The chili burgers are delicious, the chili is thick Not watered down. Only problem is it lacks deserts that most burger spots carry such as a shake.

Close to the bar, which is my home base in the local dart league I throw out of — I end up here for dinner when I have a craving for some greasy, unhealthy diner food. Aka gut bombs. Prices are surprisingly low and the portion sizes are large. It’s counter service — order, sit and wait for your order to be called. Lots of parking behind the strip mall and it’s cash only. Know that the quality of the food won’t be something you’ll be remembering for the rest of your life but know that if you want something cheap and fast — and you’re in the area, Big Tomy’s definitely isn’t a bad option.

Big Tomy’s is great. Four words: Double Chili Cheese Burger. That’s the short of it, anyway. The long of it is that it can get a bit messy. While the double chili cheese burger is good(all of their burgers are good, really), it has the tendency to fall apart. Definitely be prepared to eat it with a fork and a knife as the chili can be evasive and escape off to the sides amidst slippery vegetables and mustard. Unfortunate burger mishaps aside, they provide large portions at a good price for their fries as well as most of their menu items. The joint has the tendency to get pretty hot inside, so brace yourself! However, without question, if I’m in Culver City and I want a good burger, this is the place I’m going to go just about every single time. Also, everyone that works there is extremely humble, down to earth, and are overall just great people. Grew up talking to them for the majority of my life, from teens to adulthood. Love these guys.

I can’t give it more than 3 stars because it’s really nothing special. But, I do eat breakfast here and am satisfied. Cash only and parking usually isn’t an issue. I think I might go for breakfast in the morning.

This place will always have a special place in my heart since this is where I had my first chili cheese fries. Even though I live in DTLA, I still drive here to satisfy my craving. I’m not a fan of anything else on their menu. I think it’s very generic, but the chili cheese fries is usually great. I would give this 4 stars for the extremely friendly service

well, dont expect 5 star dining, but for a fast stop to fill the gut its ok. i had a chicken burrito, and got the boy a grilled cheese, all the food was fine. nothing special but it did the job. i would up the stars, but its cash only, and i don’t think they have A/C, and it was hot out so that made it less than nice to sit inside. they do have a lot of choices on the menu. burgers fries etc. i would eat here again if i was close by and wanted something fast.

Place is great food, I eat lunch here I’d say weekly on my day off, and whatever you get is always stellar. Juan does amazing work and is friendly as can be. Lately there has been a newer Asian worker who is nothing but problems… Orders not right, I swear I ALWAYS pay more with him vs others because he has no clue how to use the register and today when calling in an order got told it would take 30 minutes(in his shrewd I don’t give a damn tone and attitude) I CANGETSERVEDANDPAYAT A RESTAURANTINTHATKINDIFTIME. If you business has been suffering this guy is why. I plan to only eat at your establishment when The normal cook is there from now on this guy is so bad. 4 stars for the food, 5 if this guy was gone.

This place is my «guilty pleasures» joint! I love their Chili Cheese fries! Probably not the best or healthiest thing to eat but they are so bomb! Like melt in your mouth deliciousness. My little sister is a vegetarian and she loves coming with me to get cheese fries which are equally as great! Burgers are great, breakfast is great, so it’s quick deliciousness. Love taking my 11 year old sister here because it’s one of the only few places that she can eat at and it’s right next to a toy store with an indoor toy car race track. It’s perfect for going out to get a bite to eat with kids. Its definitely not fancy; it’s very casual and you can order for take-out. Only minus is that they accept cash only :/

Great place for a large greasy all American breakfast burrito ! With sausage or bacon ! This is a no bullshit restaurant just great food for a great inexpensive price. If you want warm smiles and your food to be carried to your table by a cute bubbly waitress then this is not your place. If you have $ 6 in your pocket and need a fat large breakfast burrito then welcome home !

Big bacon cheeseburger. Huge portion of fries. Cold root beer. Hit the spot. I came here for the first time today. It is located on an interesting portion of Sepulveda, lots of different restaurants and merchants. It is located next to a sword collectibles shop if that gives you any idea. Rudy’s Barber Shop is also 30 feet away, and a couple of dive bars. It’s a standard greasy spoon burger restaurant. The guy at the counter recommended the burger or the chili cheese fries with pastrami on top. I’ll have to return to try that monster.

I think this is one of the best places to get chili cheese anything. Great place if you looking for something on heavier side. You get a crazy amount of fries if you get a combo. You might as well save some money and share. Chili cheese fries with pastrami is awesome so try it out if you get the chance.

Big Tomy’s may not look like much from the outside but they can make a meeeaaaannn burger! Transport back to the 70’s in this old school, simple restaurant and grab yourself an awesome burger for cheap! Let me stress, cheeeaaaap! With burgers under $ 5 and combo meals under $ 10, this is the ultimate place to come and stretch your dollar while getting some good grub. Big, juicy meat patties, fresh tomatoes, lettuce and onions, delicious fries that should be covered in chili and cheese if you know what’s best for you and all served to you in under 10 minutes, 15 max I’d say. I love Big Tomy’s because it’s good and cheap but also because whenever I come here starving I know I’m never going to have to wait awhile for my burger to be served after ordering. Even when they have a sizeable line, they still churn out the burgers quickly while maintaining the quality of each and every one. A great spot and my go-to burger joint in Culver City.

It always amuses me when I see burger places with the Tomy’s name on them accompanied by some thing that distinguishes it from an Original Tomy’s in a smaller font. Reminds me of McDowells and their golden arcs! This little, Big Tomys is completely in theme with the other establishments in this strip mall. A good prelude to hitting the Tattle Tale and Scarlet Lady Saloon, I chose to line my stomach with their chili burger. At $ 3.09 this burger really just fell into the ‘generic’ category. Nothing special, but cheap if you’re looking for a greasy bite to fill you up.

A complete hole in the wall. Good breakfast burrito. Crummy hot sauces for the burrito however. The burrito was a very big size.

Basic cheap, cookie cut patties thrown on a grill. Nothing worth going out of your way for. The bun is basic. This reminds me of crappy beach-hut style food, but in a greasy strip mall. I wish In and Out would move in across the street. Should be a buck or two cheaper due to crappy quality. You can get a MUCH better burger for the same price elsewhere.

This place never does me wrong. Quick and easy. I usually order there bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions and avocado. It is always cooked as requested and when I order fries they are fresh and crunchy and they definitely give alot If you are looking for something late night this is the place to go. Its not a fancy place but the workers are very nice. There is an outside and inside to eat and enjoy your meal

This is a small burger joint in a strip mall. They have a pretty big menu and they serve a variety of burgers, sandwiches, and some breakfast items. Is it a good burger? It’s not a quality burger like The Habit. Is it good pastrami? Not the same as Johnnie Pastrami. The prices are very reasonable. $ 5.99 for a chili cheese burger combo. If you order a burger combo, be prepared to receive an unholy amount of fries. Seriously it’s enough for three people. They do have daily specials. Sundays is the fried chicken combo. Four pieces of chicken and fries and drink for $ 6.99. The chicken is nice and crispy and again you receive a lot of fries. So come by and eat a burger combo in the dining area watching busy Sepulveda traffic go by and listening to the sounds of the lone arcade machine. One last note, this place is CASHONLY.

My favorite is the chili cheese burger w/fries combo. Their seasoned fries are so good and they give you a huge pile. I tried the chili cheese fries w/pastrami a few weeks ago, and I’m still feeling fat. It took me 2 days to finish that giant order but it was worth it. They have great drunk food but too bad they don’t open very late. The guys that work there are very friendly and they work fast.

I love the other Big Tomy’s as much as one can love a greasy burger joint. , but this location is just disgusting. First off, B rating. Dirtier than 99% of the hole in the wall random burger spots in LA. But that never stops me from trying a new place. I’ve been on a chili cheese kick these last few weeks and I decided to come here to get my fix since it’s a mile from my house and closer than the other one. I ordered a large chili cheese fries thinking it would be just like the ones at the other Tomy’s. But no, not even close. Other Tomy’s: This Tomy’s: The good Tomy’s chili was a nice brown, chunks of meat, nice yellow cheese, crisp/soggy fries, everything cheap chili cheese fries should be. But this Tomy’s was just sick. The chili was smoother than a baby’s butt and an eerie shade of gray. The cheese was white and had no flavor. Even the virginal fries, untouched by this pureed chili, were soggy to start. I managed to eat half of it before I felt sick. It just wasn’t good. Thank god I didn’t order a burger!
