Horrible. Never keeps consistent hours. Suppose to close at 5. Went there to pick up a suit for important dinner this evening. Bitch was closed 4 20. Totally ruined a whole night… Totally screwed

I had a terrible experience here. I brought a dress to get altered 3 weeks before my sister’s wedding. I was pregnant and had to wait to get it adjusted. The seamstress assured me that it would be no problem to fix, but that she wouldn’t be able to get it done until the Tuesday the week of the wedding. I went to pick up my dress and it was still too big. I didn’t bring the right undergarment, so I brought the dress home to see if that would make a difference. The seamstress did offer to fix the dress, but they weren’t open when I tried to call back and they were closed the next day. Plus, I had to work on the only other day they were open, Thursday, and they had limited hours (9−3pm). With the wedding so close, I ran to another seamstress for help. So, I called Crystal Lake alterations on their next open day and explained my situation. I was not satisified with the work done and asked if at minimum, I could get half my money back due to having to take my dress elsewhere. They refused and wouldn’t even offer anything. I will never bring anything back there and will also let family and friends no about the poor work done and poor service. I am highly disappointed.

I’ve taken several stacks of clothes here for repairs and alterations and I’ve always been pleased. My fiancée took two suits in to have taken it and lengthened and they look great!
Her shop is an unassuming little storefront right off a busy street, but don’t be fooled. Her work has been top-​notch.
I’m completely useless with a needle and thread (I even have her put buttons back on!) and even with a big stack of stuff, her rates are very reasonable and turn-​around time is quick. She called a whole week earlier than she’d estimated, saying his suits were done already!
