Just got my smog checked here. It’s right next door to the Shell station on the corner of Venice and Overland. Normally its $ 50 for everything, certificate included — pretty standard pricing but a bit cheaper than some other options around. With the Unilocal check in deal, everything was $ 40! Now that’s a great deal!
I stopped in on a Saturday morning around 9:45am, had to wait about 5 minutes for someone before me to finish and the smog check itself was done in under 10 minutes. I would hardly call any of that a wait.
Francisco was so kind and even backed my car out for me so I could easily pull out onto the street. Highly recommend Smog Solutions.

My husband was worried about our car getting a smog and getting ripped off, I told him to go to Smog Solutions, because it has great reviews. Of course my husband was stubborn to prove me worry. Great smog shop. Almost don’t want to write about it here on Unilocal for fear that it will get blown up and too busy. Francisco helped me in literally less than 10minutes and for a total of $ 55 including all fees. I was able to do it on my lunch break and even grab a bite on the way back to the office.

My second time coming here for smog check. $ 59 for it. Is that expensive? I dunno. I can’t recall what I paid 2 years ago. It’s right by my house and there was NO wait and I was done in like 15 min so I was pretty happy. The guys were really nice and I will come back again when I get another smog check notice. You can go to McDonald’s right next door while you wait!

Francisco was extremely helpful and fast. I was late to get my registration done, and my car didn’t pass the smog test. Francisco didn’t charge me, and let me know that I could go to the DMV to get an extension for my registration while I had the issue fixed. He did all this in under 10 minutes.

I read several reviews on Smog Solutions while looking for places close to my home. The ratings were all 5 stars so I decided to take my car there! What a great place! I didn’t have to wait and Francisco was so nice, helpful and professional! He asked how I heard of him and I told him I looked on Unilocal and saw his high ratings! He even gave me a discount, which I was pleasantly surprised! I asked him for business cards so I could give them to my friends because I would highly recommend them and definitely will go back there!

I truly like this place Francisco was very helpful helping me with my car. I have a 97 Honda Accord. I was afraid that my car wasn’t going to past and I didn’t want to waste my money. I called all the smog shops around the area and all of them charge even if it doesn’t past the test. Francisco told me that he wasn’t going to charged a penny if the car doesn’t past the test. Thank you Francisco, I will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends.

Francisco has been in the area doing Smog Checks for over 15 years. He is a standup guy and I always go out of my way to find him. He has now opened up a new shop near Venice and Overland about 100 feet East of the Shell station.
I highly recommend his services for Smog. He also does oil changes as well.
