A recent msg. to me from the owner does make me feel better about the fate of the wonderful Culpeper-​location employees. It’s nice to know that there IS some humanity in retail!

Thank you for the kind words about our Culpeper & Ruckersville nurseries. We will miss those communities as well. I would also like to let you know some of the details regarding my managerial staff. It is our plan to be completely closed by no later than December 12. I have told them that I will pay them to the end of the year. This would pay them through to our traditional seasonal closure starting January 1. Every winter I meet with all of my managers and lay out the plan for next year. They will of course be included in that. I feel sure I will have a position to offer them at one of our other nurseries at that time. If you feel inclined to do so I would appreciate your updating the last paragraph of your post since it doesn’t really represent all the facts of our closing personnel plans.

I have been here several times. There is always a large selection to choose from and a very patient and knowledgeable staff. I have even had them help me diagnose a problem from a picture on my smartphone! (Most places have given me the standard «I don’t know») If you’re into organic gardening & don’t want to use chemicals~they have alternatives for you!
I would love to use their landscaping services, but, they are a little pricey… worth every penny I’m sure, but I can’t figure out what to do with my front yard!

Staff is helpful; Selection is big. Prices are pretty good. They take good care of their plants here! Great location right off 29 in Culpeper.
