This is a very old business on Main St in Festus/​Crystal City located behind the big First Baptist Church. It reminds me of the kind of shop that I’d visit in the 70’s when I’d accompany my dad to pick up some needed part for a home project. The great thing about this place is that you’ll still find the kind of service one would’ve expected back then too. There are no high schoolers working there just to make a few extra bucks. These guys know their stuff! They are a small business and do not have the purchasing power of Home Depot or Lowes so their prices are a little more expensive, but they will also be of good quality. The knowledge and know-​how of these men will always keep me going back there as I can get everything I need in one trip because they know exactly what my job entails and make sure I’ve got what I need. They rent tools, have a great stock of supplies, and always offer friendly service. Check them out or you can go to one of those chain stores and hope you can find somebody to help you… much less actually find someone who knows what they are talking about. When it comes to plumbing projects, I like to get it right and I don’t want a lot of frustration… so, I go to Harters.
