Today was my first time having sushi in a long time and it was so good. The staff are very down to earth as well. I’ll be back soon.

LOVE this tiny place… Fast, Clean and Great service! I’ve been going here for over 8 years! Their menu option #31(chicken teriyaki rolls) are delicious especially when they make them spicy. Their avacado rolls and miso soup are also delicious. David, the cashier is also very nice and friendly!

Me and the hot night roll got a thing going on. The guys whose always there always knows what I want with on the side by now: spicy mayo sauce!!! :) The sushi is over all great and even though it’s hidden I get my sushi fix from there and it’s not too pricey. It’s a cute little hidden, quiet place.

This place comes through when I want sushi fast and quick! I always call in the order and just pick it up 10 minutes later and it’s ready. The guy that’s always there M-F already knows it’s me calling(sorry I don’t know your name but I know you really well), you are the man! You already know my order and provide awesome service! I always like to get the hot night roll! It’s a California roll with shrimp tempura and topped with spicy tuna! Yumm! The miso soup is also really good.

Went here the other night and the proportion size and the food taste presentation l has been inconsistent for the last four months. View my previous picture post The food looks substantially different… Enjoy!

Food is decent, but music choices are difficult to sit through. I’m sitting here right this second, listening to hip-hop music… Which I don’t mind in general — but in the last 5 minutes where I’ve been paying attention, I have heard non-stop F-bombs, N-word, etc… I’m no prude, and in certain settings I’d bump this music like there was no tomorrow. But in a restaurant setting, it’s an awful choice. Thank God I didn’t take my kids in here!

Skeleton crew, one person is cashier and waitress and who knows what else and assume there’s a cook somewhere in kitchen. Service is slow even when there are less than five parties waiting. Sushi is good.

Cool, local and convenient place to grab some sushi. Service is good, not great… food is good not great… great ambience/atmosphere. With every purchase you get a free bowl of miso soup! Overall I’m satisfied and I’ll return… if you’re looking to quickly pick up some sushi on the way home… I recommend this place. Enjoy!

Are you in need of oil for your car, perhaps for your buff body, how about for that squeaky hinge that’s been so noisy lately… Because this joint has buckets and buckets of it and it’s a l l l in the food! Just order tempura, pick some up and give it a gentle squeeze, out will come enough grease to last you and your bestie an entire year! Ugh. Tonight, it was raining in the City of Angels. This wet angel decided to fly into this little place and get a quick bite to eat. Big oily mistake. First, the kid waitress took my order, but she was so busy yacking with somebody else, she got it wrong. When the shrimp and vegetable tempura arrived, it was so greasy, it shone in the light and was dripping oil. Good tempura is never, ever greasy. I showed it to the waitress and asked her to call out the cook. A somewhat disheveled guy who looked about 16 came shuffling out. I took a fork and pressed lightly on a piece of yam tempura, causing a flood of oil to run all over the plate. I explained to him good tempura is not oily, and his stuff was inedible. I had tried to eat some of the other vegetables/shrimp, they were also very oily. So, what did this brilliant, Chef Ramsay in waiting do, absolutely nothing, nada, bupkis. He stared back vacuously, he didn’t say I’m sorry, he didn’t say oh, he didn’t offer to get me something else to eat, he didn’t comp my meal, he didn’t react at all. Matter of fact, I thought he was the walking dead. It must have been caused from all of those grease fumes he inhaled. Finally, the waitress who was watching and standing next to him became somewhat uncomfortable and said«okay.» Following that absolutely ingenious display of intelligence and clever repartee, I beat it the hell out of there, I couldn’t leave fast enough. Yuck. What a serious waste of my time and money. I don’t know who owns this grease pit, but they are seriously clueless and need to overhaul their menu and retrain their staff. Better yet, fire them and get new employees who know what they’re doing and more importantly, care about what the hell they are doing. It was blatantly obvious this staff could care less. My family owned restaurants, and these types of employees would never have even gotten past our doors. Yikes.

This place seemed cool before I tasted the sushi. Fun music, intimate setting, solid variety of food, easy and fast ordering and good price point. That being said, the fish was sub-par! My boyfriend and I shared a 10 piece combo and cucumber salad. The tuna had the strangest consistency and I was not a fan of their spicy tuna recipe. Staff was neither super friendly or super helpful, just average. I thought it was cute and unique how they give you a little bowl with tofu and seaweed in it. Then when you make a trip over to the soda fountain, you find a big bowl of miso broth and serve yourself. I wouldn’t go out of your way to go here — it is off the beaten path anyway.

OK I’ve been to this place about 3 times. This place is decent especially if your just trying to get a sushi fix. There nothing special about the rolls although the baked salmon roll is extremely good. Staff is friendly restaurant is clean although the sitting is quite cramped. Not a place for big groups. I feel it’s a bit too pricey for such a small sushi joint with so so rolls. It’s almost like fast food drive thru sushi yet you spend as much or more than a regular sushi restaurant. The offer free soup that why I gave it 3 stars. I was hoping for more from this place from reading the reviews. Rainbow roll, California roll, Mexican roll, calamari roll were misses. The only roll that did taste extremely well we’re the baked salmon roll. Ozzy_P out

This place isn’t very good. The staff is nice, don’t get me wrong. But the food, especially the lunch specials, are awful. I had a chirachi bowl, so supposed to be fresh sashimi over rice. Shouldn’t be that hard for an average sushi place. The sushi wasn’t as cold as I was expecting(warning sign 1) and the squid and some other pieces were tough(warning sign 2). On top of that, add a small canned green tea and its $ 15??? Forget this place. To top it off, the décor looks like it’s from the 1970s.

I come here often(at least once per week). The guy at the register that takes the orders — remembers my order. It’s always right, always quick and always fresh. I usually get a chirashi bowl. While I wait for it I have my complimentary miso soup that comes with it. I have ordered their tempura on the past as well as some of their other rolls(caterpillar, tuna, eal) and their sashimi plate and it was all good. I have never had membranes all over my sushi as mentioned by one review I read. The only two things I don’t like is their 1) seaweed salad — it has too much lettuce and not enough seaweed 2) their spicy tuna could really be much better. But service is great, clean it is, fresh it is, parking is easy and quick it is. So I stay clear of those two items and I am good!

I can’t believe I’m gonna say this, but this place is actually DISCUSTING. I have given this place a shot twice, because I love sushi and this is walking distance from where I work. Both times the sushi has been gross. Not fresh ATALL! Do they just leave it out for days or what? It’s a terrible feeling when you pay for food, take at bite, then have to throw it away, and then have to still go elsewhere to buy food.

Sushi good service bad. My mom and I were here on Monday. She ordered her roll without cream cheese. My order had no substitutions. Once we received our orders she realized cream cheese was in hers and my order included avocado which I was unaware. I explained to the cashier I didn’t realize this fact and asked if my roll could be remade. He flat out said no. I then explained my moms roll was altogether incorrect and he still did not offer to remake it. He blamed the cook and said it’s his call to remake an order. I was poised to buy a new roll but his lack of pleasing the customer turned me off and we left incorrect order and unsatisfied customer. This was my second visit and was my last. The cashier was eating chips between customers and watching basketball on his phone. Way to go for professional appearances.
