I’m so glad we have a delicious Thai restaurant in the area. I’ve ordered food several times and the portions are generous and the food and ingredients are so very fresh. Definitely a must to try!

WOW, this food is amazing! Just the right amount of heat to make it soooo good! Fresh food, amazing flavor of the sauces, perfect texture of the dish. Can’t say enough about this place. Basil rolls were a delight much better than blue fin’s. Spicy catfish was better than namh thai(and they just took theirs off the menu). Thai iced tea was flavorful and refreshing and the homemade coconut cake hit the spot. Cant’t wait to eat outside in their beautiful patio area and can’t wait to return as I now have a new favorite restaurant!!!

This is one of the best Thai restaurant in Alpharetta — Cumming — Johns Creek area. We have been to this restaurant a few times and on each ocassion the food and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We love Thai Basil! We’ve been looking for great Thai food in north Atlanta and have finally found it. It’s our go to spot. The larb and green curry are our favorites but everything we have tried has been great. If you like Thai food this is a must!

Pretty good but needs more variety. I ordered pad thai and it was good but nothing special… doesnt stand out from other places. My husband had the thai fried rice which was also good, but nothing special. The best thing was that my 3 yr pld son loves shrimp but theres nothing on the kids menu for shrimp but they made him some fried shrimp and rice and it was delicious. He ate the whole thing. I would go back to try other dishes.

This restaurant stays closed most of the time even well before the actual closing time. The food is very mediocre and most importantly the staff is really rude. I would drive a mile north on Peachtree Parkway to Tin Drum. The thai options at Tin Drum are much better and the staff at Tin Drum is definitely much nicer than this restaurant.

Wow. So good. Had the talay basil. It was so flavorful. The seafood was cooked just right and very tender. Decent price. Good service. Loved sitting on the patio next to the waterfall. Highly recommend.

The décor is kind of weird… & our server didn’t know what sake was… –_– … BUT, overall we enjoyed our meal here. Mix Appetizer(chicken satay, basil roll, spring roll): delicious and on par with Nahm Thai in Alpharetta Tom Ka soup: also very nice, light, and had a good kick to it! Panang Curry: It was good — but not the best we’ve had. Overall — we’ll return here when we want thai as it’s the closest option that is still tasty.

I have visited Thai Basil five or six times since discovering it on Unilocal a few weeks ago. It has quickly become one of our favorite Thai restaurants in the area. Favorite dishes so far are the Larb appetizer, panang curry, Tom kha gai soup, and the Kra Pow, especially with the minced chicken and fried egg option(ask for it). Service is consistently good and the restaurant is impeccably clean. Worth a drive if you do not live in the area, and if you do live in the area you are certain to become a regular after the first visit.

YUM yum yum. I’m very excited to have a place like this so close by. I’ve had a few dishes but the pad Thai and the larb salad are definite winners for me. If you ask for it spicy they will give it to you. THATMAKESMESOHAPPY! The service was above average. I was greeted warmly. I highly recommend this place. They also have a Unilocal check in deal.

I’m so glad we finally have a good Thai place in Cumming! I had the pad thai and my husband the drunken noodles. Both were as good as they get! The service was friendly, professional, and spot on. We have found«Our Thai place!»

Worst ever! Do not even think of bringing your family and legion of friends to this terrible place! Crowds of people will not change the reality of how bad this place is. As a community service, I will bring my family and friends here once a week to see if things improve; if they do(which I doubt) I will let everyone know when it’s safe to visit, until then, stay away so that I may always have a table from which to advise you.

First time there today. Food flavor — awesome. Plate presentation excellent. Service, atmosphere and price value was about as good as it gets for that cuisine. Spice heat was more than expected. Not overwhelming, but would recommend mild if you are thinking medium with opportunity to add heat if required. Had a brief conversation with a next table patron who advised that she traveled 40 minutes to enjoy every week. I will be back often and highly recommend to my friends and all those who really appreciate exceptional food flavor.

2nd trip here, both times with the whole family in tow. Close to the house and much quicker trip than hitting up my honey’s favorite Thai place, Nahm. I’ve realized Thai spicy food is a little too much for me but I love the food. I had the Thai Fried Rice, and loved it(medium spice). My honey always gets the same(Pad Thai with tofu, Thai spicy) and the kids get chicken fried rice and chicken satay. We LOVE their Thai Basil Rolls!!! Kids menu selection is not much though, so they could add a couple more items. The service is exceptional! Both times very impressed with how nice and thankful the servers are. The price on the food is fairly low without sacrificing quality. Three big pluses there! They have a very long bar, so you won’t have to worry about waiting for bar seating. The atmosphere is not much(one TV, wide open space with just tables) and the seating isn’t that comfortable. Hope they improve on that, but that’s not going to knock down stars for me, as long as everything remains the same. Oh, they also a check in offer of 15% off. Pretty sure it’s just for food and not alcohol but make sure to use it!!! We’ll be back!

Really nice inside. I had planned on dining out but was pleasantly surprised so I decided to dine in. Good selection of Thai dishes. I ordered the fried egg rolls, pork fried rice, and a pork and veggie fry dish. All three dishes were spot on, tasty and perfectly cooked. Staff was really nice, very welcoming and polite. I must admit I had low expectations. I was very pleased with my dining experience, the staff, the ambience and the food quality. I highly recommend for anyone in the mood for real Thai food.

We have eaten here twice now. The first time the only downside was the satay(a bit stringy — not sure what sort of chicken was being used…). The 2nd time, they didn’t provide rice with a stir-fry veggie dish for my wife. They apologized later. Their food was quite flavorful but a bit more expensive than the local competitors. Also, they have been open ~ a month but still do not have their license to serve wine. My wife was a bit peeved so I’m not sure we’ll be back…

Very Good! So happy to have yummy Thai in the hood. This strip center now offers three good places to eat! Sushi at the Japanese place, Buffalo Wings at Black Diamond and now Thai Basil. The décor and ambience is lacking warmth. I would not care to dine in. Sheers hanging from the ceiling to divide tables might be nice. They have a long bar the length of the restaurant. Small children running around seem to be a part of the restaurant. Must be the owners children. I ordered TOGO… dinner for 2. We had leftovers… would feed 3 – 4 ppl if you add an extra rice order. Tom Ka Kai Coconut Soup with Tofu: Yummy. Slightly sweet. Not spicy. Will try Tom Yum next time. Shrimp Pad Thai: Shrimp lacking flavor however the Pad Thai is good. Red Curry with Chicken /Spice Level Hot: perfectly spiced normal Hot not Thai Hot. They offer Extra Hot for Thai Hot. Delicious red curry and tender chicken with green beans and a few other veggies. Loved it.

I saw this place driving by and I happen to love Thai food so I asked my friend to meet me there for dinner last night. The restaurant is decorated very nicely, it’s very clean and they have fresh flowers on every table. Service was good. They weren’t very busy but the waitress said they had opened just sixteen days ago. The menu was pretty standard Thai fare. I went boring, and ordered the Thai basil rolls but I just love them. They were super fresh and really good. They came with a chili type sauce but I like the peanut sauce better and thankfully they had it. Next I had the pad Thai for my entrée. You can get it with chicken, beef, tofu, or shrimp. I opted for tofu and there was plenty in the dish. It came out hot and I had asked for spicy but not the top spicy. I could taste spice but it was kind of a sweet type spice, not sure what they used but I prefer a less sweet spice to my food, unless it’s dessert. Nonetheless it was still very good and went down easy. It’s not far from the house and I will definitely be back! Worth checking out!
