Prior firms involving attorney R. Cordell Funk include Funk and Blackburn, established in 2008, and Funk and Foster, established in 1982. The firm handles many types of legal cases including trial and appellate practice in Indiana State and Federal courts.

Business Owner

Attorney R. Cordell Funk graduated from the University of Illinois with Honors in Liberal Arts and Sciences in 1963. He graduated from the University of Chicago Law School in 1966 and was admitted to practice in Illinois in that year. He began practicing with a Chicago Law firm in 1969 after serving 3 years in the Army as a Lieutenant in the Combat Engineers. He was admitted to Practice in Indiana in 1970 and has continuously practiced in Lake County Indiana since.

He was a co-​founder of the Lake County Bar association which unified the 15 associations that previously existed in the county. He was elected as its 1^st president in 1986 and its 10^th president in 1996 and 20^th president in 2006. He remains active in the LCBA serving as an elected Board of Manager and has served as chairperson of the domestic relations section.
