Joshua Fleck Hair

This review is long overdue… I first found Joshua about 3 years ago at a salon in Culver City and gave him full creative freedom with my hair. Now first I should note that I had been doing my own hair (quite terribly) for years prior, so it was in horrendous condition when I handed myself over to Joshua. He totally transformed me! He gave a super flattering new cut and GORGEOUS color and even gave me a style (and styling tips) that actually worked with my naturally curly and frizzy hair.
Fast forward to now, 3 years later… I have loyally followed Joshua to his new salons and always continue to give him free reign. I completely trust his creative vision, his professional expertise, and his craftsmanship every time. He has transformed my look numerous times over the years and with every new cut and color I feel beautiful and confident and soak up all the compliments I get everywhere I go «omg I love your hair» (I hear it ALL the time!). He has made my hair into a gorgeous and silky purple bob, a blue assymetric cut, long and dark layers, and I cant wait for my next hair chapter! :) Even when my hectic life forces me to wait way too long before another appointment and its been so long I should have faded color and split ends, nope my hair is still vibrant and silky smooth as always! (This last time I waited over 5 months and was still getting compliments on 5 month old color!)
I cannot recommend Joshua enough. He is so professional, efficient, friendly, talented and skilled. He is a great listener and he is very patient. His prices are fair, bit honestly if it were twice the cost, I would still happily pay, his work is worth every penny! If you have any hesitation about your current hair situation, drop your stylist and call Joshua NOW!

Where do I begin? I’ve been going to Josh for almost a year now, and he knows what he is doing! He took the time to listen to me when I wanted to change my hairstyle. He made suggestions according to my lifestyle and face shape. Every time I get compliments on my hair, I always tell them who I go to. I will never go to anyone else again as long as Josh is around.

Joshua is extremely talented because he is detailed oriented. He listened closely to what I wanted and also made some
very good suggestions. I have very curly hair and its the best haircut I’ve received since moving to LA. He’s also a very nice person and it’s well worth that reasonable cost.

Since I first went to Joshua last year, I haven’t found a reason to find someone else. I’m very specific with what I want but have trouble conveying it. However, Joshua always tries to understand you and is very knowledgeable. He’s a really talented person that pays attention to detail and I’d recommend him to anyone.

I followed Joshua to his new space in Hollywood. That added on about 30 minutes to my drive to get to him, but he’s completely worth it. He always listens to what I’d like to do with my hair but will tell me when it’s not the best idea and will make suggestions. His cuts are super precise without being uptight at all, and they grow out really well.

Josh was highly professional and payed a lot of attention to what i wanted.
He really takes the time to understand what you need and delivers it!

One of Joshua’s key abilities is to talk through each cut as he details out the «perfect» cut for you. His ability to keep so professional has made me understand how much he truly cares, above and beyond what he needs to do.
/​/​Ability
Perfect hair cut + happy wife = happy life. Hahaha, all joking aside, I have difficult Asian hair and my wife (Asian hair as well), is very particular and has to be done right. If not, it sticks out on the sides or will just look like you had your cousin cut your hair. He’s had training and experience that spans years and definitely knows how to cut based on the pictures you bring, styles you communicate, shape of your head, etc. Amazing stylist and cuts as if he is working on a piece of art! Very meticulous which I love!
/​/​Parking and Price
His shop is located in a shopping center in which they validate the parking before you leave, so nothing to pay. The price for his services are priced nicely and for what you get, it’s WORTH IT!
In summary, it’s always been hard for us to find THE stylist here in LA. Going from one salon to the next, it is great to find my stylist that I will stick to with Joshua. Look at his reviews, talk to him personally, and you will be a loyal friend/​customer just like us.

I LOVE Joshua! He’s been taking care of me for almost 10 years! I’ve referred so many of my friends to him. He is such an amazing hair ARTIST… not just stylist. He’s also a perfectionist so I can always trust that my hair will look amazing after he’s done. I have very fine asian hair and it tends to go flat. Joshua knows how to create the volume and style I want. He will also educate you on how to take care and style your hair.
It’s always a great time with Joshua. He will have you laughing the whole time. He’s great with developing relationships because he’s such a great listener. He caters to his client’s wants and needs. I don’t only consider him as my hair stylist but a dear friend as well!

Joshua is the greatest! I have naturally wavy hair. I used to keep it short because it was so out of control. Now its a great medium length. It looks great wavy and looks great flati roned. I get compliments daily.

Joshua is the bestest in the westest! He was my hair stylist in the Bay Area before he moved to LA. I miss you Joshua! He is meticulous, careful, attentive, creative and just a real nice guy. And fun too! He was able to make my curly hair have style.

If I could give Joshua 6 stars, I would. No other stylist (and I’ve met a lot) gets «sexy hair» like he does. My long, lifeless hair has been totally transformed! It now has tons of volume at the crown (how like it:) and falls beautifully any which way I move it.

Josh has been doing my hair for almost 10 years. I have followed him from salon to salon. Waited for him while he tried his craft in Florida and San Francisco. His color work is amazing. He respects your desires and is not scissor happy unless you ask him to b. I referred him to a friend for straightening and a Brazian blowout and she now won’t go to anyone else. He is adventurous if you give him permission to be :). The cuts he gives me look like they were just done 12 weeks later. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is a true artist!!! If you try him once you will be a forever customer!
