At Your Bark-N-Call

I have taken my Shelby to Bark N Call for two years. She is always excited to go. I like the fact that they watch the dogs in their open top suite ²⁴⁄₇. It is always extremely clean and I know that she is well taken care of. I board at least once a month. No problems ever. Thanks Mylissa and staff!

Please take note of the review I left below on 8/3/15…I am even further offended by the response of the owner calling me «vindictive» and questioning what «loyalty» means to me, so I would like to suggest that you simply read the other reviews (not just mine) detailing some other customers similar concerns and you can make a wise decision about where you will spend your money. Mylissa, if you call sharing your own customer service experiences that are negative «vindictive» then I’m sorry but that is not the definition of vindictive. I’m sorry you would rather not have me share your businesses weaknesses, but that’s what customers do when they have a bad experience repeatedly. «Loyalty» as you asked means to me that years ago when I found your business you were exclusively where I took my dog, I brought over a dozen other people there with their animals, so to clarify that’s what I call loyalty. I am not upset that it’s so difficult to get my dog in there, I am upset at the way the phone call was handled and this is not the first time (as you know because we have spoken on two separate previous occasions about issues at your business). Your employee was not at all concerned about helping me find an appointment that worked for me she just wanted me to know how big you were growing and how busy you were. I would remind you your growth is in large part due to those of us who have been there for so long. I would recommend putting a little more into customer service to uphold your growth.

BNC has groomed our Golden Retriever, Jaxon, for years. Stephanie does a fabulous job with him! We also have boarded him on a couple of occasions– while he is VERY tired when we get him home, I feel he has gotten good care. The business is always clean and never has a «doggy» smell. The staff has always been polite and very helpful. I have recommended BNC to several of my friends. I wouldn’t think of taking him anywhere else!

I boarded my dog for about a week and when I went to pick him up I was told that he had chewed the bottom of the door to his room. I was showed pictures and was told to pay $ 135 for the damages. I did not see the actual damages. This dog has never chewed a thing before. If he did it probably was because he had been neglected. I will not board there again.

As the owner of 2 dogs, 2 very hyper dogs, I cannot praise At Your Bark and Call enough. On long work days for my husband or myself it is so nice to be able to leave the dogs there for daycare where I know they’re well taken care of and they are able to play and socialize with other dogs. I swear there are days when the dogs have so much fun there they are sad to come home. This week we had one of our dogs groomed there for the first time and he looks awesome! The groomer, Kaitlynn, was so informative about the services she was providing and our dog looks and smells great! The place was spotless when I walked in and we were greeted by Shari who is always great to talk to. This business is one of the best additions to Crown Point. Keep up the good work!

I had been boarding my dog here for about a year off and on. There was always some type of problem from the rude office help to not letting you see the dogs in their play setting. The final problem for me was when I came back from vacation and they had shaved my dog a border collie down to her skin. Her beautiful fur gone. As a matter of fact Mylissa the owner did that personally. They have given Sadie haircuts for a year and just trimmed her, but the secretary said shave her so instead of calling us to clarify they did it. I was upset didn’t even recognize my dog when I got her. I did tell the desk manager how upset I was and she proceeded to argue with me. She even came from behind the desk to grab my dog. My husband called to talk to Mylissa the owner but the desk manager would not put her on or she wouldn’t deal with it. My dog had vet bills for her skin condition that we had to treat after this. One star is really pushing it with this horrible place. You really don’t know what they’re doing to your dog because they won’t let you back. Beware!!!

Our dogs get so excited when we pull up. They love «At Your Bark and Call». The staff is very friendly and helpful. We recently got married and I forgot to call and make a reservation for our honeymoon. When we stopped in they said they were booked a few of the days we were gone. They worked it out so our dogs could stay. We were so thankful because we know they are well taken care of here. The care is exceptional. We have one dogs who likes to be outside all the time and one that wants someone near him. We get both matters taken care of here. The facility is very clean and well taken care of. This doggie vacation hotel is a sweet dream. WE LOVE «AT YOUR BARK AND CALL».

I’ll never take my dog to this place again. The staff is rude and disrespectful. They are very errant with reservations, as well as following directions when it comes to feeding and medicine. They returned medicine and food on our first overnight stay. I was puzzled but let it slide the first time as I thought I may not have given them specific enough directions. After calling them 2 days prior to our reservation for the 2^nd overnight stay, we showed up and they had no record of our reservation. We then got into it with the staff there. They are rude and incredibly careless. Beware of this place! Stay away!

I will start off by saying that I will never take my dog to this place again. From the first time we went there to take a tour, they have been argumentative with everything we asked. There online policies do not match what they tell you. With the two times that we have used this place for boarding our dog, they have messed up the food. My dog is on raw food so we give them exactly the amount needed for each stay. The first time we came home with extra which means they did not feed him enough and the second time they ran out of food for us and my in-law’s dog. How do you run out of food for both dogs. My dog lost 6 lbs in one week. It was not from missing one day of food. They obviously did not separate the dogs when feeding and my dogs food was eaten throughout the week. It has been three weeks since we picked up my dog and he is still not the same. My dog has lost 10% of his body weight. I will never take my dog back to this place. Very small inside for the dogs and they obviously are in over their heads and do not know very much about taking care of dogs.
