Cool space at the awesome Bergamot station in Santa Monica. Wish I’d had more time to check out the other galleries. I came to see Ben Weiner’s painting/​video installation, which was beautiful. Would definitely recommend checking this space out, along with the rest of Bergamot station.

I don’t really enjoy the oil paintings here but I enjoyed Mark Ryan’s stacked sculptures. Kiel Johnson’s was a good show. Next year they will exhibit photographs in the project room. The dealer has an eye for ink drawings. They show amazing woodblock prints and memento mori paintings but I don’t know any of the artists they represent.

Just got back from an opening tonight with a friend and had a great time– DJ, drinks, amazing art, great crowd. also very friendly staff at the gallery whether a prospective buyer or art appreciator.
