The UPS Store

I have given these people at least 6 or 7 chances to stop being so nasty and unprofessional. One time a older man was human to me; all other times the service was dreadful. They left half my bank account statements after copying them with the statement number on a back table open to the public, and if I had not noticed I would have left the store without them. The people who run and work at this place seem to hate every customer that walks in the door, and they let you know it.
I can’t recall the prices, but it seems more expensive than other UPS store, or maybe the nasty experiences I have had with them just make them seem more expensive.
I kept thinking «maybe they are having a bad day.» so I just kept letting it slide, but no more.
A local business cannot afford to be this mean the people who keep them in business.
Not going back, ever.

What a pleasure to have this UPS store in Croton. I’ve used them for many years. The staff is lovely and competent. They have packed fragile antiques for me with complete success. They are always polite and helpful. Thank you for putting up with the general public, folks.

Excellent service from these guys. Went in a week or so before Christmas and need to send multiple presents to approx 12 people. I had planned on packing the stuff in the store myself before sending them. One of the guys told me to just send the list of addresses to him via email and he packed all the packages up. Excellent stuff. Yes, they do close at 6 instead of 7, but once you know this, you never make the same mistake!

I recently had to ship a package last minute and When I arrived, I asked the young man how do I ship my package to its destination and get insurance. He went to the back to ask his manager, the manager returned claiming that he can’t ship my package, because the items are too expensive. I then said that’s why I want to get the insurance and he stated, «YOUR WAISTING MY TIME, JUST TAKE YOUR STOLEN JEWELRY OUT OF MY STORE YOU BLACK NIGGER!!!»
I’m still shocked while typing this even though it happened 2weeks ago.
He refused to give me his name, (but he looks like Richard Simmons), and when the Asian lady that was waiting behind me told him he was being rude, he told her to get her air rifle and get out of his store too.
THIS IS NOT A FALSE STATEMENT! I promise you this is true. He is very racist! Stay far away from this business.

Nothing like having to send a package overnight — checking the hours on line at
which clearly states:
HOURS OF OPERATION
Monday — Friday9:00 am — 7:00 pm
Took the 5:13 train from Grand Central to get home and to the store in PLENTY of time to ship the package, only to find you REALLY close at 6pm!
NOT good business!!!
I am sure you know the problems you caused — that is why a business like yours exists. Not good. This could have been avoided if you updated your web site or answered your phone (the listed 914.271.0103 number).

Woman behind the counter was very cranky. No hello good buy nothing! I put the package on the scale and got a sticker I asked if that was the receipt. I got a «mmmmmhhhhmmmm.» Was not really happy about the customer service.

Convenient, clean and efficient

I recently had to ship some oddly shaped things to my Dad out on the West Coast. I was having trouble boxing it and when I went to the post office they were no help. I decided to try to the UPS store. The guys in there were so helpful. They made sure the stuff was packed correctly and would not break. They also gave me all the options so I could compare prices and delivery dates. I’m happy to say all items arrived to my Dad on time and safe and sound.
I will definitely use UPS over the post office when shipping packages from now on.
