HELL NO! They made it very clear they DON’T KNOW or CARE how to cut black people’s HAIR at the shop to me when I called and asked if they do (which I shouldn’t even have to do). He literally agreed that he didn’t give a f*** and «he’s too old for this». This is 2016 not 1956. and black people are still being discriminated against at barbershops?!! F his place until he drops the racist perspective and infrastructure of his shop, anyone should be able to get their haircut at a freaking barbershop in the 21st freaking century!!! DON’T COME HERE.

Decided to check it out after seeing all the good reviews but I went in on two occasions during a week day around 3 – 4 pm and there were both busy with about 2 – 3 people waiting ahead. Don’t like the place as there is only ONE chair and I’m imagining just ONE barber from how they mention one Carlos guy. When I walked in on both times, the first time– the guy looked angry as if me going in just delays his time of leaving, just didn’t seem friendly in welcoming a new client so I left. Decided to try again later in the week and this time the guy didn’t bother looking up or welcoming me, seems like he just his group of family and friends that he’s cool with and then to the new people doesn’t seem to treat them the same? Just decided to take my business elsewhere. Shouldn’t be rated this highly, especially if you are impatient. one chair doesn’t cut it.

Chose this from reviews, first time coming in, so I came in at 4:41, shops is empty except one guy just getting into the chair. They guy behind the chair said can I help you and I said wanted to get a hair cut and he looked me up and down and said he was booked the rest of the night! What? Your site says no apt needed! Judgmental much? Cash is green dude!
I would has more respect if he just kept the hood on!

All in all, this will be your new favorite barbershop. Carlos is a professional. He’s very corteous, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The spot is loaded with classic images and drawings — which gives it a very interesting feel. There is a tv/​cable and a restroom available for customers.
I would definitely recommend this place! Check it out!

As far as I’m concerned, Carlos has given me the best haircuts that I’ve ever received. Quick, painless, and always perfect. I’m down in San Diego for college, and my quest for a barber has quickly hit a hiccup, so I’m definitely missing this place. If you tell him what you want, you’ll get it, and you won’t be disappointed.

I’m very distrustful and hesitant about barbers after having some bad experiences, but there was no need for that here. I received one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had today from Carlos (partly due to better communication than previous cuts on my part) but he was very attentive and confident about his work and my worries quickly went away. I walked in, he greeted me, I waited about 15 — 20 minutes for two other people before me, got in the chair, showed him some photos of what I wanted, he asked questions, and we got to work. At the end he asked me if I liked it, I said yes, but wanted a small change in the back, he made it, and we’re good. 15 bucks and left feeling great!

I was a walk-​in at Carlos’s place one afternoon. No one else was there at the time, so he saw me immediately. He was very nice, and he cut my hair in a very meticulous and attentive manner. It only cost $ 15, parking was easy to find, and I had absolutely no complaints.
Just bear in mind that payment is cash only. Also, fyi: he accepts appointments on Thursday-​Saturday only; otherwise, he takes walk-​ins.

I got a cut from Carlos not to long ago, it was my first time. Hes a super nice guy and highly skilled. You only pay 15 bucks but you get the same quality and care as a 40ish dollar haircut. I will go back. If you need a nice fade and scissors hes the man. no bs kind of guy, get in, get out, get on with your life. Hes also open to suggesting styles that will work well with your type of hair.

Just got a quick haircut today from Carlos. He is indeed a great barber and his skills are sharp! I used to go to the Supercuts down the way but had one too many bad haircuts. Carlos’ place is a one chair operation but you get 100% of his attention.
I would def. go back to Carlos again!

Carlos is a a great barber. I used to drive 40 minutes just to get a haircut, but I saw his shop by my house one day and I decided to give it a shot. Needless to say I never drove that far again. He is quick efficient and very welcoming. I highly recommend his services.

Carlos is the man! He keeps a clean shop, which is also air-​conditioned for your comfort. Big TV that always has sports on. Does a good job, takes his time when required. Can’t beat the price either.
My favorite barber ever! If you come during Christmas you’ll see lots of his clients give him presents, which I think is a great sign of what people think of him and his services.
