One of the best breakfasts my husband and I have ever had. We love the house hot sauce!

This place is amazing. We’re visiting from California and we saw this place and had to go inside. The weight was a bit long but it was so worth it. TRYTHEMILTONSWINGS. They are phenomenal. Also ask the waiters what they recommend, believe me, they do not disappoint. The salmon and jerk chicken is also fantastic. We might come back to Minnesota just for this food.

This is my new favorite place! The atmosphere is so cozy and quaint. I am not a fan of chain restaurants, where the food is all pre-packaged. So, this place is my dream! The food was AMAZING. Great menu! The prices were reasonable, actually, better than reasonable for the quality of the food. I will be visiting again soon!

Really good food, awesome atmosphere and even better server! We had Lainiey, and she was so sweet, personable, and paid attention to detail; best server we’ve ever had! Absolutely a place to come visit.

Food is good. Atmosphere is nice. I like coming here. But man is the service lacking professionalism. I always feel like I’m a bit of an inconvenience to the servers by just being a customer. It’s not horrible but it’s just not good. Needs some polish. It would be nice if they had kids sized dishes!

Love it! Try the jerk chicken salad or black and blue salad. Yum! We go back once a month for these cravings.

Wish I could rate this place higher. Been coming since they opened. Great concept and much needed in the area. The issue: the management has their nose in the air and treats customers with a «you should respect me» attitude. Food is a 4. Customer service is a 2. Quit being so pompous. Appreciate your customers. I’m done with the place.

When we leave Minneapolis, Milton’s will be the place and food we miss most. We have spent the last 6 months here, and Milton’s made it bearable. We have never had a bad meal or unpleasant server. Tess was the best behind the bar and her smiling face and kind words were always welcome. My personal fav is their planked salmon, the homemade carrot cake is to die for. The ambiance is terrific too. Go and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

I come to MN for business and get Milton’s usually once a trip, mainly lunch take out. But would love to enjoy sit-down meal one day because it’s a cute place with a cozy«eating in your living room» feel(games and books to boot). Food is always fantastic… Jerk Chicken Sandwich is spicy delicious, and CA Club might be best I’ve ever had(grilled chicken breast but juicy, thick slices of bacon, fresh avocado)! I understand why Milton’s is recommended by the locals!

My sister and I had a late lunch at Miltons this afternoon. Friendly staff and our server Laney was very friendly and attentive. We both had burgers and fries. My sister had the plain cheeseburger and I had the Chad’s burger. Both fresh, cooked as we requested, and hot. On the other hand, the back of the restaurant was a shambles. The hallway leading to the bathroom was filled with dirty dishes piled up on a table. Really unappetizing and unsanitary. Just outside of the bathroom is a table with a random printer, toner, and cartridges piled up on the table. I set my purse on the table and the toner fell off of the table. The area across from the cooler had cases of beer and a low wheeled cart obscuring the path to the bathroom. My sister is in a wheelchair so I ended up tracking a server down to please clear the path for her to enter the bathroom. Lastly, one of the servers started sweeping the floors as we were eating our meal. There were 5 or 6 other tables eating as well. Yuck! I’m not sure when sweeping is supposed to happen throughout the open hours, but all I could think of was the dust flying up from the floors. Really a turn off. Good food and good service but big big fail on appearance, safety, and accessibility.

Had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. Was surprised that they only served breakfast food on Sunday but it was printed clearly on the menu and the server was quick to let us know. service was excellent. It was fairly busy and we did not need to wait long for service. Food was fine but nothing great. Plain white bread toast and standard hash browns. I had scrambled eggs with mushrooms roasted red pepper and goat cheese. pretty good! The coffee was very strong.

I stopped in for breakfast and enjoyed what I can only characterize as PERFECT hashbrowns — light and fluffy with lots of brown crispy bits without leaving a puddle of grease on the plate. Along with properly prepared eggs, sausage and toast. Price points are very fair. Definitely will return when I am back in the area again. Service was friendly, prompt and professional.

Another hidden gem found on Unilocal.I had the Black & Blue steak salad on arugula and the green goddess dressing was one of the best dressings I’ve ever had. My boss had Tom’s grilled cheese which includes prime rib. It was very good too. Great service and love the ambiance.

atmosphere: 5 stars. Very cool vibe and décor! service: 5 stars. quick and friendly. food: 3 stars; I got a sangria which was kind of ‘meh’ and a hamburger that was fairly good. Husband LOVED his jerk chicken mac-n-cheese. In fact he changed his mind after ordering something else and the server/kitchen was acommodating.

Let me open by saying I think we may have caught Milton’s on an off-night, and we are already planning to return sometime soon to see if maybe we can get a better experience. But I have to say, it wasn’t great. We arrived and I thought there was a ton of potential. The place is really cute, and the food looked pretty decent. Unlike the neatly dressed host who greeted us in a button down shirt and tie, our waiter looked like he’d been dragged off the kitchen line, with food-spattered black T-shirt and shorts. I thought maybe they were short-staffed and tried to cut him some slack. He did give us slightly slow but decent service, though I will say that his habit of calling my husband«bud» throughout our meal was kind of annoying. Not really very professional. I was also somewhat annoyed that he asked whether I wanted a glass of ice with my Crispin cider. Sorry, but that should always be served with a glass of ice. We were disappointed to hear that the chicken was not available. And then we were further disappointed to hear that(I swear, this is exactly what we were told) «someone in the kitchen messed up the rub on the ribs, so they are available, and they are $ 3 off, but they aren’t MILTON’S ribs.» Well, way to deter the universe from ordering. We were very bummed because we came specifically FOR the ribs. I thought it was odd for our waiter to throw the kitchen staff under the bus that way, and I thought it was also odd that he essentially told us, «Oh hey, yeah, you probably don’t want to order that.» It was also just kind of off-putting to me. Maybe there wasn’t time to redo it correctly in time for dinner. But it was really disappointing and kind of weird to me that they wouldn’t have done a new batch with the correct rub. So I got a French dip and my husband got a dish with egg and avocado, sorry I don’t remember the name. It was like Anna’s eggs or something like that, named after a woman. We also ordered the wings. The wings were OK — a bit greasy and with a coating that really fell off the wing easily. Messy. All the wings were the wing with the bony elbow part of the chicken wing. There were no drumstick wings or thigh type of wings. Not really the best. And with four pieces, a bit on the small side for an app I thought. The French dip was fine. The bun was actually good and crunchy, held up to the au jus well. The beef was decent but not remarkable. The sandwich was enormous and the fries were really good. My husband reported that his food was fine but I could tell he was disappointed about not getting the ribs. We skipped dessert. So lots of potential but just a lackluster first dining experience. Maybe it was just really a bad night. I don’t know. We’ll give them another shot and I’ll update my review. UPDATEAFTERSECONDVISIT8÷8÷15: Well, second verse almost as bad as the first. As promised, we gave Milton’s another chance, stopping in on a not busy Thursday night. This time around our server offered pretty mediocre service, disappearing for large chunks of time and emitting the vibe that she would rather be anywhere than at work. Food-wise, we were again told that the jerk chicken was not available. Seriously?!? This is essentially your signature dish and you can’t have enough of it prepared to get you through the first half of dinner service? We were there before 6 p.m., and the restaurant was not crowded. I really question a restaurant that can’t properly order, prep or cook enough food to meet demand. Really sloppy. This time, however, the ribs were available, so my husband ordered that. He said they had good flavor, that they obviously do know how to prepare some ribs. But he was disappointed that the ribs did not have a lot of meat on them. He felt that the dish was overpriced for the amount of food he got. Also, I think it’s worth noting that I again got the French dip and was served a completely different sandwich than the one I got the first time we ate here. It was on a totally different roll and was about half the size. Consistency issues, anyone? We are unimpressed. We will not be returning soon.

Stopped by with the family last night, had their special, salmon and grits with coconut sauce. Very good, a little too salty for me but still very good. The food has always been consistently good here but what is really top notch, is the staff. The staff have always bent over backwards to accommodate us, my brother uses a powered wheelchair which can be difficult in small spaces. They always greet us by name, always stop by the table to say hi, just really great staff. Thanks Milton’s!

I almost feel like an idiot for not finding this place sooner. Alright, I do feel like an idiot. A hidden gem in the New Hope/Crystal area that I’ve had bookmarked for a hell of a long time. Blink, and you’ll drive right past it, trust me, I have. There are a couple of lots nearby, and across the street, so ample parking is available. Very cozy little place that may hold 50 at the top end? Watch your step as you enter the dining area, that step is a doozy! And yes, I tripped like a stumbling fool. Incredible service throughout. I feel like an ass for not remembering his name, but, the service was just incredible. Very eclectic place with the water glasses being mason jars and the water pitcher being a fish pitcher. Menu also reflects some incredible choices and a very rich selection to satisfy anyone. I went with Anna’s Eggs, which my server says«Oh man, you’re gonna love this, and Anna’s actually gonna make them for you.» How awesome is that? And yes, Anna was cooking, I checked. Girlfriend opted for the turkey sandwich and fries as she wasn’t «that» hungry. Remember this for later though. Brief wait as things come out. Anna’s Eggs. I assure you, this will be one of the best, most flavor full things you’ll ever get. So what’s in it? Carnitas topped with pico, sliced avocado, white rice, cubed yukas mixed in with the rice, a couple fried eggs and some tortilla chips. I know what you’re thinking, how the hell does this all work together? Trust me, it does. The carnitas are perfect. Not dry at all, tons of flavor then the miss-mash of everything that goes with it — and a cool taste from the avocado to top it all off. Just amazing. The turkey sandwich that I ate half of. Really well done with a cranberry sauce instead of a mayo or spread. Lets just say, it’ll be one of the better sandwiches you’ll ever have. Bread was perfect. A light, fluffy wheat bread, romaine lettuce was snappy and crisp, cheese was thick and perfect. And oh yeah, this monster came with bacon too. Turkey was moist and plentiful. But, that cranberry sauce to go with the saltiness was just a kick in the flavor pants. If you’re looking for a killer sandwich, slay it. And because she wasn’t «that hungry» we had to get bananas foster to top all this off. She«may» have had to twist my arm for this… maybe. If there was anything that’d turn you into an enraged ape, it’d be this bananas foster. Just crazy flavor with the vanilla ice cream, sweet but saucy alcohol rum sauce, and of course, the cooked/caramelized bananas. Luckily I have a solid puppy dog look, otherwise I doubt I was actually getting a taste of this. Everything about this place was amazing. Will definitely be back to try the salmon with mac-n-cheese, which I was told is a must for next time. And oh yeah, no pic of the bananas foster because it did turn my girlfriend into an enraged ape, and she snatched it up before I could get a snap.

Go fish! This place has a fish pitcher and mason jars on every table, like it already! Thumbs up: –Décor is cute, rustic, homey, welcoming feeling. Pillows are everywhere, family friendly waiting area. –Service here is friendly, decent and MN nice, hey what do you know?! –Fair $ –Private lot and street parking –Patio seating –Clean bathrooms Thumbs down: –Veggie options not too many good ones. Tried grilled cheese, grits, eggs… –Chicken OK, was reportedly dry. The food has to be GOOD for me to go higher then a 3 star, service and décor alone can’t hold it up, foods got to be there too ;) Patron this place a couple of times and would go back to try some more.
