History

Established in 1986.

The Croton Sailing School was founded by Steven and Katherine Jennings to serve the New York metropolitan area with sailing on the Hudson River. Our spectacular scenic Hudson River location on Haverstraw Bay provides hours of carefree sailing.

The Croton Sailing Club was created to allow our students to take our fleet of ’24 Rainbows and ’26 Pearsons on their own.

The EAST sailing Academy provides youths 9 — 15 years old a safe and fun sailing experience in our summer camp.

I can’t say enough good things about the teaching, the staff, and the sailing here. I took the 3-​day adult lesson package, then joined the club, which entitles you to reserve boats and take them out yourself. All members of the staff have been totally friendly, patient with rookie errors, and are always willing to offer tips and guidance. And sailing on Haverstraw Bay is great. Signing up here has been the best decision I’ve made all summer.
