History
Established in 1987.
In 1983, a rebuild of my first bike was needed. Back on the road, people started asking me to work on their bikes, I was also buying Harleys from people, repairing them, and taking them to Homewood Harley where they sold them for me. Bob Parrot, the manager asked me if I wanted a job there. I asked doing what. and he said a mechanic. I told him I was not a mechanic, and he replied that the bikes I was bringing him to sell were better than the ones they were overhauling. I took the job. Through the years, I went to school in Milwaukee at the Harley-Davidson Motor Factory, became a Master of Service of Technology over the 14 total years I worked at dealerships. In 1987, R.P. Performance was opened While working for Harley I was also involved in building customs, for the dealership, and at home. Winning best of show, placing at numerous bike shows locally and nationally, magazine spreads are some of the awards from custom work. Authorized S&S Cycle and ThunderMax EFI service center.
Meet the Business Owner
Ray W.
Business Owner
First introduced to motorcycles in 1976, I finally bought my first bike in 1983. Pan/Shovel motor in a rigid frame with a Durfy Girder front end.36 degree rake on the frame, and no front brake. Times have somewhat changed. I have owned many bikes since then, of all different styles. Sportsters, rigids, panheads, shovelheads, evo’s, blockheads FXR’S FLH’S, Softails, Roadkings. A lot of different bikes. From the first time I worked on that rigid, I found a passion in work that I hadn’t had in my life. Motorcycles in one or more ways were then and now a major part of my life, and it is great to be involved with something that one can enjoy so much. R.P. Performance was created in 1987, and has brought me many different challenges and attributes. Attention to detail, and a dedication to the world of motorcycling. The same type of work is still my passion, and I enjoy it more than ever
