The Sam Simon Foundation is a wonderful organization. They helped my beautiful Molly Ringwald with a bladder stone surgery. My amazing Yorkipoo had four large bladder stones and I couldn’t afford to pay to have them removed due to being on disability for the past year. I had put in applications in several different organizations. I got turned down from many due to it being an emergency situation. The Sam Simon Foundation called me back in three days and they worked so fast on Molly Ringwald’s case. I owe them my life! They made my little princess feel better. She is so happy now that we both had a good night sleep for the first time in two weeks! Thank you Dr. Mori for your excellent work and everyone at the moble site! You are the most professional and caring people. I want to tell the universe how you made Molly Ringwald feel better, but I know if she could talk, she would bark it from the mountains herself. Sam Simon Foundation, please don’t stop doing what you are doing. Healing, and making dogs and cats healthy one day at a time! I commend you on your services.

I cannot say or write enough good things about these people. From time to time their director contacts me to check in on my doggies. I’ve had 15 or so German Shepherds and about as many other dogs of different breeds in my lifetime. Point is, I have plenty of experience with dogs and the vets that take care of them. The Sam Simon Foundation not only sets the standards for which every vetenary care facility should follow, but I am inclined to go as far as saying, I myself as a human being have seldom been treated better by my personal physicians. Yes they are that awesome! And they do not accept payment. Marvelous program run by terrific, attentive professionals. Thanks Hannah!

I’m so impressed with the staff, veterinarians, organization, and responsiveness. Within a day of applying for surgery I was emailed, and talked to someone to make an appointment. My dog is healing, happy, and remains crazy about life. Thanks you! The people entrusted with the legacy of Sam Simon are doing a fine job.

The Sam Simon Foundation is a Godsend! I ended up adopting a former foster about a year and a half ago with medical and behavioral issues galore. Working in rescue for years, I knew what I was getting into. The main medical issue was my Jindo boy’s left eye. He had dry eye and corneal damage which left him blind. After working with his vet and an ophthalmologist it was determined the eye couldn’t be saved. The cost to remove the eye was hard to swallow. Having been unemployed for more than half of 2015, I started looking for other options. That’s when another rescue friend of mine told me about The Sam Simon Foundation. I reached out to them and they moved the process along incredibly quick. Within 3 weeks of contacting them, my boy’s surgery was scheduled. There are a lot of mixed emotions that come with enucleation (eye removal) but the staff was incredibly comforting. Fast forward to the day of surgery, I pointed out a tumor on my boy’s shoulder that I originally would have ignored temporarily, considering it a fatty cyst. Dr. Mori suggested removing the tumor and biopsying it while he was already under anesthesia for the eye removal. Thank god he did because the tumor ended up testing positive for cancer. Because of Dr. Mori, the cancer was stopped before it could spread and I was able to avoid the devastation (and cost) of finding out down the road that the tumor was cancerous. Lesson learned that day, don’t assume all bumps are benign! I am truly beyond thankful for The Sam Simon Foundation. They are an amazing organization with an even more amazing staff. They give those with limited income the ability to provide health care services to their pets that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford normally. Thank you times a million for everything you’ve done for my boy!

Where do I start? This foundation is the best thing in the world! It’s completely free. You simply go on the Sam Simond foundation website and call the number provided. When you call, it’s a recording that asks you questions and let’s you answer. You must provide two phone numbers and they will call you in about 5 days. I took my baby Gordo two years ago because he had developed a mass underneath his Tummy. Right after I called I received an email asking for pictures of the mass. They were able to schedule an appointment within two weeks. The vets were amazing and the surgery went well. They even provide you with medicine. You must go to follow up appointments. Even though Gordo passed away now, we are truly thankful for this foundation. They helped us enjoy two more years with my amazing baby that I will never forget. I also recently noticed that my other dog, Blacky, has a mass and called the foundation once again. Blacky is scheduled for surgery this upcoming week! We are forever grateful for the amazing staff and foundation!

I took my dog to the mobile free clinic to have very large bladder stones removed. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful — they really care about the animals. They were able to not only remove the stones but also spay and trim her nails. She was able to go home the same day and and has since healed completely with no issues or complications. I would highly recommend them.

I recommend this foundation. I brought my chihuahua here due to excess skin she had on her side looked like a big black mole which came out to be cancerous thankfully Sam Simon Foundation took care & removed it. They did an awesome job, Also called me following day after surgery to follow up on my dog. Thank you SSF.

We have a little puppy his name is daddy around two months ago he was ran over by a car about two weeks ago three weeks ago his right rear leg became so uncontrollable that he actually started to eat his right rear leg this foundation the Sam Simon foundation responded in full force they were so professional so helpful they Amputated his right rear leg they saved his life they kept our family together you will not find in our opinion a more humble and helpful organization to you personally Sam Simon thank you for giving back to the community to us to the staff at Sam Simon Hannah everybody we my family myself the puppy we are very gratefuland will continue to be grateful for daddies the rest of daddy’s life the staff I can’t say enough good about you Hannah everybody the doctors we truly are grateful from our hearts to your home to your family thank you if your at all interested in seeing Daddies progress through this whole deal you can see video on our You Tube type in Gary Haskell and enjoy Sam Simon you guys Rock !!!

I was told about The Sam Simon Foundation from a friend, She said they will do certain surgeries on pets for free, so I immediately applied hoping that they would get back to me soon. You can apply online and even include photos, this will help them decide which pet’s require urgent attention.
Bambi is a small, 12 year old Miniature Pinscher. She had two tumors, one very large one and a smaller one. I was told by three different vets in the past that it wasn’t that big of a deal to get these removed until they just got out of hand, I should have been smarter and gone to more vets for more opinions before it got to this point. The larger tumor started to grow very rapidly getting closer to my appointment for the surgery date and Bambi seemed to look like she was getting close to death. She wasn’t moving much and in pain so I tried to make her as comfortable as I could until that day came.
I took Bambi in for her surgery on Dec. 16^th for her Tumors to be removed, It was so hard for me to do this but after dealing with the staff that helped me, I felt that if anyone could help my dog, it would be them. Both tumors were removed and she was spayed. I honestly feel like the surgery Dr. Mori performed was a miracle, I know that it was going to be difficult. A huge surgery for an older small dog.
The operation they performed on her is just unbelievable. Her Surgery went well and Bambi is active and happy again. She just got her stitches taken out on Jan 2^nd. and the doctor said that she recovered beautifully. Her tumors were cancerous so there is no guarantee on how long Bambi will live but her they saved her life and the quality of the time that she has left is 100% better.
I just can’t believe what they did and I am so very grateful for Dr. Mori and all of the staff that helped me, they were all very nice. Thank you Sam Simon, Dr. Mori and all of the staff at the mobile clinic, You saved my dog’s life. This foundation makes me tear up, it’s so amazing. You make the world a better place, Sam.

My Fellow Unilocalers! Do not be alarmed when you discover that Sam Simon offers pet services for FREE! Yes, Free. In the past I have learned that «Free» isn’t always the greatest. But little did I know that generous people such as Sam, kind hearted people that are compassionate about animals, compassionate about putting an end to human and animal suffering, still exist. The Sam Simon foundation saved my best friend’s life, my dog Duke.
Duke had a bleeding mass about the size of an acorn to be exact and as you can imagine it would bleed out every single day. My daily routine entitled me to be awaken by Dukes perpetual barks during the middle of the night. I had to properly bandage him up once more and clean up the bloody mess. For the past six months I spent hundreds of dollars on elastic gauze’s, powder to stop the bleeding, and other first aid supplies, just so that he could get by, day by day. It was killing me from the inside being at work and so far from home, wondering if he was ok, if he had bled himself to death. I had a burden deep in my heart and people didn’t seem to quite understand my daily struggle.
I couldn’t afford a proper surgical procedure for him, I didn’t have money to get his blood examined to determine what it was that was causing the pain either. The vet clinics were all giving me estimates of $ 3,000 dollars to make him better but having no pet insurance, and sure as hell being a struggling college student I was at the tipping point of giving up.
I thought to my self, «There’s gotta be some sort of place that helps struggling people with their sick pets.» I went online and started imputing phrases on Google, «free pet clinics», «affordable clinics», «clinics that help poor people with their sick pets», heck I was desperate. And there in bold letters was SAM SIMON FOUNDATION. I don’t know if it was destined for me to find this heart-​stopping organization but since the discovery of the Sam Simon foundation my life has been a breath of fresh air.
The team involved in the Free clinic surgery are all phenomenal people. By the time Dr. Mori examined Duke he had developed high risk Anemia and it wasn’t a guarantee that he would resist the entire operation. We all took a huge risk with the proceedings and the crew members were all so supportive of my decision. The Sam team did their very best for my pal. Surprisingly my pal made it through!!! It was the happiest day of my life. I was anxiously waiting to receive their call after I had dropped him off and upon receiving that call it was all wonderful news! It’s been such a surreal journey I glance at Duke and I am still amazed that his tumor has completely disappeared.

The Sam Simon foundation is truly an outstanding remarkable organization that has made a major impact in East Los Angeles, especially Boyle Heights. The Sam Simon Van has been to our Salesian Boys and Girls Club location in ELA and provided animal care programs to dozens of dogs and cats who are owned by low income families. The care, respect and dignity that the staff has shown to our kids and their families through the care of their beloved pets has made a positive difference in their lives. I haven’t Unilocaled in a few years but I can’t say enough good things about The Sam Simon Foundation. It is a horrible experience when your pets are ill and require immediate care. The staff at The Sam Simon Foundation were courteous, helpful, patient and more importantly professional. Special thanks and appreciation to their free surgery clinic and the efforts the foundation undertakes to provide no cost free surgery services for pet owners with limited funds.

THANK YOU SAM SIMON AND CLINIC STAFF. I have to admit I was a little nervous bringing my dog to a clinic for surgery. Well, the Sam Simon Foundation is a first class veterinary hospital on wheels. The staff are professional and caring. They explained everything about the surgery and gave thorough post op instructions. They don’t just take an animal and give it surgery. They examine and blood test the animal to make sure it is healthy enough to withstand surgery. They are very organized and everything runs like clockwork. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for a minute.

OMG The SAM SIMON FOUNDATION is one of the greatest places in the world. I get emotional when i think of him. They get a ten paws up, paws down! I will be forever in debt to Sam Simon, who saved my dogs life immediately. He has truly made this world a better place to live in, he is just one of those guys who gives to our world, which is so rare of a find. I got very lucky indeed. He has made a huge difference in my life and has made my life more heartfelt. Not only did he save my dogs life, but saved mine. I have never been so well taken care of. We are so blessed with his love for animals, I wish there could be more people like Sam Simon, I wish I could be more like him. He deserves the best. I pray that his work will go on forever just like his memory will be with me. I will gladly be forever in debt to the SAM SIMON FOUNDATION.
