We invite all visitors to check the filters comments, as well. The Craftsmen’s Guild Started in 1976 as a construction company and began remolding both residential and commercial projects in the bay area.

Mike Amini’s architectural education and experience moved the company to a higher level and made it among the first in the bay area to have both design and construction under one roof. A design-​construction project helps client both reduce time and cost.

The Craftsmen’s Guild company reached a new level of expertise by adding Matt Amini to the company with his engineering education and vast knowledge and experience on engineering systems and the implementation of them in practice.

Moe Amini joined The Craftsmen’s Guild with his degree in business management and his experience in this field in order to help his brothers to manage all the details required to run a business in a modern business environment.

Mike Amini earn his BA from the University of Oregon with a degree in Department of Architecture and Urban Design. Also, he is the Senior Designer and leads a team of highly capable and talented designers in Carftsmen’s Guid Inc…

His experience entails working for almost 30 years and designing hundreds of homes.

Matt obtained a degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures and is a licensed contractor and head project manager. His experience spans almost four decades and he has managed hundreds of home design projects.

Moe received his degree in Business Management from California State University, East Bay and runs the office finances.

We will never do business with them again and wouldn’t recommend them at all. They talk lot of non-​sense and they claim super hero with lowest cost, but really not.
They will not give you any quote, except verbally until you sign up. They do not give time for clients to review and compare the prices with other quotes. They are not lowest either. They only quote first amount. Whatever verbally they mentioned, I could compare two different quotes which is at least $ 1000 less than CG’s quote.
They give paper work to cover their side when you need to commit to them. Once you sign, you are trapped into nebulous loop of expenses which will be equal or more than other parties.
Never trust those who does not like to formally provide a quote as they are not straight forward.
These are the people you need to avoid. If you sign up, even god can not help you. They closely watch Unilocal,diamond certifiable etc and I am pretty sure they counter with another postings here.
Generally negative comments are rare as they hate to remember the incidents. I gave it here as Unilocal is great to provide genuine comments.
Beware of those who does not provide full information, who does not provide time to client to analyze, and who does not have confidence in their quote saying they are best and lowest.
Do not believe the nice talkers, you will get into trap. They are worth small players, and have insurance $ 12 500, not a big players

I worked with CGI on a remodeling project for my home and I absolutely LOVE the results! They literally were able to make my vision come to life. The quality and attention to detail was great and met my semi OCD standards lol. Now that I’ve found my go to company I’m definitely looking forward to (rather than dreading) all of my future home related projects! Thanks you guys!

My company has done hundreds of shower doors and windows for CG. We’ve been working with CG for over 20 years. CG’s quality of workman ship has improved tremendously. They don’t work with contractors who do not have contractors license and also need proof of insurance for their clients protection. I work with Matt and Roya all the time. They are very efficient and want everything done right. If I point out a issue to Matt, he wants to get it fixed right away. All the brothers are professional and highly educated. I highly recommend CG to whom ever that is looking for a reputable company. Good job CG. You guys are the best.

My response to Moe Amini’s comment:
1. Moe Amini is one of the three Amini brothers of Craftsmen’s Guild. We were told that he handled the billing while we were under contract with CG. His invoices were usually riddled with errors. Other than that our contact with him was minimal during the entire period.
2. Moe Amini was not in attendance at any of the arbitration sessions so his statement that everybody shook hands afterward is «false and completely untrue» to borrow his redundant expression. His brother Matt Amini was the only one of the three brothers who attended any of the sessions. I did not shake Matt’s hand.
3. We were in arbitration. We had to initiate the arbitration because CG was basically non-​responsive to our attempts to terminate the contract prior to that.
4. I used the term ‘counter-​sue’ to describe that CG countered our arbitration claims with arbitration claims of their own, all of which — I repeat — were denied by the arbitrator. In the end, CG also had to pay for all of the arbitration costs.
5. After I posted my Unilocal review of CG, Mike Amini repeatedly came on to our property without notice or permission. Even after we told them in writing to leave us alone, Mike Amini’s wife sent me an e-​mail trying to get me to take the review down. I felt harassed by it all.
6. We will NEVER do business with them again. I believe it is my civic responsibility to communicate this and why.

Mike gave me a call after seeing my review here and on Angie’s List. He apologized for my experience and explained that his mother passed away shortly after our meeting. Due to his mother’s passing he needed to take care of many of her affairs and deal with family matters. I hadn’t contacted him again as I decided we wouldn’t be a good fit so knew nothing of his family circumstances. He had misplaced my contact information. Once he saw this review he could find me again and called me to apologize for this experience. He offered some services with reduced rates to make up for my experience. He also asked me to update this review.
I feel like Mike was sincere and apologetic and was really wanting to make things right.

Had Craftsmens Guild remodel 2 bathrooms and the kitchen of my 1800 sq ft home in Almaden Valley last summer. They were so professional and on time with everything when I initially began the kitchen which lead me to make the decision to go ahead and start work in the bathrooms as well. All together i spent about $ 70,000 on the entire project and had it finished in a matter of 2 months. The greatest aspect of Craftsmens Guild is that they take care of everything under one roof. They also have an interior designer, Cali, who helped me out with choosing and ordering all the appliances and other materials I needed. Im very pleased with the way my kitchen and bathrooms turned out and always recommend them when friends or family give me compliments on the new additions to my first home. I look forward to working with the Amini brothers again in the near future!

We had our home remodeled by the Craftsmen’s Guild in 2006. We selected them because we were looking for a team that worked together from design, through obtaining permits, demo, build, and final project touches. Mike’s design so seamless fit in with our property’s footprint and curb the design, it makes our home look like a true original. In fact, people are surprised when we tell them that our home was remodeled at all! We continue to get wonderful comments on how beautiful our home is, thank you Craftsmen’s Guild. I would definitely recommend these gentleman to anyone thinking of starting a remodeling project.

We cannot say enough good things about Craftsmen’s Guild, as our friends and family already know! Our home went through a fairly extensive remodel and addition and we are so pleased with the outcome. If you are looking for a firm who takes pride in their work and stands behind it, who coordinates all of the pieces so you don’t have to, and who makes you feel like you are the most important client they have, you will want to meet Mike, Matt and Callie. We were impressed by their professionalism, their ethics, and their sincerity. Working with them was a wonderful experience!

In 2009, we hired Craftsmen’s Guild of Cupertino, California to help us remodel our 1930 house. We are generally unhappy with the experience and would like to spare others our disappointment. We originally hired them just to create plans for our potential remodel — they promised to create accurate sketches of the home and proposed modifications. We felt that their resulting plans were not very accurate or complete, but we agreed to have them do the work.
We feel that Mike oversold his firm. After an initial verbal consultation at our home, we walked away with a very different impression than what we had after the project. We hired a design and build firm because we knew there was design work, but were disappointed with the level of design assistance they provided, and the number of details we had to figure out and keep track of ourselves.
We believe we could have found a better firm to address our desires. In particular, we would not recommend this firm to those with tight schedule expectations, complex projects requiring clear communication, or unconventional design including green remodeling.

Our kitchen and dining area were transformed by the three brothers (Craftsmen’s Guild) ten years ago.
My husband is 6 ft. 2 in. and I am 5 ft. 2 in. We both wanted to be comfortable in our kitchen. We have been so pleased with their clever ideas, which were expertly implemented and have stood the test of time. We thoroughly recommend them.

Working with Craftsmen Guild was a very pleasant experience during all phases of our project. The end result was spectacular. We couldn’t have expected any better. They have done two separate residence remodels for us and in each case they were professional and always attentive. Whenever there was an issue, Mike and Matt were there to manage the resolution which met or exceeded our expectations.
