There have been three Chevrolet dealerships in Cullman in over 70 years. The first Chevrolet dealership was owned by John Leigeber in the 1940’s. In 1955, it became Drinkard Chevrolet, owned by Roy Drinkard. The present dealership known as Mitch Smith Chevrolet is owned by Sharon Smith.

The first Chevrolet dealership was located in the center of Cullman on Highway 31. In 1974, it moved to its present location, which is just south of original dealership. In 2004, the dealership was remodeled and again in 2012.

Mitch Smith Chevrolet keeps an inventory of 300 new cars and trucks and 125 pre-​owned vehicles. We also have an in house finance department for new and used sales. The staff consists of 54 employees. Our Service Department has GM certified technicians, Service Advisors, Warranty Administrator and Service Administrator. We have a Collision Repair Shop equipped with the latest up to date paint room. Our Parts Department has a large inventory of new parts.

The dealership is managed by our General Manager, Paul Schaffer, who has 24 years experience in the automobile business.
