Davis Brothers’ Tire Pros

Did business here about a year ago and remembered I never reviewed it as I was driving down La Cienega. Fast service, variety of tires, professional, convenient, and affordable. Anything else people have already said it in other reviews. Highly recommend this business.

These guys are the best! I bought two tires here not too long ago and then I got two nails in my new tire and thought for sure I would have to buy another new one (expensive because I have special tires on my car)! Instead they fixed it for $ 30. They always give you options when you are buying new tires and it’s quick and friendly guys. Tips: It does get busy on Saturdays so go on the week day if you can. If you have special tires call ahead and they’ll order them to the shop and get them usually within a day (last time they got them same day).

It is very easy too find. The parking spaces are limited, but I’ve never had a problem morning or mid day. Someone walked up to me right away and changed my donut tire to a regular. Very fast service and very nice employees. There’s also a waiting area in the office. Great place to know about and recommend.

I (and a few dozen other drivers) hit a pothole larger than a jacuzzi on the wonderfully maintained streets of Los Angeles. I thought it was just a couple flat tires so I had it towed to Davis Bros Tires. I arrived before they opened but Larry took me in right away. They took the tires off and realized my tires were fine but my wheels were broken so they gave me loaner wheels and tires so I could drive to work while they ordered the wheel. Unfortunately, I needed to take the car to a collision place to rule out frame damage so I ended up not having them replace the wheels but Larry didn’t give me any grief! He put the wheels and tires back on and I had it towed to the body shop. These guys are so friendly and honest that I will be making this my go-​to place for anything tire, brake, or alignment related!

Eddie helped me right away at the front counter, the mechanic quickly diagnosed my issue (needed new front brakes), and the service was completed promptly. No up selling or recommending things I didn’t need, very honest and knowledgeable staff. Saved me 2 hours and $ 100 over going to the dealership! Check them out.

I’m very happy with my experience at Davis Brothers’ this morning. I got a flat tire last night & after changing it, discovered a nail in the tire. I changed it to a donut & found Davis Brothers on Unilocal this morning. I took it in & they took care of it immediately. They repaired the hole & changed my tire back. I was out in 15 minutes. They charge $ 23 minimum for tire repairs. Not a bad price for the work they do & the time they saved me, but I’ve had tires repaired for lower prices at other tire repair shops.

I’ve come here maybe 3 times in the last 5 years for all my tire needs. After this last time they’ll have my loyalty for as long as I’m in LA.
I recently replaced my two front tires here. One of them developed a slow leak for some reason about a month out. I brought it in thinking that they needed to work on their quality check, but it turned out something was wrong with the valve (probably my fault, I do vaguely remember hitting the curb last month). The guy replaced/​fixed it within 5 minutes, checked the rest of the tire for leaks (none) and sent me on my way. He refused payment since I had just purchased them there. Such great customer service is hard to find, especially in the auto business.
GO TO THESE GUYS. You will not be disappointed.

Let me just start off by saying that I’m totally baffled as to «how» this place has gotten so many 5 star reviews.
When I needed a simple tire alignment, my mechanic in Culver City suggested I try Davis Brother’s Tire. So I check them out on Unilocal.I was floored that they had so many perfect reviews because no other tire shop on the Westside seems to have these many perfect reviews. So I thought awesome, these guys must be the most honest and friendly guys in town. Dam was I in for a VERY RUDE awaking.
I dropped my car off at noon and was told it’d be done around 1:30pm. Ryan informed me that it took at least an hour and fifteen minute to do a tire alignment. Ryan seemed jumpy and talked really fast at me. The kind of person who talks at you, but doesn’t seem really interested in listening to what you have to say. In hindsight I can now say, yeah there was something off about Ryan right from the start. I had a nagging feeling telling me this guy seems crooked. But I reassured myself with the fact that their Unilocal reviews were so extraordinarily high. However the first thing Ryan wanted to do is up-​sell me with a new pair of tire to the tune of $ 800. When I told him that I’d think about it, he told me about a pair for $ 500. Once again I told him that I needed to think about it. He then insisted if I didn’t buy the new tires he wouldn’t be able to promise the accuracy of the tire alignment. Again I told him I didn’t want new tires right now. I pointed out the fact there’s still tread on my existing tires. He reluctantly agreed that they didn’t need to be replaced right now… and he stormed off with my key — very frustrated.
I left the car and to my surprise, they called before 1pm to say it was done. I thought wow that’s quicker then they said it’d take.
I walked in to the office to pay and get my key. Ryan was nowhere to be seen. One of the guys at the desk showed me a alignment print out and indicated that they were only able could to align 3 out the 4 tires. When I began questioning this, the guy couldn’t explain to me why. He just keep saying that’s just the way it is. This doesn’t make any sense — Why only 3 of the 4 tires?!? He had no other answer. Suddenly Ryan appeared with a quick answer — something about factory specs only allowing for a certain amount of adjustment. However he reassured me that this was all normal and that my tires were now basically perfectly aligned. I paid him and then asked if he could change the address on my receipt… Ryan flew into a rant about how his computer could not change an address after they’d been inputted. It was simply impossible. I insisted that it had to be possible… and guess what? After 30 second Ryan produced a new receive with the changed address. hum…
As I drove away I noticed that not only was the car still drifting hard to the right… But in fact seemed to be worse than when I brought it in. I returned the car and Ryan didn’t want to deal with me. When he notice me walk back in, he pulled out his phone and began occupying himself with texting. He insisted the car was fine and asked me if I wanted the tires rotated again. Keep in mind, they never told me that they’d rotated my tires in the first place. I insisted that he test drive the car himself. He drove the car around the block and told me it was fine. Then he drove me around the block to prove to me that the car was fine. He even mentioned at one point, «That if anything the car seemed to be pulling to the right and not the left.» I say yes that’s exactly what I’ve been saying to the «RIGHT.» But he wasn’t listening. I then asked him to let me drive so I could show him what I was talking about. He refused and drove us back to the shop. I drove around the block once again to triple check this. And yes it still didn’t seem right… So I brought the car back to Ryan. Ryan got VERY hostile and started telling me — I told you that if you didn’t buy new tires… I asked if was going to do anything else to help him or if he even cared… Ryan clearly insisted, «no!»
Horrible!!! Waste of half a day and my hard earned money.

I was recommended to Davis Brothers by a friend of mine that is a Mechanic.
A+, would recommend to absolutely ANYONE. I get a bit nervous of being taken advantage of as I know literally nothing about cars, and they did an absolutely great job. Called them up on the phone first where he diagnosed my problem (my car was groaning when I braked, I needed new brake pads) and reassured me if it brought it in in the AM before work i could be out of there within the hour and to work on time.
Went exactly as I predicted. Price was extremely fair (much lower than I expected to pay). Also noticed my tires were at the tread point and switched my newer back tires with my older front tires, free of charge.
This is probably one of the best car experiences I have ever had. I usually expect to wait 3 – 4 hours (i.e. Sears) but they started working on my car almost immediately. Paul and Ryan really took care of me and I will definitely be going back!

Decided on this place after reading the Unilocal reviews. Got two new front tires, the price was reasonable, the service was fast and they even removed the bad lightbulb from my headlight. Mo has excellent customer service skills and I will definitely be back. I highly recommend!

I’m a customer since 2000, and what can I say, all of my past three cars (which DB mentioned me through their record) is being serviced at DB.
Interestingly, I mainly take my car to work on tire alignment, wheel balance and brake service. These task require much more knowledge, experience and skills than just changing the tires. They know how to adjust the car to run STRAIGHT and Balanced.

I’ve been coming to this family owned business for almost a decade now… The most outstanding, honest, awesome family around… I can’t imagine taking my vehicles anywhere else when they need a new pair of shoes… Ryan is the best and so is his old man…
I cannot stress enough this day and age how upfront and honest they are; there has NEVER been a moment of up-​sell… There was even a time they suggested I get a used set to return my lease as opposed to paying full price for their brand new tires and referred me to a couple of places…
Just fantastic people all round to deal with — in fact, will see you this coming Saturday to swap out the tires for my new wheels !!! Can’t wait for the free pretzels…

I highly recommend anyone needing new, used or tire repair to use the services of Davis Brothers Tires.
They are honest, fair and treat other humans fairly (which is sayings lot in these challenging day and times).

I blew a tire on the way to work in Culver City. My tire is an unusual model and size so it’s challenging to find a store that has it in stock. Davis Brothers didn’t have it in stock but was able to have it delivered later that day from their distributor. Paul, the owner, was even able to beat the price of a local competitor. I had my car towed to Davis Brothers and they started to replace my tire within 10 mins. of arrival. Unfortunately, a wheel stud broke during installation but they offered to replace it for free. Several days later I returned with a new wheel stud and they replaced it in short order. Friendly customer service and no unnecessary upsells put Davis Brothers ahead of the pack in my book.

This place is fabulous! Attentive when calling to make an appointment. Punctual by taking my car in right on time. Helpful in showing me different tire options and explaining the differences to me. Kind and considerate from start to finish (no talking down to me just because I’m female). Waiting area is clean. The turn around time was speedy. The price (I’ve purchased lots of tires over the years) is incredibly fair.
They also helped my husband by repairing a flat tire and showing him the different options he had for repairing it all at a fair price.
Definitely will return for any and all tire needs.

I didn’t end up actually doing any business at Davis Bro’s, but that’s a good thing. I had brought my car in to the BMW dealership for some regular maintenance and they informed me that I had a nail in one of my tires, and that they don’t patch they’d only replace. Cool story bro.
Brought my car over to Davis based on their Unilocal rep and told them what was up. When I went back to pickup my car they told me there was no charge. The nail hadn’t actually punctured my tire, they removed it and tested it. Thank you have a nice day.
The kind of honesty that’s rare to find in a service shop. They could have easily charged me and I would have been none the wiser. I’ll def be bringing more business to these guys.
