When it’s good… it’s good, but when it’s bad… oh man, it’s really bad! This particular day I got the honeymoon spa pedicure and regular manicure. The pedicure starts with a honey moisturizer and Saran wrapped legs, followed by some steam, exfoliation, callous removal, and the normal clipping, filing, and finally a 10 minute massage. This is where my series of disappointments began. He set a timer, but in my case he did 7 minutes of my massage and walked away. I was bummed… I don’t know about you, but that’s my favorite part and every SECOND counts… especially if you’re paying for it. Then came the callous remover. This gel is supposed to go on the BOTTOM of your feet. Well, he put it on top too, and I literally (a week later) still had a chemical burns on my feet. My final, wave the white flag moment, came when he tried to do a French pedicure. He tried 4 times on one foot, and three times on the other, before one of the other woman came by and did it for him. Thank the Lord because my butt was falling asleep on the chair. This whole ordeal kept me there for 2 ½ hours…
I’m giving three stars because I truly believe what happened to me is not «customary». I spoke to a few other customers, and they love this place! I also enjoyed the free shoulder and neck massage. I’m willing to give it another try. Hopefully my next review will have a better outcome.

Walked in for a pedicure and was seated right away. The place is clean and beautiful. Chose the honeymoon spa pedi from several options at various prices. I was offered water or hot tea while there. The pedi was enjoyable and the tech did a great job. She was super nice and didn’t try to up sell, which was nice. On top of that, They gave me toeless socks and real flip flops to wear out when I was done, which was a nice touch. I would definitely return.

Expensive and overrated. I went a few times for acrylic fills and nothing special. I did not care much for the shape each time I went. Pedicures are awesome if you want to splurge. I also visited their other location and this one was best.

Found this place and have never looked back. SUPER clean, excellent service, lots of color choices, and cute little extras (complimentary hot tea or water, neck&shoulder massage, parafin wax dip) that makes it worthy of its name and still affordable! I absolutely recommend trying this location out. I’ve been getting my gel manis here regularly solo and w/​friends since September and won’t be changing anything but my nail color!

SO clean! Doesn’t have that awful smell. Great service. They don’t rush through it. And the complimentary massage while your nails dry is amazing.

FIRST IMPRESSION;
VIP Nails is a very spacious salon. Lots of room to walk around, lots of pedicure chairs and tables for manis. Also, spotless. Everything was incredibly clean, which I love.
My pedicurist/​manicurist, an older male, was friendly and accommodating when I wanted to change my polish color. He did a great foot massage — he put pressure in the right places and wasn’t rough. When it came to the actual grooming of the nails though, he was mauling away at the cuticles. I have two cuts on my hands and one one my foot. He was really rough. I went in at about 5:45pm (they close at 7) and he was taking his time with the pedicure. Once the manicure started and he realized what time it was, it felt like he was trying to get me out of there as fast as possible. While I was sitting to dry, another employee (who gave me a great massage while I was getting my nails painted) came and sprayed my nails with that weird «drying» spray that sits at the UV drying table. He did it so much and so close that I thought my fingers were going to freeze off. He then proceeded to press on my nails to see if they were dry –_​– which was a terribly idea because he left an imprint in them. The skin below my cuticles is now peeling and it doesn’t look like I just got a mani. Probably won’t be returning.

I have been having my nails done for a very long time and never have I been more unhappy then I was at this nails shop.
First I had a older man who seemed like I was bothering him when I walked in. Then I asked to look at the gel colors and I did pick one out and asked if they had one to match for my toe nails and he said yes well after they were done I had pink my finger nails and red on my toes an then he said well you picked out the color. It went all down hill after that. Will never go back.

I used to go to the location in north providence, I think this one is amazing! It’s always slower which means less of a wait. The customer service is outstanding & they serve you tea or water while you get your nails done. Not to mention a mini massage that you get while getting your nails done– a bit pricey but my guilty pleasure! Great atmosphere, great employees

I’m a regular at the location in North Providence (every two weeks, to be exact) but I was excited to try Cumberland out too! Overall I had a pleasant experience, however my technician seemed to rush through the manicure and pedicure that I got… it usually takes just about a half hour longer. She also charged me more than necessary for my services.
The atmosphere and décor is amazing. The salon is larger than the North Providence location and just feels roomier. I also noticed that there are more massage and facial treatment rooms in the back (still have not tried either of those out here yet). I love the fact that the UV gel manicure lights are built right into the manicure stations, so no need to constantly rotate machines! That was definitely a nice touch. The drying stations are also in a square formation so if you come with friends you can still look at each other without craning your neck while you dry!
I likely will continue going to North Providence, but may return here in the future if it’s convenient.

A little more than I usually spending pedicure but I’m worth it! The place was extremely clean and relaxing. Excellent massage with the pedicure! Loved it here :-)

This visit was my first time at this particular location, I’m usually a customer at the North Providence salon. The appearance of both locations is clean, welcoming and hip, which is why I’m a returning customer; despite their above average prices. However, after this visit, I am not sure if I will be going back to either location.
Let me start off by saying that I am always an appointment maker, I never rely on a walk-​in. At my 6:30 pm appointment for a pedicure and shellac manicure, I was not seated until 6:50 pm, something that I had never experienced at VIP before. When 7:15 pm rolled around, someone came over to begin my pedicure.
Typically, I always spring for the «Honeymoon Spa Package» that includes a 10 minute foot massage and callus remover. However, the worker guilted me into not getting that package because it was too late in the evening. She breathed a sigh of relief when I agreed to settle for the classic pedicure. The manicurist then informed me three, yes, three times that I should get the callus remover; three times I answered, «yes, I know. That was my original plan.»
As the pedicure continued, the worker asked what scented oil I would prefer. I replied «lemon, please.» Then, without any hesitation, the worker rolled their eyes and said «um, we do not have lemon.» I apologized for the mistake, explaining that lemon is my go-​to scent at the North Providence location. However, on my way out the door I caught a glimpse of the lemon oil, and couldn’t help but chuckle to myself.
In conclusion, VIP Nails has two gorgeous locations. But keep in mind, looks can be deceiving. I highly recommend attending one of their salons if you are interested in paying above average prices for substandard services. Correct me if I’m wrong, but why would you accept 6:30 pm appointments if you can’t meet the expectations you set forth. A customer is a customer, no matter if their appointment is at 10 am or 6 pm.

Went back again but wasn’t as impressed with my nail tech. He was an older gentleman (James) and the foot massage hurt. Plus, he forgot to use the steam that I was looking forward to (and paid more money for). I will go back but will request someone else.

A beautiful new nail salon in Cumberland. It’s extremely clean, the staff is very friendly and they greet you as soon as you walk in. They offer lots of services– even the pedicures are all different! The classic pedicure will get you a hot stone leg and foot massage, exfoliating scrub and your choice of one of 4 different scented oils. There are 12 pedicure chairs, so the odds of having to wait are probably slim (unless for some reason it’s extremely busy or they’re under staffed). All of the employees wore professional attire, most in polo shirts and some with name tags. They don’t talk to you too much, so you get to really relax and enjoy your time there. The music was also very mellow and relaxing. Reasonable prices. Will definitely go again!

Amazing service and great facility! A friend and I came here for pedicures and we both had awesome service by our technicians. The business has only been opened for one month so all of their furnishings are new. Would highly recommend!
