On the Edge of Coaching

Carol was absolutely amazing! My fiancé and I decided to do some pre-​marriage counseling to work on some of our issues, and we were not disappointed. Carol was incredibly insightful, patient, and understanding to both of our needs. She created a safe environment that enabled us to respectfully share our feelings, and equipped us with the skills to handle any conflict that arose outside of our sessions. We left every session with a renewed sense of hope that we could get through any challenge that life threw our way.
Carol also helped each of us on an individual level as well. My fiancé and I were struggling with our own personal issues that were preventing us from living a full and happy life. Carol broke down each of our situations, helped us identify the causes, as well as provided us with invaluable ideas/​mindsets to help us overcome our obstacles.
I would highly suggest Carol to any and all couples/​individuals who are looking for a person to not only help you get through the tough times, but to genuinely make you feel like you are capable of anything. Carol, we will never be able to thank you enough for your help. You truly have forever changed our lives for the better.

Our sessions with Carol were invaluable! This review is looooong overdue… A year ago my fiancé (now husband ;) it worked! lol) called Carol after finding her on Unilocal and reading all the great reviews to ask her if she provided pre-​marital coaching. To Carol’s surprise it was a male initiating and seeking out the coaching sessions without a woman’s push to do so. He felt immediately comfortable talking with Carol over the phone and they set up a meeting for all of us. She created a very safe and open environment to discuss really personal topics. It is really hard for me to open up and in the past I have talked with a psychologist and was really turned off by the whole experience of counseling, coaching, therapy, etc, but Carol was really different and she made opening up feel really easy and natural. I loved the initial assessment of finding your own Personal Love Language and using the Bridging the Gap assessment was a really easy way to identify areas of agreement and disagreement between one another that would have never surfaced without this tool. She is a pro on helping with communication and I really liked that she gave us work to complete before the next sessions. She is very organized and has such a kind and warm heart. She went above and beyond to connect with me on a personal level aside from the pre-​marital coaching. The connection and trust that was created with her helped in the success of our sessions and ultimately in our relationship. We are now almost at our one year anniversary and are doing really well! Of course the work of a relationship is ongoing and for that we will absolutely return back to work with her as needed to ensure our relationship maintains the solidarity that she was able to help us create before getting married. Thank you soooo much!

The experience we had with Carol was incredibly helpful to our relationship. She guided us to talk about many things that we had brushed over or never thought to ask, which was super enlightening. I have never been very introspective, but Carol helped me think more about why I act the ways I do and how to open up and become more communicative about those feelings. Without delving into too many details, the short time we spent with Carol was amazing.
For couples or individuals looking to understand themselves better, improve their communication/​knowledge of how to be happy, and have a great person against whom to bounce ideas, I absolutely recommend Carol.

I can’t say enough great things about Lisa. From our very first session, I was changed forever. She’s given me the tools to improve every aspect of my life including my business and personal relationships. I could write specific details about my experience with Lisa but I won’t because it would not be easy to stop. What I will tell you, however, is if you are ready for a positive change and you are ready for someone to steer you in the right direction with regards to perspective and personal ownership while making you feel safe and free to be who you were created to be, then I would say GO TO LISA. She has a gift for listening and detecting areas of change that you never even thought about. She will provide you with a road map that is simplistic but right on target. I feel very fortunate to have found her and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking to find their authentic self.

Sometimes it’s hard to admit to yourself that you might need a little extra help when going through a rough time. I was hesitant about opening up to someone other than a friend or family member that really know me.
Carol has made such an impact on me as an individual and my relationships with the people in my life. I joke and say the homework she had me do was like taking another class, but it is so important that you take the time out and do them. Carol is a life coach and her approach is more proactive other than dealing with a therapist and just talk about your problems. That whole it’s hard to open up to someone new part, Carol is the sweetest person. She makes you feel comfortable and you know she really cares about helping you handle what it is you’re going through.
At first my boyfriend and I went to Carol for help during a rough time. My boyfriend is such a skeptic with stuff like this but during the first session with Carol we both felt really confident with working with her. My boyfriend is the type to do his research and then check it again, he and I would highly recommend Carol to anyone really trying to get a handle on their issues. Let me tell you I’ve left so many sessions feeling like I can tackle the world and having this new confidence about myself. It’s a lot of work and you really do face and explore yourself as well as your relationships, and with someone like Carol you honestly can not be in better hands. She still checks up on my boyfriend and I through email and it really shows me her sincerity. I love that even when the sessions are over she still wants to know how you’re doing and if you need any kind of support.
Carol is one of the best people you can work with. She really knows what she’s talking about and she is one of the most genuine people I know.

I came to Carol for life coaching, and I feel lucky to have found her! Since we started working together a few short weeks ago, I am amazed at how far I’ve come. I love that I can now say this about myself:
— I am totally committed to sincerely working on myself and will not be satisfied until I am very healthy and thriving in my life.

I’ve been putting off this review for quite a while now because I never knew exactly how to sum up into words how I feel about what Carol has done for me.
Before I agreed to try counseling for personal reasons, I was extremely hesitant about what a psychologist or therapist could do for me, yet I knew that I wanted and needed to work on some issues in my life, particularly related to relationships. I half-​heartedly chose On the Edge of Coaching and had set up a free intro session «to see what this therapist had to offer» and boy am I glad I did that.
I went with my girlfriend and I walked away buzzing about how I knew from the get go that this lady could actually help me. Carol isn’t a therapist and she makes that very clear from the get go. She’s a life coach and she’s a dear friend. She’ll coach you through any aspect of life and I whole-​heartedly believe that. What she does is focus on being proactive about taking on your challenges. She’s not the typical therapist where you just sit in a room with her and vent. She lets you know what may not be working and advises you on what steps you can take to help you. She gives you different perspectives that you can practice using to tackle any trouble area in your life. She’ll give you exercises that during your sessions with her and also exercises that you will take as homework when you’re away from your sessions. Let me tell you, you’re going to have to work like you’re in school but it’s most definitely worth all the effort.
Carol is one of the most welcoming, personable, honest, straight-​up people you may ever meet and she is amazing at what she does. Whether you want to work on problem areas in your life, or just want to work on achieving higher goals for yourself, she can help you succeed. Even after my last session with her many months ago, I still receive the occasional email from her asking me about how life is. I believe that she loves what she does. She loves helping people and genuinely cares about her clients.

Just had a lunch with my beloved coach, Carol, and I can’t resist the urge to write this review after coming back home!
Thinking back many months ago, I wasn’t even sure if was coach-able…I remembered sitting anxiously by my laptop trying to figure out if I could «REALLY DRIVE UP» to Carol’s place for the initial session. I decided to take the challenge, afterall, I was really that desperate to get myself out of that miserable feeling. The situation shouldn’t have been that bad… I mean, yes, I had been a stay-​at-​home mum… and had been having the continuous «in-​house» help from my in-​laws and parents… but somehow, I just feel very out of space… especially with myself… in a nutshell, I was in a bad relationship with everyone in the family.
Well, today, I am still a mum… but a happy, grateful and hopeful mum! I’m in the process of getting my dream job started… and I know if not for Carol, I wouldn’t have been in this place… she asked me if I have found the «old Tracy» I once trying to reconnect when contacted her… I answered «no»… «I think this is a Tracy I’ve never known… and I’m a lot happier to be like this!» I do still encounter difficulties in life… but hey, I got a great personal coach, a friend, and a supporter… and I learned and appreciate more now that life is to be enjoyed!
Anyway, the first session with Carol is complementary, so, I would strongly recommend her if you’re looking for guidance to improve on the current status of your life… give her a try, and give yourself a chance… you might be able to find the «greater» YOU that is yet to be discovered! :)

My fiancé and I wanted to get premarital coaching before we got married, and I found Carol via Unilocal.She was absolutely wonderful to work with. She has the sweetest personality and is so good at what she does. She provided us with invaluable tools to use with not just each other, but also with those whom we share close personal relationships with. I am so glad we found Carol. She helped us feel even more confident and empowered about our relationship, which is vital as we embark on this next step of our lives. My fiancé and I hope to work with her again if ever needed, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for premarital coaching.

Carol was wonderful and helped us (premarital counseling) so much. We only had a short amount of time to accomplish a lot and she really accommodated our schedule. She really cared about us as a couple. I would wholeheartedly recommend her!

She is sweet, passionate, and a great spirit. It was very easy to open up to her as she was able to «peel» back my layers of defense and buried issues.

Carol is awesome. She’s a great listener, energetic, compassionate and definitely good at what she does. A friend recommended my BF and I see Carol– and let me say it was definately worth it. Carol is exceptional. Her energy, her follow-​through, her listening, her advice, and her most poignant questions combine perfectly to offer exactly what I need when I am faced with a challenge. I came to her seeking help with the most difficult personal situation I’ve ever faced, and now, with her help, I feel like I am centered, peaceful, and clear about myself and my choices in a way that I never really thought possible before.
I consider Carol to be an important part of my team for success in life moving forward, and I will seek out her coaching as long as she is willing to provide it. I only wish I had met her sooner (like a couple decades ago!).

We were so lucky to find Carol before our wedding. I was slightly skeptical when my fiancé suggested we attend coaching, but it wound up being a great experience for both of us. My fiancé and I have been visiting Carol for premarital coaching, and she has been great! As we are having a family member perform our wedding ceremony, we knew we were potentially missing out on premarital coaching that is often offered by someone of the clergy (if you are having a religious ceremony). After doing a lot of research, and speaking with Carol on the phone, we decided to try it out, and we both love it! Carol and really help us communicate more effectively and understand one another. I would recommend Carol not only for premarital coaching, but for any kind of relationship or life coaching. She often checks in with us in between sessions, which serves as a great reminder for what we should be working on in our relationship. She also has a wide variety of tools and resources that she utilizes in sessions.
