Play & Learn Preschool

Is this school closed?

We found this place uniquely attractive. It is family owned and very cozy environment. it certainly provide the intimacy which big school can never provide. The owner is fairly responsive and responsible to the suggestions or claims. She had very good understanding about child education, actually she went to college for that. One of the things we like a lot is the very diversified student populations. Both my daughters went to play and learn; they made quite a few good friends there, they even got together after they left for elementary school. Yes, there were a lot of play, but no short of learn as I witnessed. My elder one can read the whole book before she attended the kindergarten even though I don’t know much she understand it. Hey, it is a preschool. what else do you want?

Update: The review by «anon» is not an ACTUAL review. Although I was the boyfriend of a past employee, my daughter ALSO attended that school. My review was written from a parents perspective and from talking with my daughter who said she was bored at this school, not out of retaliation.
I simply call things like I see them.

I’ve been lurking on Unilocal for a long time, it’s one of my favorite sites but I never signed up to write a review.
However, I was prompted to sign up and write a review because I thought Play and Learn deserves a better rep.
It has to fit your style of parenting. I don’t think preschool should be very academic. I think preschool should have some structured enrichment activities, but that kids should be able to play and make friends.
Also, I have to say that my kids both learned to write their names and all their letters at Play and Learn, the kids do a scheduled group activity every day as well. The teachers are creative in thinking of new activities every day.
The school has a large yard and allows for plenty of outdoor play time, which I think is important.
The school works really well for me as a working mommy because you can drop off the kids at 7 am and pick up at 6 pm.
It is a small school, which is nice because the children have gotten really close to their classmates. Overall I am very pleased with this school.
