife. When entering the establishment, we paid for the buffet and where seated at a table in a corner next to what appears to be a door to the restaurant office. After speaking to the waitress about our drink order we went up to get food from the buffet section with DJ. I assisted my wife getting her food and we walked back to the table, I placed her food on the table and then went back up to get food for myself. When I returned to the table the restaurant manager was at the table speaking to my wife. He told her that other customers complained about the dog being in the food area and that we should not take the dog up to the food area. The dog was well behaved, did not sniff at the food or make a scene. The manager left and went back to the front. I got an ADA law card from my wife and went up to the counter to speak to the manager. I attempted to explain to them that the dog was the same as any other assistive device such as a cane or walker. He did not seem to understand what I was saying. Another employee started speaking to me. He said they had complaints from other customers who he said would leave and ask for a refund if the dog was allowed in the food area. I again explained that according to the ADA they are not allowed to exclude the dog from accompanying her. His excuse for discriminating against my wife was he would lose business if he allowed the dog to be in the buffet area.

Excellent buffet place in the greater Annapolis area. They have a huge selection of seafood during my visit. That is what makes this place a standout compared to other buffets at similar price points in area. They had things like lobster, blue crabs, crawfish and salt and spicy shrimp. For those not into seafood, also a good hibachi and sushi selection. There was so much variety. Service and quality of food is as expected at these type of establishments. I did enjoy this buffet and I would rate it higher than Sarku in College Park. I went during dinner… and so I believe the selection of food is better too than a lunch. Give it a try!

I really wanted to love this place I really did. The décor is much nicer than you typical Chinese buffet now I did not try any of their meat products but I tried their shrimp mussels and the oysters. I was impressed with the shrimp I mean it was okay but I had better shrimp from a buffet .They had a wide variety of desserts from ice cream, sherbet to cakes and fruits. Overall it was a nice experience oh except for the waitress I mean she was terrible she pretty much ignored most of the time. Good help is so hard to find*sighs*.I will come back if I am in the area but by no means am I running to get to this place.

First off, as soon as you walk in Osaka Grill the décor is amazing. I was greeted right away ! Each booth has it’s own privacy. I went during lunch break so I didn’t feel awkward to eat by myself because each booth is kinda blocked off . Wide selection of food … I was impressed that nothing was running low. The food was constantly being refilled with more hot fresh food. I wasn’t a fan of the stuffed mushrooms. They were hard and stuffed with just cheese… nothing else . The waitresses were on point and attentive ! I will definitely be returning and bringing more people. If lunch was great I can only imagine how dinner will be ! You can’t beat the price for a wide selection of Chinese and American foods, hibachi, fresh sushi, a nice variety of desserts and handscooped icecream !

I must say, I would recommend., Price is right, food is cheap. I must say sushi is hit and miss. to get«best» selection, be there early in the evening!!! they seems to «close down» sushi bar too early. Service can be hit and miss. But it is buffet and the food is pretty good. We have been there many times, if you have not tried it, I highly recommend it. Why it is NOT5, as star says, «Yay I’m fan.» NOTHING more. it is highly recommend this place to anyone who want to dinning out.

My husband and I travel from DC to this buffet at least 2 or three times a month just for the crawfish. It is SERIOUSLY the MOSTDELICIOUS/AMAZING crawfish in the DMV! You know your plate is piled high when fat people give a look of surprise! Lol No shame in our game, though. The flavor alone won’t permit it. Their soups and stir frys are flavorless, and their dumplings suck. The fried calamari is great, as well as the fried and coconut shrimp. The ham is tender. The roast beef is tough, but flavorful. And their fruit is always sweet. Surprisingly, the cherries as well. The sesame balls are great too. Sushi sucks. The color of the fried chicken makes you think twice… the yellow color is uninviting, especially when you know it’s not mustard. Chicken and broccoli is ok. Cakes are bleh. Icecream is very hard. The customer service is awesome. And you can tell the latino staff are teaching the waitresses spanish to get them bigger tips, but I’m not so sure that the waitresses understand what they are saying, which could be dangerous when talking to a man with a jealous woman beside him. Lol Make sure to tip big because the waitresses bust their asses to give impeccable service and for heaven’s sake, TRYTHECRAWFISH!

Today was my first time here. I came for lunch to see what it was all about after reading the reviews on here. The buffet is huge. This was the lunch buffet, and I assume the dinner buffet is even larger, since one steam table wasn’t being used. Lots of choices of different Chinese and American dishes — from chicken and broccoli to coconut shrimp to fried chicken. LOTS of fruit and salads to choose from too. I give this portion of the restaurant an A-, or 4⁄5 stars. The food had a good flavor, but I’ve definitely had better elsewhere. The sushi is about grocery store quality. Not great, but not bad. It’s more of an after thought to the whole buffet concept. B– or 3⁄5 The hibachi section was a mixed bag. Genghis Grill or similar places are much better. There is a wide variety of things to put in your bowl, but when you get to the end of the line, there are only 3 sauces — garlic, spicy oil, and soy. There goes the creativity! Also, the kid doing the cooking overcooked mine so my beef ended up being beef-flavored shoe leather. C– or 2.5÷5 Overall, if you’re looking for a lot of bang for your buck($ 7.49 for lunch and kids under 3 eat free) then this is a good choice. They do a lot of different food, but none of it particularly«well». If you want quality Chinese, go to Hunan L’Rose in Odenton Shopping Center, and if you want quality sushi, go to Hanna in Piney Orchard. If you just want a crap-ton of food for little money, then you could do a lot worse than Osaka. Final review: Overall Grade: B– or 3.25÷5

Okay, sure this buffet is a little like a Ross Dress for Less — you have to soft through some dishes that are your run of the mill junky filler in order to find the real gems. For me, the gems are valuable enough to make the price completely worth it. BESTOF: CRAWFISH!!! I’m a little nervous to let people know about this, because I don’t want too much competition for these. But ohmygosh these bad boys are ridiculous. I saw a lady with a huge pile of eaten crawfish on her plate, so I asked her i they were good and how you’re supposed to eat them. She told me how great they are, showed me the way to bust em open, and now I’m that lady with a heap of eaten crawfish on my plate. You MUST suck the broth out of the torso/head. And I have zero idea of what they’ve seasoned these with. I can see onion and jalapeño slices, but the broth is cray cray(fish). I feel transported to a locals-only restaurant in New Orleans. Only available at dinner. BBQCHICKEN: Moist, tender, perfect flavor. And good cuts of chicken, not that weird gelatinous stuff that gets fried up in most Chinese places. HIBACHIGRILL: You pick the ingredients, and they’ll grill it up for you! There are rice noodles, chow mein noodles, white rice, eggs, an assortment of veggies and meat. These include something labeled«Vietnam chicken,» two kinds of red meat, shrimp, and imitation crab meat. I get mine with 2 eggs, rice noodles, zucchini, onion, shrimp and crab + a heaping spoonful of the«garlic sauce» they have up on the counter where you hand the cook your plate. Oh yeah. FRIEDPLANTAINS: These are the only plantains I’ve really liked. Other places make them too greasy or something. These are perfect, in my opinion. Warm and sweet. Mmmm. STUFFEDMUSHROOMS: What’s in there? I dunno. Cheese and ??? But they are really, really tasty. MEATBALLS: Again, not sure what’s in these, but can I just enjoy that they taste a little like chicken and bacon and garlic and heaven? WHOLESHRIMP: Shell on, whole shrimp on ice. I don’t mind peeling them, because I like shrimp that much. But they’re a good size, and you can dip them in cocktail sauce.
