Matt Smith is one of the best speech therapists I have ever worked with. I am a Special Education Resource teacher, and I worked alongside Matt on a weekly basis in a shared classroom. Right away, it was easy to establish a professional rapport with Matt. He is knowledgeable, kind, firm and also has a sense of fun that I have never seen with another service provider. He incorporates games, turn-​taking, iPad apps, movies and more into his therapy sessions that proved to be very engaging for students from kinder up to 8^th grade. He was able to achieve results where students were able to exit LAS (speech) services in a timely manner. I personally learned a lot from Matt in the time that we worked together, and would highly recommend him to families, either in a home or clinical setting. He really is top-​notch in his field.

Matt is definetly the «child whisperer» and is able to produce results in our son that he was unable to in the past. Matt is highly knowledeable and is teaching us as parents along the way. Would recommend to anyone seeking special, one-​on-​one speech therapy!

Matt is currently working with our six year old son, who is severely autistic and has no words, and we pleased with his efforts. Matt makes our son work hard and has made solid progress in his overall communication skills.
Matt is very good at communicating with us as parents and we are comfortable with him in our home. I like his professionalism and inclusion. He is knowledgeable of available resources and is helping his navigate through the special needs maze as travel down the autism spectrum with our son.

Matt Smith is the best investment I have made for my child. As a parent
of a 4 y.o. at the time it was difficult to see through the time and financial commitment for therapy 3 times a week while other kids were at play dates and parties. We had seen other speech therapists previously with little results. I can confidently attest that it was all worth it. My daughter averaged 95^th percentile overall on her ISEE s and is currently attending a top notch private school, engaged in sports and maintained all As and one B+ in foreign language for which her teacher asked her to appeal to gain honors status in Spanish for next year. She is happy, succeeding in school and socially on par. This is all credit to Matt Smiths knowledge, skill and nurturing style. Matt is always staying current by attending continuing education courses and seminars where cutting edge information is presented and implemented. My daughter directly benefited from his hard work and professional acumen. Matt not only gave my daughter decoding skills, but confidence to tackle teaching herself new skills. She currently neither wants my help nor that of a tutor. «Mom, I got this!» was the best thing this parent could ever hear.
