David K’s T-Shirt Printing

This is the last time I give business to this place. It’s unfortunate because I’ve always had great customer service from the employees and I’ve always been happy with their product. It wasn’t until this time when I had to have a conversation with the owner, David. I really hope he doesn’t treat his employees the way he treats his customers. And up until now, I hadn’t read any Unilocal reviews, but it’s amazing how similar everyone’s story is, and mine is no exception. I had a final payment situation that I wanted to discuss with him. And it quickly turned into him yelling at me and calling me a con. I asked him why he was yelling at me and I tried the calm approach and told him that I’m always happy with their service and the product, and I plan to continue using them the following year as well. He then went on to gloat about how great his business is and that’s why he’s been in business for 23 years, but in a very condescending way. Being a returning customer means nothing to him, he sternly said to me, «You haven’t even been here since 2012 and have only been here a couple of times». I told him that I will never give him business again with the way he was treating me, and he yelled while saying, «Are you threatening me?» Then he eventually hung up on me. We’ve all dealt with our fair share of poor customer service, but this sorry excuse for a «man» takes the cake. I just can’t even believe that he is still in business and I really hope that he has a file on him with the Better Business Bureau. I look forward to taking my business elsewhere.

I had seen bad reviews online, but I’ve worked with these guys for 20 years and they’ve always done a great job. Until now.
I had ordered about 60 shirts and they got the sizes all wrong. When I told them about the mistake, their secretary was very apologetic and offered to make things right saying that I could just keep the misprints.
That all changed a few days later when I spoke to David personally and he wanted to charge me to keep the shirts. What’s more, he wanted to charge me more for changing a few sizes on the original list, which was the difference of $ 9.
So here I am, having to wait an extra week for the order they messed up and they now want me to pay for the misprinted shirts and haggle over $ 9 for a size change?
I think your reputation is worth more than $ 9, but I had enough and told them I’d return the misprinted shirts and forget about the size change.
He finally conceded to the $ 9, but not before putting the phone down (which he thought was on hold) and bitching me out to an employee saying he just wanted to get this «fucking thing out of here.»
I still had to return the misprinted shirts which they’ll probably just throw away.
So yea, I finally saw what everyone here was talking about. Too bad. These guys do great work. Hope they see this and realize they just lost a customer of 20+ years. And from what I’ve seen of their other Unilocal reviews, they’re gonna lose a lot more business unless they change the way they treat their customers.

Good service

This is exactly what I thought I would read when I Unilocaled this business. I retired from Law Enforcement and am currently working as an investigator. I am working a robbery case where the suspects father is an employee here. I was told by another employee that our suspect was at this business 4 days ago to talk to the dad. We called the day prior and spoke to Edison and Mike who both gave us attitude over the phone and the run around. We then spoke to another male who refused to ID himself and was a total asshole. The next day we went to this business and spoke to an employee who we had spoken to the day before. He was nervous to even talk to us in fear if what the boss/​owner would do to him. We then spoke to the owner who came walking back from lunch. In all my years I have not met a bigger asshole. We explained we were looking for a gang member /​robbery suspect of an employee. Hopefully one day this guy will be in need of the police and hopefully he gets the same treatment. This guy is a giant douchebag!!! I can only imagine how he treats employees and customers. How can this guy still be in business? Don’t waste your time here I’m sure you will be treated like dirt.

Don’t take your business here. Simply for the fact that the owner thinks he’s a Queen and treats his clients like peons. The only good service we ever received was from a few helpful, intelligent, and talented employees, who are no longer there. I’ve heard from several of his clients that if the owner answers the phone, the person calling will hang up and call back later hoping to reach an employee, because the owner is so difficult to deal with. Unpleasant and discourteous, the owner makes you wait a ridiculous amount of time to get your shirts done. We are taking our T’s elsewhere. You should too.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I went to David K’s with plenty of time to get my order on time. After spending over an hour at the Culver City location, my order was still not correct when I got it. They called me every other day to tell me that they no longer had the shirts I had ordered. David is rude and so is his staff. They have nerve to get an attitude when you get frustrated with their incompetence. I have had the t-​shirts for a week and they have bled and torn. During the hour plus I spent in the store, 3 customers who happened to be African American came in. They did not come in together, and none of them were acknowledged. When they finally were acknowledged David as well as one of his staff members said «I thought you were all together». When they asked why they would assume that since none of them came in together David made up some ridiculous excuses. Racist? When I picked up my order they told me that there were some missing, because they had been messed up during the printing process and they would not replace them unless I placed another order of 25 pieces or more. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IF IT WERE THE LAST PLACE ON EARTH!!!

Should of looked at the reviews on here before going here. Thought since it was close, I could get it done quickly and support a local shop. This is why you research before doing so.
David K FAILED me MISERABLY and I feel incredibly upset bu the whole experience. I wish I could get my money back.
Order Digital print TShirts and Embroiedered Hats/​Caps, both costing about $ 300 each set. Ordered them a calendar week in advanced and stressed that timing was important and I needed them absolutely by Thursday evening. On Wed, got a call saying it couldn’t get done. Leaving me 1 half day to scramble to get the hats done. I obviously was not happy and owner (David) proceeded to BLAME ME for not acknowledging that it takes 7 – 10 days to place orders even though we’ve been talking almost everyday for the week and the whole time he stated it could be done!!! And also threatened to not finish my tshirt order on top of that.
SLOW OR NON-​RESPONSIVE at returning calls; Other employees could not help me as it seems like he’s the keeper of all orders (probably why things were so slow and my order couldn’t be done on time.) Forgot specifications on the order and had to call me again.
TShirts were on time but looked so horrible I can’t even present them to my client. Super pixellated, I am a graphic designers and uploaded a large enough file. And I was told they would NEVER print it if it looks pixellated and would call to get a larger file when those situations arise. I got NO CALL. Don’t be fooled by the online tool, it’s horrible and doesn’t allow for proofs. $ 300 bucks down the drain.
Ended going to EMBROIDME
and they really saved me. Turned it around in 4 hours versus the 7 – 10 days at David K. ******GO TO EMBROIDME!!!***** I have a review on there telling about the service and professionalism I did not get with David K.
I’m sure others have had better experiences with the store but I highly recommend you DONT’ TAKE THAT CHANCE.

is SLOW, RUDE, FAILED AT DEADLINES, and the QUALITY SO POOR.

These guys are good.
I had 60 dri-​fit shirts and 30 100% cotton shirts that had to be printed for the 2011 LA Marathon. TShirt Pros had the lowest prices and higest product knowledge of anyone else that I have contacted within the past month.
We are a non-​profit, so bottom dollar cost is a big issue but we also have many well respected board members across various industries (entertainment, law, banking, etc), so high quality printing is of utmost importance. TShirt pros did both and in a 7 day turnaround time.
My only complaint is that their phones were down for 2 days, so all the communication was via email. Otherwise, Gorkem at the Sepulveda location was very helpful throughout this process.

Can I give negative stars??? This place is a JOKE, do NOT give them your business. This review is because of the incompetent people running this place. They are rude, have no business skills, and do not understand basic standard customer service! They messed up an order and then wouldn’t give our money back after they messed up!

This review is for the Sepulveda location and overall poor services I received.
From the beginning, I visited the Sepulveda location asking for information. The representative was very abrupt and short with me when I was asking for information. I told him I wanted a medium size, black, women’s t-​shirt and his response was «that would be impossible,» and he explained that the image would not be visible on a black shirt. He told me the shirt would be $ 27 (pointing at a sign on the wall) and that I would have to upload the images online or they could do it but would charge (starting at $ 15). I later received an email saying the shirts would be $ 20.00. I ended up paying over $ 30.00 for one shirt.
I designed the shirt, and was careful to note the message saying they may make some slight adjustments in order to assure the best image quality. I selected a MEDIUM shirt. The shirt I received is LARGE and is bigger than me. The shirt is meant for a petite woman to help her advertise her business, but the only place she could wear the shirt would be to bed as a nightgown maybe. If there was that major of a change then I would think the customer would be notified and given the option to adjust the image so that it would still fit on a medium shirt or ASK if it would be okay to use a larger size. The design is saved on the website and so it would be easy to revisit the design and adjust it accordingly. I was never notified or prompted about any changes to the size of the shirt.

I have been using David’s for years, I can’t think of any reason to go anywhere else, besides a cheaper price. Though, that might not get you the same quality as provided.
I am a longtime fan, not only because I used him before many times & recently but I know some other large companies that have been using him for their t-​shirts.
He has been around a long time & I can see why.
