Next Generation Leaders

I truly appreciate the team at Next Generation Leaders for what they do. Laurel is a gifted educator and goes above and beyond for her students. My son enjoys going to his Saturday tutoring sessions and made sure I knew he wanted to return when the 2015 school year was back in session.

Highest recommendation! Laurel runs a fantastic operation. It’s efficient compassionate, flexible and the kids don’t hate it. That’s an accomplishment. This is not just homework help. It’s organization, studying skills and strategies and involving the students in mapping their own routes through their courses and course work. Of all the treasures we have here in Culver City this is one that shines as brightly as any or at least it is for parent of school age children.

My daughters attitude toward her studies has vastly improved. She likes going to Next Gen. She was in a panic over her grades and it has totally turned around. She is feeling more confident. Enjoys the tutoring. I like that they are super organized and send me personal emails after each session so I can keep on top of her progress. They also help the kids with their organization skills and organizing their planners thus making them more responsible and accountable for homework, test and due dates. We like it so much all our neighbor kids are carpooling their during finals week. It’s affordable too compared with other places. And within walking distance of the high school. Highly recommended.

We started sending our high school-​aged son to Next Gen two years ago as a place to get help with school. What we got was so much more. Our son struggled with math, but had a much greater challenge with organizational skills. Two years later, he’s vastly more organized, knows so much more about how to study and prepare, his grades improved, and he’s talking both AP and Honors classes.
Laurel and her assistants are patient, astute and possess a psychological sophistication that not only motivates our previously pretty unmotivated student, but the results have been inspiring. So much so, we enrolled our eighth-​grade daughter this year — and she’s improved in every one of her classes.
