Fast Eddie’s Full Service Car Wash & Detail Center

I went to Fast Eddies today… I selected the $ 16.95 car wash… I had a great conversation with Becky, who was very personable and represented the company well… however, when I went out to receive my clean car, it was anything but… a very sloppy vacuuming job, wash and then I noticed that my wheels were still grimy… I went back inside to ask Becky about it, and she told me that the tires and wheels are only cleaned if you select the much more expensive wash. I spent .$ 19 (including tip) and the whole car wasn’t even clean. Very disappointing experience, and I won’t be back

I still like Fast Eddies. Had my truck detailed recently. Awesone job. What used to take ¾’s of the day now only takes a couple hours!

Amazing service! Great quality wash and wax. Everything turtle wax can never be. And no tip box! Employee’s actually have a reason to do a great job that way, and they do!

Upon arrival I was greeted by a gentlemen who asked what package I would like I went with the super and asked if they could wipe down my seats if an extra charged applied I was fine with that however, he did not seem to understand me. After paying $ 25 for a wash they failed to put tire shine on my tires when asked if they could apply it I got this crazy look. My car was cleaned nice but paying $ 25 for a car wash through a machine not getting my seats wiped down and no tire shine is a little crazy!

Mike the manager is a jerk to women or maybe just in general. I’ve been going there for 3 years and almost every time I have to drive back to the front and have them vacuum my car twice. They never get it right the first time. I’m not a picky person, in fact I let a lot of things to, but when I’m paying $ 28 for one car wash I expect it to be clean.
When I pulled around to the front to have them vacuum again the manager told me verbatim, «If the vacuum doesn’t get it the first time we don’t worry about it. I’m not going to get a rag and wipe it for you. People expect their cars to be super clean but you only get what it’s says [meaning what was listed on the description board].» I pointed out that I got the ultimate package (the most expensive of the three) and it included vacuuming. He scoffed and laughed at me and said the guy did it twice looking at me like what else do you want me to do lady. I understand they vacuumed again but I could still see sand. I then realized he didn’t care and wasn’t willing To help me in any way. He then smirked and walked away from me.
Mike was extremely rude, he laughed at me and walked away. He didn’t care about the business he was losing, the customer service or apparently anything.
I will never go back to this location. If Fast Eddies cares about their customers and their business they would fire this manager and think more about better customer service.
My car was a brand new used car meaning it wasn’t even dirty I was just getting a first time cleaning, so it’s not like I was expecting them to clean an extremely dirty car.
Just shocked at the lack of care and disregard for customer satisfaction.

Took my classic car out of storage and went strait there to get a fancy hand wash.
Now I have tons of tiny scratches all over the paint. Very apparent that they were using dirty rags.
Didn’t notice the damage till today. It was over a month ago so doubt anything will be done about it. My loss.

There’s a reason as to why this place has been named the best car wash in McHenry county for a countless amount of years. The detail that they provide from the basic wash to a full cleaning is second to none. I have no problem bringing my vehicles in here and knowing that I am getting the best service around.

They clean my car just fine. I do, however, find it to be rather expensive. I suppose it is on par with the going rate at similar full service places, whom all seem to increase the cost a few bucks every year. I go here for the convenience. If you go on the weekend, plan to be there for a little while. If you go on a week day in the morning, you will likely be in and out in under 15 minutes.

I went here to get the interior of my car detailed, it was pretty filthy with dog hair and muddy paw prints on the back seats. When I got my car back, it looked and smelled like it was brand new. It’s a little expensive to have that service, but in my opinion it was completely worth it, and I’ll definitely do it again. Also, the staff were very friendly and cheerful.

Solid experience. Always have been happy with my cleaning I get for the value here. I have never been unhappy with a trip here and will go out of my way to visit a couple times a month. I give 4 stars because this location is solid and consistent, but misses 5 star as there always seems to one thing per trip that just falls short of 5 star.

This is the worst car wash I have ever had! I paid extra for the «ultimate» wash to get the inside of my car cleaned and vacuumed from the harsh winter. All they did was literally wash off my car mats with water! There are still crumbs in my middle council! Even worse now the inside of my windows are so streaky I can hardly see out of them. Such a waste of time and money! I will never go back again!

I have washed my cars for years and being new to the area, decided to test out all the area’s car washes. Fast Eddie’s is fast and doesn’t leave any spotty work left on the shine! I will be back again. I thonght on a nice lare summer Sunday I would have waited for an hour. I was in and out in 10 minutes. With a vac and wash. Worth the 20 bucks.

A gallon of latex paint spilled in my Prius in the back seat oozing under the seat and on the floor. I immediately drove to Fast Eddie’s with the hope that they could do something to save me. They took my car in right away to start working on it. I drove out with a beautifully clean back seat with dampness being the only sign of the GALLON of paint. Thank you Fast Eddie’s!!!

Buyer beware! Do not give them your credit card info!
I was a member of their «monthly car wash club» for a long time, and when I called to cancel the monthly service they said «Ok, no problem, you’re all set.» Several months later I notice they are still charging my credit card! They refuse to give me a proper refund, saying that I did not cancel the service on the phone because cancelling MUST be done in person. Even though their records indicate I have not used the service in months, they accuse me of trying to scam them??? Doesn’t even make sense, why would I sign up for a service, not use it, and then try to get a refund? How is that a valid scam? The owner, Joe Doherty, told me he doesn’t care, and that I can take him to court.
*Update* The Better Business Bureau helped negotiate the case, during which he agreed to give me a refund. I went in to pick up my partial refund check today, and he said he would only give me the refund if I removed this Unilocal review. I refused. Guess he doesn’t want people finding out about his scam.

Pretty much all car wash places are the same, I’ve been to numerous ones in numerous cities and I can’t recall any that cleaned a car differently or that much better in my opinion. So this review will be directed at the customer service and care. I’ve witnessed workers vacuum out the car and then take my rubber floor mats and just throw them onto my leather seats, when I saw this I knew I wouldn’t be coming back. Last but not least the weirdo at the counter that takes the money constantly has his eyes on the tv and rarely if ever addresses me when I pay. Piss poor service and for that I’ll be going somewhere else.

After having used up my Groupon and continuing to go back, each time I’m less and less satisfied with the results. There’s a lot of roadwork around right now, and a lot of road grime on my car that never seems to get wiped off, even though I can easily get it off with my fingers. The interior results have left a lot to be desired, too. The windows are still hazy, they hardly wipe anything down, and they clearly don’t vacuum everything, just the bare minimum.
I kept going back because we live in an apartment and don’t have a driveway we can wash our cars in, but I think from now on I’m just going to go to the much cheaper place with the free vacuums and take care of it all myself. Not seeing any added value for paying these folks to do it and then just having to re-​do it all myself.

The best car wash around! Man, did they lean my van for $ 40. The best clean Joni have ever seen. Just too far a drive for me.

Wow — this is perhaps the biggest joke in business I’ve ever been to!
I had never been there before and ordered the Ultimate.
When I picked it up it still had bird crap on it, Only the front two foot wells were cleaned — and porrly at that. There was still dog hair and the center council was completely ignored. The back seats were not even touched — no vacuming at all at the far back (SUV) was not touched either.
I brought the help out and explained that I was disapointed. He said that I have to specify to the help that I want the entire vehicle vacumed — that they had some clown in there with guns in the back and he got mad that they were even back there so now their policy is you have to request this??? WTF REALLY?
He said to take it back in line and tell the help to vacume the back. Well that’s what I did and the Mexican who barely spoke a lick of english tells me I have to pay him $ 15.00 bucks and he won’t be able to get the dog hair out???
What a F#$ing joke!
I spent 2 hours at home doing what I paid someone else to do. Never again and yes I will go out of my way to provide my experience to as many people in the surrounding areas as possible.

The owner is a egocentric jerk. They might clean a vehicle nice, but I wouldn’t give this guy a $ 1 of my money again! And to boot nobody knows who is on first! Confusion, confusion, confusion!
