Happy Days Child Development Center

i was very much a parent at happy days and my experiences are true and were horrible to go through. Also, my friend who had a son the same age as my son noticed the teachers would do the same to another boy in the class who was having difficulty potty training. they would rush to change his clothes upon noticing that the parent was coming.

My son went there at 3, he had an accident around the eye area and I didn’t even get an accident report. Later on, he really hated going to school, and he started getting scared of other kids easily. For example, when he was playing on a slide in a park and saw another kids coming, he would rush down the slide, and got away quickly. We left happy days soon after and he is still kind of scared of other kids after 2 months.

We currently have 2 children at Happy Days (2 yr old and 4 yr old), and we’re very happy with the care they receive there. I think that the academic yet still enjoyable and fun approach towards learning is why my 4 yr old asks me to pick her up later than I do — she just wants to stay and do art and play with her friends. My 2 yr old has been in both the infant rooms and the toddler class, and the teachers in both of these rooms seem to really like working with small children. I love that there is a hot lunch program and healthy snacks (fresh veggies and fruits every day). You walk in to the daycare center and you can feel that it’s a fun and positive place to be. We also really like the diversity of the teachers and kids who go to Happy Days and that our kids are exposed, at an early age, to different holidays and cultures.

This is the best place for your child. Our daughter went here from 8 months till 2.5 years old.
All teachers are really great!!! She will never have any concerns of going to the daycare — she loved the place. It would be difficult to get her back home.
We originally started to have an internet feed for the room but later we found that the place and people are so great that you really do not need it.
The rooms are really clean and airy everything is well organized. Our daughter learnt colors, reading, etc all at Happy Days. There are lot of toys and a lot of open places for kids to run around. The team is really awesome! If we had no need to move our home we would have continued our daughter here.
When our daughter moved to another room and as she was still drinking milk — they even put a new fridge in the room for her milk.

when my daughter was about to attend a Pre school, I contacted 40+ such schools, visited 16 schools and sat in the classes with the children, spent totally 2 months. The final best one: Happydays in Cupertino. Believe me, it’s the best. The reasons: happy and nice teachers and Principal, 1:8 teacher/​student ratio, bathroom inside the classroom, semi-​indoor playground — a special design to avoid sun-​burn, plus an outdoor playground, fresh on-​site cooked hot lunch, clean, well organized, safe… Everyday, no matter how early I went there to pick up my daughter, she kept playing there, till the last one, the Principal was going home, had to «chase» her out to lock the school.
The school owner has been the same family since the beginning of the school, each year, the found, an old lady very nice lady, came to school to meet the parents, to give a talk, her son is now managing the 2 Happydays schools, the Principal, Stephanie, is very nice, capable and responsible…
Till today, my daughter is 4^th grade, she often go back to see the school — usually in the evenings or weekend when she’s out of school. She also often talks with her Happydays friends about the «naughty» things and the funs they had together. This shows how much good memory she has in her mind.
It’s true that the Principal is strict to the kids on executing school rules, such as that the kids cannot talk or shout during nap time. If the kids do that, the Principal would go there, try her best to stop them. I view this as a good thing. Imagine, if she did not do that, the whole class would be disturbed and cannot sleep and rest well, therefore, tolerating on kid bad behavior is equivalent to hurting the rest of the whole class kids.
Send your kids there, you won’t regret.

Happy Days has a staff that genuinely cares about children and their development. The facility is very clean, has multiple layers of doors for security and an efficient Internet classroom viewing option. My son has attended since he was 8 months old an the infant rooms and teachers are great. He is now 2 years old and he is experiencing a very well rounded curriculum and play time. The director and staff are always visible and friendly. Even teachers of (much) older children know my son and welcome him by name. They have a convenient schedule from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Happy Days embraces all cultures and celebrates all religious holidays while educating the kids about them. The parent community is friendly and caring. I would definitely recommend Happy Days.

Both of my children (3.5yo & 1yo) attend Happy Days and we’re extremely satisfied with the school and the staff. The teachers are _​outstanding_​. Infant and Toddler class size is small affording the kids lots of individual attention. The preschool classes are larger but still small enough that my eldest still felt loved by his teachers. Both of my kids are thriving at this school and I intend to keep them here through Kinder. I would highly recommend this school to any parents but most especially Apple parents since the location _​cannot_​be beat :)

My kid joined Happy Days since this January. He is a slow-​warming-​up person. At first two weeks, he felt frustrated because of the unfamiliar environment. The teachers are patient and nice, the materials are fun and interesting. Gradually, I saw him changing. By now he is very happy going to the class and enjoys the learning and activities. He is very comfortable with teachers, students in his room, he also greets with every teacher. Happy kids also encourages diversity and create unique ways to celebrate holidays of various cultures. As parents, I am very grateful to the teachers and the healthy, cooperative environment in Happy kids. I highly recommend Happy kinds.

Our daughter went to Happy Days at Cupertino for 5 years.
It was not an easy task to find a daycare we felt comfortable with. After seeing several places we decided on Happy Days.
We loved the internal open space where kids from different ages could interact.
As the bay area is a beautiful mix of people coming from all over the world, we were happy about the daycare openness to share the variety of cultures through celebrations. I must admit my wife and I learned from these experiences too.
We also felt that the daycare leadership and teachers took a positive approach whenever our child needed help. The combination of it all gave us confidence and peace of mind.
We know our daughter loved the place. We kept on visiting the daycare and kept catching up with the teachers even after our daughter went to 1^st grade. She carries great memories and friendships from Happy Days till this day. In retrospect, this is what we were looking for.

ok so my 3 year old went here for the first time, and on his second day I dropped in at 1pm as I’d forgotten to bring a blanket for hime. Apparently, he was causing trouble by not napping with all the other kids (when he doesn’t normally nap while at home), while sweeping up was going on around him and toys were available. So many distractions, so much excitement, and he was expected to sleep. Perhaps allowing him to play quietly in the corner might have been more productive. After this, the director decided that my child was «having trouble settling in», deciding he needed constant attention as he needed more than no-​attention at lunchtime, and then having the audacity to try and upsell us to full time.
We won’t be going back.
Also, I don’t believe that the quotas advertised were maintained throughout the day.
You can also see the staff hanging chatting around while children drag at each other if you watch the webcam in the afternoon.
Look elsewhere. Also — don’t pay for their webcam, you can view it for free if you have the right details (ask other parents).

Happy days has good infant rooms but poor learning environment for toddlers and older. We our kids at Happy Days for 4 years. It was a very positive place until 2010 when management fell apart. The school administrators treat the teachers very poorly. The teachers had no control over their schedule. The teachers would be told where to go or even not bother to come to work with just 1 day notice, depending on the number of kids in the school. As the result, the teacher turn over is very high. It is not unusual to have new teachers in a room every few days or weeks. The oral and written language skill of many of the teachers is marginal. The biggest problem with this school is management. Because they treat the teachers so poorly, they are not able to recruit and retain good teachers.

I visited probably over 25 schools trying to find the right one for our little one. Found places that were gross, with teachers that didn’t seem interested, some even smelled, or some were bilingual in languages we don’t speak. On Thursday before having to put him in preschool before starting work on Monday my husband told me about Happy Days close to his job. I went to check it out the same day, yes they gave me an appointment the same day, and right then and there registered him.
He’s been there for over a month now and I couldn’t be happier. The place is so clean, you can never smell a dirty diaper, the teachers are super nice, and my little one hugs them every day when he comes in. They have a webcam which allows me to watch him during the day when I miss him. They also do a lot of activities where parents can participate.
The student to ratio is small, the smallest I found in all schools I visited. And they have an indoor playground which allows the kids to play outside when it’s raining, really wonderful during winter time.
Could it be cheaper? Yes it could, but is it possible to run a place like this in conditions for cheaper? probably not.
We go to the one in Cupertino and I would recommend anyone looking for a school in that area to check them out!

Guess I’ll be the first person to post my review that Happy Days CDC is a magnificant place and my little one is a thriving happy go lucky kid! Yes, monthly fees are on the higher side but my husband and I have sacraficed the minor things in our material life to ensure out little one is surrounded around nurturing teachers/​guardians. We had started out in a home care situation when our son was 4 months… that went well until they shut the day care down due to allegations of abuse… long story short — we decided that it was better to have our son in a place that had more then one provider (or 2 for the matter). As we all know, we all have bad days… at least the toddlers shouldn’t get the brunt of a person’s bad day.
Anyway, back to Happy Days… it’s a two thumbs up facility… clean, great teacher to student ratio, informative staff, great curriculum, etc.
