History

Established in 2011.

We purchased Wash and Wag April 2011. It was only self serve at the time and we felt this would be a great location to add grooming. Culpeper has a wonderful community that has a great love and passion for thier pets. This is our 4th salon to open. we own Canine Clipper in Dumfries and Featherle Pet Care in Sterling and Chantilly.

I am a certified master groomer with the National Dog Groomers Assoiciation of America. I have 19 awards in the grooming competion rings held on the East coast. I enjoy working with all breeds and older pets. I put the dogs comfort levels first and think they should feel like its thier day at the spa. My reward is seeing the customers face when they see how happy and beautiful thier pet looks after a grooming!

When I came to Culpeper my friend recommended Wash & Wag for my dog. I could not be more pleased with this business. The staff was friendly and helpful on the phone and the following day in person. (They even remembered my friend’s dog just at the mention of her name!) A thorough rundown of the service was given, and pertinent info was taken about my small dog’s behavior. They finished when they said they would be. And with green toenails and and a shamrock bandanna, my pal is ready for a St. Paddy’s party!

Wash & Wag is GREAT! We just moved to the area and were in need of a new dog groomer for our Labradoodle. He looks great! The staff was super friendly and helpful. I had my daughter with me and they helped me out to the car with my dog so I didn’t have to juggle my daughter and my dog.
As far as the reviews who said they don’t allow aggressive dogs/​breeds… I’m glad they don’t. I wouldn’t want to worry about my dog getting attacked while he was being groomed. I also wouldn’t want them to loose their insurance because they took a dog that wasn’t allowed. I just called ahead of time to make sure they took his size and breed.

I LOVE Wash n Wag! They do exactly what i ask for and love and remember my two dogs. Their grooming services provide more than Petsmart and at a better price. Wash n Wag has an outstanding reputation in Culpeper and it is obvious as to why. I just picked up my jack russell mix and my brussels griffon mix and they look great! Wash n Wag pays attention to every detail. As for the negative review left by someone else, I do know that they are not insured for full grooming for certain breeds but other places are. So just call Wash n Wag ahead and ask questions. They can refer you elsewhere. I am glad to see they are responsible and follow their insurance policy. I am so glad my dogs love it there. They are truly an exceptional grooming salon in Culpeper.
