CJ’s Soft Serve Ice Cream

CJ’s Soft Serve is a local ice cream spot in the Culpeper area. They offer soft serves in a cup or a cone, milk shakes, malts, floats, sundaes, and some toppings (such as hot fudge, chocolate sprinkles, peanut butter sauce, etc.). The hubs and I tried the following: a Blue Raspberry Shave Ice (this had larger ice crystals, but the blue raspberry syrup was tangy and tasty — must request just a bit more the next time!), a swirl in a cone (vanilla and chocolate, this soft serve was creamy and delicious!), and a Banana milkshake (this was super delicious! The shake contained chunks of bananas, and it had a lovely creamy banana taste — a little too sweet, but super cold and refreshing!). Service was super friendly, and there were some tables to enjoy your treat. They have a location on the Old Country’s parking lot, so parking is plentiful. Make sure you stop by during the season! :D

Kind to let weary travelers stop to have a picnic lunch. We then treated ourselves to soft served dessert! Great soft serve. Wish they would scan credit cards rather than write the numbers on paper. Not a secure way to get info.

I love soft serve ice cream so I’m giving this place 4 stars… But it was really no place special. It’s good, not amazing.

Good Ice Cream!

Great ice cream! They have 24 soft serve flavors available every day in addition to sundaes, shakes, floats, etc. They’re open year round, but the hours fluctuate depending on the season.

At the end of a wonderful day with students from our church youth group, we stopped at CJ’s and were VERY impressed! The have SO MANY CHOICES — many more than a typical softserve place. My piña coloda cone was excellent — smooth and flavorful. The variety of shakes with real fruit was impressive. Everyone seemed very pleased with their choice. I really wish I lived closer to CJ’s.
