Wonderful service. Very knowledgeable staff. Loved the experience. Nice to see an old shop still doing well.

Worlds best mechanic named Bill works here. He has for several decades and will forget more than most will know about repairing bikes. He’s also very friendly, courteous and not at all ego driven. Do yourself a favor and take it here.

I have never owned a bike that was not from this place. My parents started me off and I have looked elsewhere locally, but always come back. The owner and workers are very honest, are clearly passionate about bicycling and willing to help anytime to the extent of getting groups together to go biking. Other places advertise about free maintenance after«X» amount of miles when you are breaking it in. They do not advertise it. It is not a selling point. They just do it. They also help educate you on things with your bike. Truly an awesome place you do not have to worry about your money being taken. Another local place is Cumberland Trail Connections. I was ready to buy a new bike for my wife and I from there when I thought about going Trek. I went in to ask some questions and I was told I need to make up my mind on what I wanted. He would not spend any time with me at all. Offered a card for their website. All fairness disclosed that is the only time I have had an issue. I have not seen that employee back there. Hutch and the others have been great there. This review is for Cycles and Things though so yeah Cycles & Things is a great place.

We didn’t actually buy anything here, or even look much at the shop really. We were trying to change my wife’s pedals in the hotel parking lot before a long ride on the GAP. We discovered we hadn’t brought the right tools. We pedaled over to this shop, and the owner was nice enough to change them out on the spot. She tried to pay him for the service. He refused, said he was just happy to help out. That’s worth 5 stars no matter what.
