This is our favorite sushi place; which is odd given that it is in the middle of nowhere. Service is good and food is great. Prices are reasonable.

Went there for New Years Eve with my family sadly our chef Andrew was miserable & ruined our experience! Wait staff & food are excellent but we go there for fun and entertainment and we all left mad.

Seated immediately on a Sunday afternoon at the Hibachi. The staff is very pleasant. Chef Maru was good entertainment for the kids. Prices are pretty good for the atmosphere, I expected it to be more expensive. Husband got sushi and enjoyed large portions.

This restaurant felt very homie, great service and delicious food, it has a pretty big tempura ice cream which I fully enjoyed. Overall a great place.

This place was great for years, but over the past year the quality of the Hibachi has really declined. Tough steak, chewy chicken, lack of flavor. We will be looking elsewhere for Hibachi.

Most of the time you get a really friendly chef. Occasionally, you get one that just does the job. I don’t go there for the sushi, only for the hibachi which has always been consistently good.

Sushi is overpriced and a little… Mediocre? Atmosphere is great. Service was nice, although the waiter couldn’t pronounce the beers I wanted to order. Great place for a quick sushi fix but make sure your wallet is ready.

I was there with my all family. My parents love all kind sushi and sashimi. But i made a mistake for family dinner at Kani House All staffs were not kind and bad food. Sashimi had a smell with not fresh, sushi had lots rice with tiny sashimi. I would not go this place again. Staffs and food were really bad. I don’t recommend this place. Bad experience.

The power went out for quite some time… Nobody explained to us what the situation was and there was no discount for the inconvenience.

The best place for sushi and hibachi! Staff is attentive, courteous and the atmosphere is vibrant like no other. Plenty of room at the bar area with plenty of drink selections.

Ordered appetizer chicken Yakatori came with Pineapple and covered in some kind of sauce. Lost my appetite sent it back. Used to have good food. Service is very slow used to be good as well. Management needs to pay more attention they did not even come over to ask me what was wrong. Waiter looked embarrassed when I pointed out how awful the Yakatori looked and more pineapple than chicken. I paid for the drinks and left never to return.

I wish I could leave negative stars… My wife have been regulars of this Kani House for the better part of 7 years. We would visit at least once a week. The sushi chefs knew us by name… Over the past couple of years we have watch the quality of the food and service decline to a point that has become unacceptable. Tonight was the final straw. We arrived at our former favorite sushi establishment at 5:30 pm. We have young children so we make a point to go before the dinner rush. We take no time to order because we always get the same thing. After placing our order, we sat back and waited. Approximately 15 minutes later we saw our sushi sitting on the counter waiting. Not too shabby, however the plate was not brought to us for another 15 minutes. During this time we were told the children’s meal would be right out. Finally after watching our sushi sit on the sushi bar for 20 minutes it was brought to our table. At this point the children’s fried rice and chicken fingers were nowhere to be found. 10 minutes later our waiter made some excuse about having to cut more tenders and that they were in the fryer and would be out promptly. The chicken finally arrived extremely hot. Obviously our kiddos food was an afterthought. Finally everyone had their food so we began eating as a family. But that’s when bad went to worse. After the sushi was sitting for so long it was no longer good. Even if the food was at the high standard it used to be it would still have been sitting too long. After speaking to the manager, we asked for one of our rolls to be remade. To which the manager agreed and also offered to comp us for our daughters meal. Approximately 15 minutes later the replacement roll was nowhere to be found. We watched as the manager spoke to the chef to get the roll started. She apparently doesn’t think fixing their error was a priority. After speaking to the chef the manager came to us and proceeded to lie and say that the particular roll takes a long time and was curious how we wanted to be prepared. At thus point we were at our limit. We told then to not bother and just bring us our check. So even after all this garbage we still spent over $ 40 for an inedible meal. Needless to say we will no longer frequent this poor excuse of a restaurant. They have last their way and I fear there is no return. I highly recommend you find a different restaurant for hibachi or sushi.

I’ll say this first — it’s really expensive. For sushi, it’s the best I’ve had in town.

Great family restaurant with awesome staff and terrific chefs. Hibachi was top class we tried the chefs special, seafood special and one of the steak specials everything cooked to perfection. We had 2 rounds of cocktails and would recommend the saki special cocktails. Kids(3&7) loved their food. rare to find something they love. plus balloon animals made table side! Try it you will not regret it! .

If the girls at the front hadn’t been telling us that we were the next table while we watched at least four or five tables get seated it probably would have been cool, but when you’re standing there, patiently waiting, and have to see bigger groups that came in after you get seated before, it’s a little irritating.

Was visiting my brother in Cumming and found this place we liked it so much we got take out twice in a week! The service was great even when we walked in we were greeted and asked by more than one person if we had been helped. The food The Vegetable Tempura was done very well all the vegetables were fresh and had great flavor. For dinner I ordered Yakisoba chicken the portion was big and was cooked well. I also was impressed how the vegetables tasted fresh a lot of place they taste like cheap and out of a can. This was not the case. My brother and sister both ordered Sushi which I don’t eat. They said both Orange Crunch Roll & The Rock N Roll were very good. If you are looking great Japanese the Cumming area this is the place to go!
